It is such a great place for a great price. It was always kept clean. Clean sheets, clean room. The hot water was available at all time and abundant. I really loved that it was close to the airport, accessible to the main road and within walking distance to crucial places like restaurants and other services, and yet also away from all the noise and bustle of towns. I am a woman who was travelling alone in a country where my language is not spoken a lot, so I felt a bit uncertain on my first evening, because I was not seeing any women at the place as I am used to in the hospitality industry of my country, there were only male staff. But soon enough, I felt safe, as the staff were really respectful, friendly and helpful. Most importantly, Haile the host is AMAZING! Haile is where hospitality is at! He communicates clearly, speaks perfect english and shared useful information throughout, and he was always just a call away if I experienced any challenge even outside of the guest house. There is a time, I didnt have enough ethiopian currency to pay, an uber rider, and I simply called Haile, and he sorted it out. I felt like I was home, and Haile and Staff were people I could count on if I needed anything! In the end, I was really glad that I made the choice to stay at Wib guesthouse, because I feel that I wouldnt have had such kind of support, if I was a guest at a bigger hotel. I hope that they continue to stay and provide the kind of services they provide!

Wifi was really low in the room.

The first time was because of the airport shuttle service, but the second time was purely in anticipation of seeing Haile and meeting the other travelers. When I arrived for my second stay it felt like coming home. ​This is a rare guesthouse—a place that has a lot of advantages. I strongly recommend this guesthouse.

A Safe, Spotless Haven in the Heart of the City I recently stayed at this guesthouse for several weeks and cannot recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease thanks to its safe environment and immaculate cleanliness. The guesthouse truly has everything you need for a comfortable stay – I never found myself lacking a single amenity. Fantastic stay and hospitality. Haile, the owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They received me after midnight and guided my taxi driver to find the location, helped with ATM/bank issues, provided me with detailed information about Addis and traveling around Ethiopia. Room is spacious, has a TV table that serves as a working desk. A hot shower. Morning coffee or tea. Don't let the location discourage you, this spot is very convenient, just a few minutes from the city train and close to one of the bus stations (Lamberet Menaharia). I enjoyed restaurants and cafes in the vicinity. Shola market which is right next to the apartments is great. Would definitely stay there again.

Really kind host who went out of his way to pick us up after midnight, he also arranged us an early morning service to the airport. The helpers were really nice. Wifi worked really well. Location is alright. While not in the top location , it’s 10 minutes to the tram and near some notable places so you can tell the taxi to drop you off there. The price for what you pay is really fair and reasonable.

Everything was fine. You don’t get a key to the main door, but that’s common in Ethiopia. One of the helpers has to do, so if you want to come back late it might be an issue, but it wasn’t for us as we didn’t stay out late.

We had a wonderful stay at Wib Guesthouse. The staff are excellent and really go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The facilities are basic but everything is very clean and there are some nice restaurants in the area.

Firstly, thanks to the kindhearted Haile, the owner who drove me to & from the airport & brought me to his well secured guesthouse in a quiet neighbourhood yet closed to the shops. There’s a courtyard wide where a marquee stands with table & chairs to chat with other guests & have free coffee/tea. You can hang a few of your washed clothes there. I stayed 8days in total in the same spacious clean bedroom furnished with tv, fridge, table, chair & wardrobe. WiFi is good with enough plug sockets. In case a power failure, a back up generator is at hand. The double bed is comfortable with clean sheets & a towel is provided. Oh yes, there’s an en suite bathroom. The staff are available to help though speaks little English but you can learn Amharic from them. Overall, very good value from money where you can enjoy the 3Cs. Highly recommended.

Nothing at all.

The manager speaks excellent English and is very helpful in recommendations and helping out with whatever you need. The room was spacious and had an ensuite bathroom. Wifi was very strong in the room. Hot water 24/7. The three young men working there was there 24/4, and was guarding the entrance. They were friendly and offered tea and coffee. The area is safe and close to the Shola market which all taxi drivers know. Free airport pick up which is a really nice service that I used four times. I recommend staying here!

The wifi was hidden and i couldn't connect it to my mobile however, the manager helped me buying a sim card for $10. The staff didn't speak much English which was a bit difficult at times, but they called the manager who helped out over the phone. The guest house is located outside of the city center, which takes about 20 min by taxi (Ride app) or 10 min by the tram (runs about every 20-30 minutes).
