Staff were very welcoming and friendly, especially Juan Antonio 5 ⭐. Hotel Facilities and room amenities were exceptional for a 3 star accommodation. The location and view was excellent, I’ve added some photos from our room balcony. I wouldn’t hesitate returning to this place for another visit and would highly recommend anyone who wants to stay in the Benalmadena area to consider this hotel. Location, views, facilities and staff attentiveness.

We love to relax with a family in Spain and this time we chose Andalusia.When choosing a hotel we were guided by proximity to the sea, comfortable accommodation and reviews of guests. Our apartments in Sahara Sunset exceeded our expectations! Well-equipped kitchen with all necessary accessories, including washing machine, oven, dishwasher and filtered drinking water, spacious terrace with sun beds and table with chairs, spacious living room and two bedrooms, two TVs with USB connection. Friendly staff at reception and throughout the hotel, lovely pools, sunny weather contributed to wonderful holidays for 2 weeks. The only thing is that there are no lifts in this hotel, so we had to go up and down each time on the steps (we had 40 of them!) But we knew about it when ordering the apartments and asked for a higher floor. So we had extra free fitness every day. There are beautiful places for walks in Benalmadena itself, and there is also the possibility to get to Malaga on the Nr.110 bus without problems. Very cheap fare - 0,45 EUR per trip (you need to buy tickets in advance in Tabacos). We booked an excursion to Ronda in advance and were very pleased with it. In short, the holidays was wonderful !

Groups of noisy drunks “ Not the hotels fault “

The apartments are well equipped, very clean, and the location is excellent. I will definitely return.

The restaurant was more expensive than the local restaurants, and one day I was overcharged and when I queried the bill (charged for food that I didn't receive) the waiter became very annoyed and argued with me. However, Sahara Sunset is perfectly located beside a wide range of sea front restaurants.. I must highlight that despite this experience the staff at the resort were friendly and very helpful.

Staff always very helpful, everything you could want in the apartment, very good size, excellent wifi.

They charge €15 per person per day if you want to use the indoor pool and gym etc which I was not expecting. It should be included in the price of your room. Beware when you are booking as I clicked on the free cancellation and pay on a date in the future weeks before our trip but it took my payment straight away and then when I contacted them they said no I clicked on the wrong one, I know I definitely had picked the free cancellation and payment at the Hotel. Just be careful!!!

Front desk was incredible especially Sabestian who checked us into the room. He took his time and went over activities and even suggested fun things to do with the kids within the area (since it was off season). We had room R2 and it was so comfortable and spacious with the balcony over looking the pool and ocean. There is a ping pong table and an indoor pool (small but comfortable) and a jaquzzi. There is also an outdoor pool but it was to cold since we went in January but we did lay out there and enjoyed some cocktails. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Loved everything

We had to book our stay on landing in Malaga due to another accommodation cancelling our booking. On arrival at the Sahara Sunset, the reception staff, especially Juan Antonio, were amazing. They couldn't do enough for us and made sure we had a lovely apartment in a quiet area of the complex. The location of the resort was brilliant. Everything is just a short walk away. The resort restaurant and bar were more than adequate, but again, staff were lovely. Cannot fault it and would definitely return.

Sunbeds were difficult to obtain if you went down to the pool after 9am. Maybe allocation of sunbeds to customers on arrival is something that could be put in place.

Had to que up at 8am to get access to sun loungers around pool on busy days.

Fabulous apartment complex, stayed for 4 days over Easter with my family (4 kids). Very friendly and helpful staff - they accommodated a late checkout for us and nothing was a problem. I had requested an apartment with sun and our was perfect, had sunshine all day. Had a wonderful massage in the spa (thanks Fanny!). Apartment was spotless, had everything we needed and plenty of towels etc. Very central location, near beach, restaurants and promenade to Marina. Lovely pool area, clean and quiet (water was cold but refreshing). Didn't use indoor pool but it looked lovely.

Couldn't fault anything.

Apartment was very nicely appointed, modern, and very clean. The beds were comfortable (not soft but not too hard). The kitchen was small but surprisingly well supplied and very functional… allowing us to cook some great meals for four. Having an outdoor patio was lovely, and gave us easy access to the pool area, which we enjoyed sitting around on warm days. We enjoyed playing table tennis, giant chess, and mini golf too. The staff was very friendly and professional. Parking was easy and access to the beach quick.

We didn’t enjoy the plethora of rules that seemed to particularly target teens (14 & 17). They were not allowed to use the hot tub because of perceived health risks. They weren’t allowed to use the resort beach ball in the outdoor pool. They weren’t allowed to use the gym. The rules were stated as being normal to the area but our teens had no issues using the gym at the community centre up the street. These rules were very disappointing because use of the gym and hot tub greatly influenced our selection of this resort in the first place. This resort is not listed as adults only and in fact has a little pool for toddlers and has a kids club for 12 and under.
