I had fantastic time at Borg el Arab! I actually ended up staying twice during my time around Alexandria. The location is very beautiful, amazing private beach with white sand and incredible blue water, well maintained by the staff- the neighbouring beaches are very dirty with lots of rubbish, but the one next to the hotel is clean. Rooms are comfortable, but a bit dated- especially bathroom. Nevertheless, I had very comfortable stay with beautiful sea view, towels and bedding were fresh and crisp. The pools are clean, there is enough of sun beds. The spa experience was also very good- simple facilities but excellent service. The food was very good with rich choice and excellent quality. I have no words to describe how amazing the staff is! Everyone was very kind and accommodating. They were extremely helpful with my queries and went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable. Everything was very easy with their attitude and they had solution to any problem. It was my birthday while I was there and they surprised me with a whole cake (which was delicious)! The price is very reasonable- it might not be a top end luxury, but for someone who would like to enjoy beautiful seaside of the Northern coast, in friendly atmosphere and not overpay this is the best place around Alexandria. It certainly met my expectations and I would stay there again.

The music was very loud. I think they reduced the volume after I made some suggestions about it, because at the end of my stay it wasn’t that loud. Some rooms might benefit from improvement in ventilation and some renovation might be a good idea

- breakfast menu is same everyday, maybe different additions will make a difference - DJ noise start at 10 am - 5pm.,, sound is unbearably high you cannot rest in your room even when doors closed. This has to stop or volume should go very low - rooms in need of renovations especially bathrooms - also rooms need to be sound proof ( no privacy) - evening entertainment needs to be improved

The hotel entrance and reception looks great. Rooms are clean with wide sea view. Staff were very friendly and nice. Breakfast with different variety of food also with wide sea view. Animation team are very active and doing their best to keep guests happy.

The sea is not safe for swimming and no waves defenders. Understaffing of the reception team makes waiting time to check in and out longer. Car parking not covered and this makes sun hitting the car all the day. The distance to reach the beach is very long and no golf car so it’s hard for elderly people to walk.

The property is amazing and very clean. The facilities such as the beach, pools and restaurant are very very clean and more than amazing. The staff are very professional and friendly, they would help you in anything you need and the lifeguards are super amazing they keep their eyes on you once you enter the pool/beach in case something happens. I would like to thank the lifeguards Noor and faris as I drowned in the sea and they helped me right away. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful beachfront location - the hotel staff maintain the beach whereas the beach adjacent to hotel was littered with trash. The property grounds are well maintained. The hotel staff are wonderful. The breakfast buffet was extensive and great views from the dining area.

The casita/room was dated and could use a remodel/refresh especially the bathroom. There were appliances like the hair dryer that looked like it was from original hotel construction which I understand to be nearly 40 years ago. The singular pillow for each of us was too hard/stiff for my personal preference. The gym was disappointing-little larger than a closet (smaller than our hotel room) and lacked equipment. There was a ping pong table but the ball was cracked so we couldn’t play. As indicated above hotel doesn’t really live up to expectations with its 5-star status.

This is my 8th year in series to have my vacation in this hotel with my family Location is one of the best , Beach is amazing as always Staff are keen to help all the time Room amenities are filled every day without asking Beach and pool service are excellent Food is good and satisfies most of guest requirements

High price of dinner and beach food, lack of food variety in some nights but generally are good and satisfying Good to know that new management is working to adjust this issue and to add half board option

- the complex itself (pool, beach access etc.) is a dream, it is as beautiful as it looks on the pictures - They offer a wide variarity of activities and shows (football, Yoga etc.) - The view from the restaurant (a good breakfast was included) to the mediterranen is super nice - you can choose between pools and a very nice beach - safe parking if you arrive by rental car

- the rooms are a bit outdated - the music during the day is be a bit loud at the lower pool, but on the other hand that is partly needed for activites and during the night is super quite and peaceful and you have an upper pool which is more quite - We played Billard in the evening and its 5 Euros for 1 hour (that would be cheeper in a lot of european places and could be included in a hotel anyway) - not important for us but the gym is super small und outdated

The place is amazing, breakfast has many varieties, the beach is wonderful, and life guards are always vigilant. The animation team had nice activities on the pool and beach area. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Thank you, Mr. Mahmoud, for always being keen to satisfy your guests and making sure that everything is going well with them on a daily basis.

Nothing, but WiFi is only strong in the reception , that can be taken into consideration, more beach activities can be also made.

Staff is outstanding although checking-in was not that perfect. However after that Mr. Mahmood showed up and showed superior customer service which we really admired. The facility is great and very clean. Lots of swimming pools and great private beach. The facility provides great privacy and good spot for couples, elderly and families with kids. Breakfast is great and special thanks to Mr. Hoss who goes around every table making sure guests needs are met.

Washrooms a bit outdated and required upgrade. Wifi is weak however management mentioned they are currently upgrading the Wifi coverage. More activities or shows during the night

The staff was great. Friendly, helpful, and always try to resolve issues. The hotel itself evolved a lot since our last visit. We were also greeted with a very nice room upgrade that got us to enjoy the stay way more. We really appreciated that. The food was really exceptional. Thanks guys!

Wi-Fi doesn't work except in the hotel's lobby. We tried only one swimming pool, the dirtiest I've ever seen in my life. It literally doesn't get cleaned, ever. The beach's sand is also very dirty, which is something the hotel can solve but did nothing about. I would love to see the hotel's approach to the cleanliness of its facilities change. The rooms were clean, though.
