Staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Gardens are paradise on earth. A parrot, duck pond, guinea pigs and cats happily live in the grounds. A 55m salt water pool is unprecedented in a hotel. Breakfast and dinner buffet was well organised and delicious with beautiful outdoor seating. Room was spacious, fitted with a kitchen and living room. There is a mini market with essential food and toiletries.

The gym was sparsely equipped.

The gardens are exquisite and cared for with exceptional attention to detail. If a leaf dares to fall it is picked up immediately! The pool area is beautiful, with masses of seating, and the pool itself is spotless. Every single member of staff is delightfully friendly and helpful. The apartments feel spacious and are immaculate, like the entire complex. Personally I didn’t much care for the green theme which looks a bit drab, but we got used to it. The bathroom was attractive and there was plentiful hot water. The view from Block C is glorious. The shop was surprisingly well stocked considering it only caters for hotel guests. The restaurant is attractive, with plenty of inside, outside and semi-outside seating. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was fine but not particularly exciting, especially for vegetarians, though what we ate was always of good quality. Parking was sometimes tricky, though using the garden gate rather than the front door helped considerably when we were parked further away. The airport was nearby, which was ideal, especially as it isn’t particularly busy and the planes using it are small, so the noise wasn’t a nuisance at all. The area close by seemed slightly rundown - empty shops, closed cafes, etc., but for the most part we were out and about (we hired a car), so that wasn’t a problem. Not far from gorgeous Santa Cruz. All in all, we loved our stay at Hacienda San Jorge, and would highly recommend it for a lovely peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings. A very well-run establishment.

Bedroom colour scheme, but maybe I’m the odd one out!

The lovely garden setting and pool were the highlights. Our apartment was clean and well equipped with a sea view. The staff were lovely, friendly and good at their jobs.

Food was buffet style - not my preferred choice - volume over quality. We ate out most nights or cooked something light in our apartment.

I think I’ve finally found the exotic vibe I was looking for! The hotel has a stunning botanical garden, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the rooms were absolutely amazing. It even reminded me of the hotels from The White Lotus, a series I absolutely love! Thank you for the wonderful experience and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back next time - with our cats!

We liked the territory a lot - especially for the child it was perfect with the small digs and Lola :) the pool was good and just eat the beach - also good for children

We didn’t like the food at all! Poor breakfast and also the dinner .. we were expecting better choice and quality of the food for the money we have paid ..and also with the room - 2 adults and baby of 3 years old to provide 2 single beds united .. not very comfortable with child .. but as soon as we were just 2 nights we decided not to bother anyone ..

Not that it's any problem, but there were mainly elderly couples, which is obviously the target group of the hotel

Spacious appartment with all comfort you might expect. comfy bed, big sofa, decent kitchenette. very clean everywhere and strict/efficient Covid protocol. good breakfast spread and friendly service in restaurant as well in reception.

- needs deco pillows on sofa, quite hard to sit on - restaurant chairs need repairs - paint jobs needed throughout resort outside areas
