The reception staff were very friendly and let us store our luggage for several few hours before check in. Although the room itself was pretty basic, it was clean, comfortable and had the essentials, namely a decent shower with good water pressure and a nice temperature. I would definitely recommend Hostal Abami to fellow travellers as it is superb value for money and situated close to the city centre. This, all in all, makes it a pleasant stay with a reasonable price tag.

To make the room better, I recommend adding a mini fridge so people can store bottles of water/snacks for during their stay.

Everything was clean and the staff were super friendly! The location is excellent and have a small market right next to the hostel. They booked me a taxi to the airport verybearly because Uber service is not very reliable, and everything was smooth. You don’t pay them directly as the only book the taxi but the taxi drivers charged us 33€ which was the price I saw when searching. Internet connection was super fast and worked wonderfully!!

You can hear everything in the hallway and during our stay there were other guests that made a lot of noise when arriving/leaving.

The room had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and was very affordable compared to even shared, dormitory style hostels nearby. The room was well equipped with power outlets, surfaces to place belongings, a refrigerator, places to put bags and clothes, had a TV, and the lights could be controlled from the bedside.

The shower door had been incorrectly installed so that, when moving the door to enter or exit, it had to be lifted off of the rail to clear the incorrectly attached fastener. Furthermore, the toilet roll holder was missing. I also wish there was a liner in the bin, I didn't want to put waste in it as it would be an inconvenience to the cleaning staff! These issues were so minor though that we didn't feel the need to alert the hotel.

We loved staying in Hostal Abami II, it is perfectly located in the center of Madrid, close to everything - metro, Gran Via, bars, shops but again in a quiet neighbourhood. Staff is amazing, welcoming and helpful. Rooms are small, but we were out all day and came back only to sleep. Everything is clean. The only thing that we missed are more shelves or something to put our things on. We will definitely recommend them to anyone going to Madrid.

The location is perfect, within walking distance to the main sights in city-center, but also a very short walk to a subway station. Staff was beyond friendly and was always available to help. Just to add, you need a phone with a working data plan or wifi to be able to contact reception when checking-in. As with many European hotels, we stayed on a second floor in a building with no elevator, so keep that in mind if you have difficulties climbing stairs or carrying heavy luggage.

Excellent location in the city center, walking distance close to all facilities , friendly and supporting staff. The room has a fridge , a water cooker view on the street.

The reception is not available 24/7 , but the staff supports you anyway . Being in the city with window on the street can be noisy some nights . The Safe is not functioning and the fridge is on a power plug which switches off when you leave the room.

The room was clean and functional with plenty of space for one. The en-suite was clean and well maintained. I have stayed at the Hotel Abami previously so knew what to expect.

A minor thing, the room was on the second floor of the property and the building does not have a lift. Good for keeping my step count up, but occassionally it's nice to take a ride! As ever with these hotels, where rooms have been built into an existing property, the sound insulation between rooms is not the best, it's not a big issue for me, but if you were a ligtht sleeper, you might this an issue. Similarly, my room was at the front of the property and street noise can filter in.

I think the most I liked was the kindness of the man of the hostal. He was so friendly and helpfull. It gave a feeling of being welcome. The communication was good. The room was good, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. Very near to everything you want to see, but also quiet. Supermarkt next door. Perfect

It all was good

I did not have great expectations because of the cheap price, but I was wrong. The location is amazing, near Gran Via, Plaza de España and Callao. The room is small but it has everything I needed, enough towels, good AC, "persianas" to block the light. It is a very convenient place, and for a very good price.
