Great location, exceptionally helpful staff, it was more than what we expected. Clean area and location. Parking is by valet when you check-in if you bring a car. The breakfast was excellent, had all types of options available, including for little kids. The hotel room was very spacious for downtown Madrid. Very clean, attentive staff, and even if you forgot something -- they have you covered. Although a bit far to walk to the historic center (about 40min or more), there are plenty of taxis, access points to the Metro. it was very close to the diplomatic area, so if you have business to do, this is a great location.

Breakfast is not accessible for strollers or wheelchairs. They should consider having the lift stop on the floor of the breakfast to have increased accessibility

A Memorable Stay at NH Collection Abascal We recently traveled to Madrid for business and had the pleasure of staying at the NH Collection Hotel Abascal. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely fantastic. The service was impeccable, and every staff member we encountered was both helpful and polite. A special mention goes to Rebeca and Azu from the restaurant, whose warmth and professionalism made our mornings truly enjoyable. The rooms were spotlessly clean, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment after long days of work. The hotel’s location was perfect, providing easy access to key areas of the city while still feeling peaceful and exclusive. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay—truly tremendous! The variety, quality, and presentation exceeded our expectations. Furthermore, the design and ambiance of the hotel and its restaurant were stunning, combining elegance and modernity seamlessly. We wholeheartedly recommend NH Collection Abascal to anyone visiting Madrid, whether for business or leisure. This hotel sets a high standard for hospitality and comfort.

The hotel is in an excellent location, elegant and very comfortable. The breakfast is average, perhaps lacking in terms of meeting guests' needs. We requested a double bed but were given two beds pushed together, but made up separately. Given the season and the heat, this wasn't a problem, but it would certainly have been an issue in winter temperatures.

The breakfast experience was not up to the standard of the hotel, and the bed, which we had requested to be a double, was actually two single beds.

Beautifully appointed entrance, lobby, hallways and room. Very welcoming and professional reception. The premium room was spacious with a nice separation between the entry and bedroom. Was able to work at my laptop at the generous desk and then retreat to the bistro sitting area in front of the windows to enjoy my coffee. Their was also a sleeper sofa which we didn’t use but appreciated the extra seating. The roomy shower was fabulous with a rainfall and handheld option. The bathtub also had a separate handheld shower head to rinse off after bathing. The small face wash cloths were a pleasant surprise. Air conditioning was especially appreciated as the outside tenps were courting the low 100s f.

The shower water spilled over onto the outer floor, regardless of how careful we were. The room was not as soundproof as expected. I could clearly hear conversations, doors closing and other sounds.

I loved the location, super close to two subway stations and bus nr 5 which will take you to multiple landmarks. I loved the bus, it was awesome. The hotel is very comfortable, I was able to sleep in and it was quiet and inviting. The staff was super helpful. The breakfast was great but I only really ate it twice, there are tons of restaurants in the area and I wanted to try them all! I recommend walking around the are where the hotel is located because youll find pockets of restaurants bars and cafes that are very good. Theres a large mall north of the hotel, I loved going shopping there. Area is super safe like all of Madrid.

Staff was lovely and helpful. Pretty room with all amenities. Only negatives - bad pillows and my room was interior and next to the elevator which went ding ding all night. That’s a pretty big negative. Room should be for emergencies only. If I were staying longer I would have asked to be moved.

A short stay during a business trip. The hotel is close to a metro station herewith very well connected to all locations I had to visit. The stay was very pleasant, the hotel has obviously highly professional staff, both at the front desk and in the restaurant, They were helpful and very friendly all the time. I recommend this hotel.

I really enjoyed my time staying at NH Abascal. My room was clean and definitely enough space for one person. Staff were kind, and the breakfast was fantastic (so many options, high quality food, attentive staff). No matter how late I stayed up, I made a point to grab breakfast the following morning. Totally worth the cost of including it in your reservation. Gregorio Marañón (lines 7 & 10) and Alonso Cano (line 7) are the closest metro stops...and also lots of buses nearby; really easy to get to the from the airport, and also relatively easy to get to the city center from the area (Iglesia (1 line) metro stop is slightly further away.) Hotel was quiet, and located in a quiet and nice part of town; most guests I saw were older adults. If this is what you're looking for then NH Abascal is a great option!

I stayed there while it was consistently 100° F in the city for a few days, and I felt like the AC never really was cool enough, especially if I was moving around and getting ready in my room. One elevator wasn't working, so it was a bit slow, but nothing worth not staying. Other than that, I'd say I didn't see too much to do in the area...there are a few restaurants, but other neighborhoods are equally away from the city center but are a bit more lively.

Staff were professional and helpful. Special thanks to Anna. The first day, I received a thank you card and candies for being their guest. That was a very nice thing to do! The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was big and the shower's water pressure was very good. The hotel is about 20-30 mins. walk to the city centre. This hotel after each cleaning uses air fresheners that could be strong for some people, if you have allergies/asthma, I suggest that to notify the hotel prior your arrival and ask them not to use it while you are there. I was able to open the windows, which helped me with the first day, and after that I made sure that they didn't spray my room while I was there.
