Breakfast was excellent at the hotel restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food was prepared very well. I also like that they provided the opportunity to win breakfast which we did by playing the game. The front desk staff was very kind and personable. He was very helpful and ensured all of our questions were answered. Continue to have friendly and excellent front desk staff as the your man who assisted myself and my boys and you’ll continue to provide an excellent stay for people. He was great.

This is a super hotel. One of the top few I’ve stayed in. Somehow the staff hit just the right tone. They are pleasant and chatty but not too informal and not too formal or pretentious. I found the staff were also flexible and helpful. They made me feel welcome and comfortable which is really rare. I loved the room with comfy armchair and a moveable table I used for working. I liked the layout of the room and washroom. For two people it might have been a bit squishy but it was fine for one. Also, there is only one armchair, so a couple would have to fight over it. The location was perfect for me because I was doing research at the National Archives. But it’s also well located for walking to Sparks Street, Bank, Somerset or further afield to Hintonburg.

I didn’t like the Timothy’s coffee that was provided but bought my own at a grocery store. The garden outside needs watering every couple of days. The flowers were really dying and parched. Could be a super perennial garden. Also, I think the restaurant is owned by someone else but I had a BLT and didn’t think it was that great. I didn’t try anything else. I ordered from Greek on Wheels and from Mekong, both of which were good.

The location was great as we were in Ottawa for the Marathon and the hotel was about 1km (maybe a little more) from the start. On the day we arrived the room was available early and so we got in early which was a bonus, and they let us keep the car in parking for a while after checkout while we went for breakfast and did some sight seeing on the Monday before we left. The mini-fridge and microwave were convenient because we were able to bring our pre-race food, and there were several restaurant options within walking distance for post race.

We had a good stay at the Holiday Inn Ottawa Downtown Parliament Hill Hotel and we like that this location is more quiet and close to the historic area of Ottawa and is close to coffee shops, shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and the rooms are tidy and comfy. This hotel is within walking distance to local sites yet is in a less crowded area which we like.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. The Porch restaurant in the lobby had excellent food, drinks and service. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom was large enough to move around and get ready.

The view was not very good. (looking out on an alley and directly across from apartment building balconies; very close). The bathroom lighting is not very good for the women travelling.... Good thing there were mirrors in the room too. :)

The hotel offers a comfortable stay with exceptionally kind and responsive staff. Its prime location makes it easily recognizable, and guests can conveniently access public transportation and taxis with ease.

They may consider adding more utensils, such as plates and bowls, to the room for added convenience.

The staff here are incredibly thoughtful. They noticed how much our kids have grown and generously upgraded our room. They even created a membership account for me at no cost, so we could enjoy many discounts. I would absolutely stay here again if I get the chance.

The staff were absolutely amazing and have been such a pleasure to meet with. The helped me with my rooming situation since I booked an extra night stay to come up a day early and they helped me with that!. Ashima was such a big help and was the best part of the stay! Always smiling and easily answered my questions !

It's not even anything on the hotel but with the heat on the first two nights of my stay, a lack of pool was a problem but honestly a miniscule issue since my room had a good a/c cooling!

The room was very clean, looked very fresh. The blackout blinds were absolutely perfect! The staff was very friendly, check-in and checkout were smooth and I got a late check-out that offered me a couple of extra hours for a shower after running the half marathon on Sunday.

The restaurant closed at 9, I think it's reasonable to be open until 10

Location is excellent, giving access to main attraction points in Ottawa. Room is clean, well organized, quite cozy. Parking should be free though, but we got it for 15CAD, which was about what we'd find it anyways.

Parking should be part of the reservation.
