This place was just perfect celebrating my husbands 50th birthday with relaxing environment and great food. The room was big with cosy facilities such as bubble bath with view and fire place ( not used and not sure if you can) The infinity pool was calm with beautiful view. The restaurant has amazing food, everything we ordered was delicious. I truly recommend this place for couples for relaxing stay with natural environment. Will definitely come back

If I would pour out something to improve maybe have a bar or kiosk close to the pool to buy drinks or water during hot summer days.

the service is basic, the rooms are a bit worn and the staff almost doesnt speak English. its sometimes a bit confusing and hopeless, but on the other side, its charming :) if the cons are necessary for the pros, we accept that fully. the question is: would we come back? and the answer is: absolutely

The hotel was amazing - beautiful old converted monastery; rooms were spacious and well appointed; gorgeous tilework. Property was expansive and gorgeous. Pool over-looked the valley. Wish we had stayed more days and we definitely want to come back. Restaurant was excellent and super accommodating of our halal meal requirements for dinners. Breakfast was excellent too. Location was great for day trips via rental car to Seville, Algeciras, Ronda, and Marbella.

Good value. Unique setting, remote but with easy access to main routes. The location is beautiful, the residential buildings and courtyards are perfect and tranquil. It's a small 17th century property so don't expect 'concrete tower' technical performance. Really liked the restaurant menu - local sourcing with rustic twist but big big starters.

Accessibility - some of the ramps into the main building and courtyards need a little more thought, also entrance and exit to restaurant and swimming pool area. NB: cobbles at the front, beautiful but juddery.

Loved that the hotel was very secluded & had a lovely pool area. The history of the buildings I am sure is really fascinating & they are very beautiful.

Had issues with the WiFi which was fixed by changing rooms. We were surprised that for the number of English speaking guests that were there while we were, there was no translation of the menu in the restaurant & the staff weren’t able to speak enough English to advise what the meals were.

The location and surroundings were fabulous! The old convent was nicely renovated and looked fantastic. There was a beautiful walking trail which went through the cork forest around the area. We also took a guided 2 hours 4x4 car tour on the mountains and saw great 360 degrees views around the whole Castellar de la Frontera area. The driver / guide was very friendly and answered to all our questions. All in all a really nice one night stay in La Almoraima. Thank you!

The hotel is comfortable and charming. The rural setting makes it very peaceful and quiet whilst also being close to many bars and restaurants. The pool area was lovely with great views, but getting to the pool is a little cumbersome if you have mobility issues or prams (it is what it is though given the rural setting/location of the hotel premises).

The service at the restaurant wasn't great when we had dinner there.

This hotel is a gem. If you are looking for relaxation in nature, it is perfect. The rooms are lovely and clean, the pool is amazing and there are fantastic walks all around the property.

As this is a beautiful location and venue, if you are looking for relaxation, be careful that there isn’t a wedding on. We left just as wedding preparations were starting and it was definitely not so relaxing then.

The breakfast was amazing! Everything was fresh and cooked to order huevos were a huge bonus. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The grounds and surrounding area were beautiful, especially the hiking trails.

The hotel seemed understaffed. That’s not to take anything away from the employees; all were accommodating. Walls are extremely thin in that I could hear a person in the room adjacent to mine.

An exceptional place to stay. A country retreat, which really delivers the wow factor, in spades. A converted convent, which oozes history. We only stayed for one night, but booked one of the rooms with a balcony - which was huge! It also had a spa bath, which was an added bonus. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, too. An all round wonderful experience in the Andalucian countryside, with free on-site parking.
