Check-in and check-out were very easy. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room itself was quite nice. Big and clean we were 5 but we have only 2 queen bed (for 4 people). The room had a microwave, which was a plus. Wi-Fi was free but slow. The best part, in my opinion, was the breakfast. It was quite delicious and sufficient. The availability of free and secure parking was also an important feature. The location is a bit inconvenient, but there is an hourly shuttle service, and they are helpful if you call. The metro is about a 20-minute walk, and the A58 bus stops right in front of the hotel. Other hotels in Ballston may be closer to the metro station, but it’s up to you to decide based on price-performance.

I think the hallway had a slight smell of urine. I stayed in room 201, and the corridor leading to our room had this odor, which I noticed throughout the 4-day stay. The fridge was empty—of course, no alcohol or anything unusual—but water is an essential drink, and you can buy a half-liter bottle at Costco for about 10 cents, which is very affordable. It would have been nice to have 4–5 bottles of water available in the fridge. However, no shampoo was provided during our 4-day stay. Luckily, we had brought our own and used those. The TVs seemed to be from around 2010. With very simple devices like a Roku, they could be upgraded to smart TVs for around \$20. Satellite channels are outdated—this really needs to be modernized.

The breakfast was provided daily. On time. Well managed. And kept warm, clean, and fresh. The staff from the front desk to the custodial staff were very friendly. Our room was kept nice and clean every day. Our family was new to the area so we were glad it was so close to downtown since we were driving in every day. It was easy to get into downtown DC and back out daily. Accommodations were affordable as well, which is a plus for planning when traveling with a family.

The soft drinks for sale in the lobby were outrageous. I had to purchase one with my breakfast and it was $8+. Considering you paid for your stay there, maybe it’s possible to offer a discount or allow guest to purchase from vending at a lesser cost.

The house cleaning staff were very helpful in providing towels when we needed them. Their breakfast was good, really liked the waffles we could make.

The bathtub had mold in spots around the caulking. Th TV remote was a generic (cheap) one, and you couldn't go to a specific digital channel. You had to scroll up or down using the channel + or - buttons.

Excellent location. Comfortable beds and clean room. Breakfast was better than many hotels i’ve been to which many different options and selection changes everyday (eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes) bread, yogurt, fruits, waffle, juices, coffee, tea. The hotel offers 24/7 coffee and lemonade is available for many hours of the day. The staff is super nice and helpful. AJ helped us a lot regarding the metro. I would say the metro is better if you are travelling alone, but for families of 3+ i would suggest paying for parking garages in DC as you can find $15 flat rate (all day). The metro to DC back and forth costs about $6 per person.

Nothing to complain about

We stayed 2 days and really had a very good stay..this place delivers a great value when you take into account parking and breakfast. The room size was large, the bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. Breakfast was kept clean and stocked even when it was getting mobbed. The neighborhood is super safe and the walk to the nearby metro stop is not bad...10-12 min. Although we worked out that it was quicker and the same price to park in an underground lot in DC (near Ford's Theater) for the same price as 2x tickets to and fro. So we did that on Saturday since that was the day we checked out as well. Highly recommend this hotel and we are picky. We don't like to overpay but we need something comfortable.

We did have to change from the initial assigned room due to a smell that was either vape or AC refrigerant. But it was no problem and our 2nd room was fine. The shower made a whistle the 1st day but not the 2nd. 1 of 2 elevators was down for maintenance both days of our stay. The lobby clogged up a little due to the odd stairs location. None of this is that big of a deal.

The location was great! I travel with my husband , my 9 yr old son and my 2yr daughter. Every hour they have a free shuttle that takes you to the Ballston Metro Station and picks you up as well when returning g to the hotel. One day we did not wanted to sit for the shuttle to pick us up and we walk through a very nice neighborhood and it was only a 10 min walk form the metro to the hotel. The hotel has free parking as well. Is near a lot of restaurants just walking distance. Rooms were big and beds were very comfortable. Cleaning was excellent as well. The room had a small fridge but bigger than the standard you find in others. It also had a microwave. We had breakfast included and for the price it was more than we expected. They had boiled eggs or scrambled. They had a Machine to do your own waffles , bagels, bread English muffins, orange , apples, instant oat meal, cereals, 3 different kinds of d of juice, tea, coffee, instant chocolate, muffins or other pastries. Hotel staff was super friendly and always willing to answer questions about best spots in DC and how to get there. We went every day to DC and it was only a 20 min commute to the Smithsonian Station. I will definitely stay there with my family again. The only thing they do not have is a Laundry room so I had to look for one (less than a mile away but not the best one) .

The room was clean and the beds were awesome. Asher, the front desk person was extremely helpful and a great guy. Hotel is close to the metro with a free shuttle to take you there and bring you back (you have to call them to pick you up and bring you back) and free parking for my car. Breakfast was good, we never went away hungry.

Someone was smoking weed. We could smell it in the hallway. We brought it to the attention of the staff and they said they'd take care of it.

Clean, beds comfy, large in size, daily maid service, good hot breakfast daily as well as many other continental type choice each day a different hot meal, coffee, hot tea available 24/7, water with lemon all day at front desk. Towels were large not tiny , convenient to DC Mall, beautiful neighborhood

Elevators a little slow but they are working on installing new buttons maybe new elevators but sign saying with new buttons covered not ready for use

Great room, clean, comfortable beds, tv, small fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee single serve, Lipton tea bags, ample size bath towels, great breakfast many selections hot choices each morning eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, cereal, bakery items, juices, yogurt etc egg dishes change daily as well as meat not usual hotel breakfast. FREE PARKING unusual in DC area.

Repairing the elevators or replacing the old ones partially done old ones a little slow

We were genuinely blown away by the level of care put into every little detail. From the warm, welcoming staff to the spotless cleanliness and delicious food — everything exceeded our expectations. The refreshing lemon water at the entrance was such a thoughtful touch. We also really appreciated the clear directions and helpful info about where to go and what’s nearby. It all made us feel truly taken care of.
