Big Thank You to the whole Team and special thanks to Ethan! We stayed at the Salil Hotel Riverside for our first stop in Thailand. After our whole travel, we can say that especially at this Hotel the Check in was the smoothest as well as the service and Hotel room. When we checked out to go to our next destination we realised that we left a huge amount of money and the wallet of my boyfriend in the safe. We immediately contacted the hotel and also here: they helped us very quick and reassured us that they found the items and will keep them safe for us until we come pick it up when we are back in Bangkok. Especially the contact with Ethan was very nice! He even counted the money for us to reassure us how much we actually left. A big thank you to everyone again! This Team really made us feel safe and we could relax at our next destinations without a second thought. Of course the pick up was as easy as the whole communication! Thank you again very much! We are looking forward to visit this Hotel again! Big recommendation!

Absolutely everything! The decoration and design is gorgeous, staff is very attentive, breakfast buffet with a great variety of options, it has several restaurants and bars, and a spa, and offers a boat service free of charge to Icon Siam. I really wish I could've stayed longer in this hotel. It makes me want to go back to Bangkok just to stay there again.

Nothing at all.

It has a prime location alongside the river. The river shuttles are very nice, need to book your ride every time you need to use them. We loved the pool, the spa, the coffee shop, and the ice cream shop. The staff were extremely helpful and sweet. The room is spacious and very clean.

The breakfast buffet was our one and only regret. The food variety didnot really suit our taste. It has mostly Japanese and Asian dishes.

Lovely swimming pool and large comfortable rooms with quality fittings and toiletries. The breakfast was really impressive and the service overall very good. The hotel is a bit quirky but that lends to the overall charm.

Nothing really

Big comfortable room, very clean, nicely designed. Excellent breakfast from 6:30 till 11:00. A lot of local restaurants and massage shops next to the hotel. Boat shuttle , nice pool.

Asked for the flat pillow, but got a negative answer. I believe that this level hotel could make this small effort.

Location, ambience, comfort was excellent.

1) Hotel staff was not quite truthful when they checked us in into a city view room (Block C) when our premium room booking was for river view (Block A). 2) Hotel charged us THB 9600 extra to "upgrade" our deluxe room from city view to river view so that as family we can stay in adjoining rooms in Block A. Find it excessively expensive (@ RM 450/room nite!). 3) Breakfast spread for 3 days was 99% identical, no variety. 4) Hotel refused to issue us a receipt since our payment was thru booking.com. (never encountered this issue before.

Breakfast

Tried to charge me twice for the room I booked. I booked and paid in advance but a staff at the front desk tried to charge me again saying I didn't pay for the room. After I showed him my booking confirmation and the credit card receipt he admitted he was wrong about my booking.

This was the best hotel I’ve stayed at in such a long time! The facilities, staff and everything in between was above and beyond. The price was definitely worth it and I would 100% stay here again when I’m back in BKK.

What can I say... Quality definitely counts... We as a family have spent a wonderful 4 nights at The Salil. The hotel, amenities, food, staff & location are superb. The Rabbit Moon aqua therapy comes very welcome after a long day shopping.. The Thai people are the most friendly & kind people we have met. A special thank you to Selene & Mint, who helped us all dress in traditional Thai costume, & also assisted in the photography. We can't wait to come back, hopefully later in the year. Thank you once again to you all for making our stay most pleasurable.

There is nothing to dislike at this hotel....

Best breakfast buffet of our trip. Great amenities and the grounds were well laid out and maintained very well. Liked the free river boat (didn't actually need to book in low season). The bedroom and bathroom were clean and well maintained. Staff were very helpful with good English. View from the cigar rooftop bar was lovely. Ray cocktail bar and restaurant was classy. Nice to stay in a riverside resort where you can relax with plenty of options to do during an off-day from sightseeing around Bangkok.

Not having a choice over the booking time for the Rabbit Aquatherapy session (5pm only) - probably because there was only about 60% occupancy in low season so not much uptake. The price of food in the restaurants was similar to North America, and tiny gelato portions for the price (never been to a place where they weight the icecream!). Hardly any storage space in the bedroom or bathroom. The bed was a tad too hard for me personally.
