Unreasonable charge for parking as they have enough space. The pool is between the hotel and the mountain, therefore, early in the afternoon the area is 75% shadowed and chilly. Unless it is summertime, it can be frigid around the pool area before dawn. The said "heated pool" only means "not freezing cold". The water temperature wasn't inviting for a colder day or a night swim.

Sparkling, clean all hard flooring and no carpet. My cat and I felt very comfortable there. The surroundings are beautiful and even if you want to just stay in your hotel room, it still feels like a vacation

Getting all your luggage to and from the parking lot can be a bit tricky since Calabasas is mountainous and the hotel is built around hilly trails. Upon checking out I did park right outside the front door to load my car. They do not have any self service, laundry machines. They advice there was a nearby laundromat and I scoped it out, but it smelled like pee pee.!!! no way I was going to wash my clothes there and sit there for an hour waiting for everything. Would be nice if the hotel would offer and on site laundry machine for clientele who don’t want to send everything to dry cleaning!!!

Spacious room with very comfortable beds. Air-conditioning thermostat that actually worked, making for a comfortable temperature during our entire stay. Swift and easy check-in. Very friendly and helpful staff in all departments. Spacious shower, first class amenities. Only a few minutes walk to a number of restaurants and a great supermarket. During our 23-day trip through the western USA this was by far the best hotel we stayed at. Only 30 minutes drive to Universal Studios (if you avoid rush hour) and ca 25/35 min to Malibu/Santa Monica beach if you take the scenic route via Las Virgenes Road and Highway 1. We will be back. This hotel is a little gem. It was small and chic, and exactly what I was looking for. There was a small but lovely outside area, as well as a friendly bar and small restaurant with a very nice menu and a wonderful cocktail and wine list. It’s also very conveniently located just off the Ventura Freeway

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. I didn’t have a lot of curb appeal, but that’s not important to me at all.

Very new and clean in a good location allowing easy access to Malibu beaches and Universal Studios etc. but away from all of the hustle. Great parking and superb staff on the front desk.

The reception/bar area turned night club on Saturday night. But I’m not really complaining too much… people were having a great time as we returned to the hotel after a long day sightseeing, and the music stopped a few minutes after 9pm as advertised. Any later we may have felt different as our whole family needed sleep. Don’t let this put you off… it was two hours on a Saturday night.

Location and hotels overall atmosphere.

the parking fee is not right, there is no reason to charge extra for an open parking lot with self parking in this location. to make it worse they will not place the 16.00 overnight additional fee on your room charge which makes it easier to expense, they make you register your car through an app by 9:00 pm and the app charges a 2.00 extra fee, not right to say fee is 16 and be charged 18. I think they need to rethink this fee and how it is collected. I'll park across the street next time if there is one...

I loved everything and miss it already. So nice to meet people from different areas of world. There is nearby gas stations stocked with essentials you might’ve missed when packing goods for your trip. There’s McDonald and erewon up the road. 15 min away. Also Albertsons it’s like a Walmart. I needed socks and was able to buy them at a reasonable price.

There was two night someone random knocked on my door. It woke me from my sleep and I was a little traumatized.

Fresh, clean rooms with nice pool area. Perfect for overnight stay, near Malibu, before heading back to LAX.

Bar wasn’t opened when we arrived (3-4pm). Service a little slapdash overall. But we had a lovely server when we had dinner.

Clean modern comfortable hotel, the staff in the bar the lady & guy working there it, were great really helpful did there best to cater to my family’s needs they made our stay very welcoming. The staff at the check in desk now that was totally different story, the parking charges are ridiculous when you’re already paying good money already to stay in the first place. It makes a great hotel feel not so great, a few people checking in at the same time was upset with this extra charge.

This is a Fantastic Hotel! From the architecture to the mattresses, everything exceeded expectations. The beds are comfortable, you can cast any of your streaming services to the television, the grounds are WOW! It's quiet even though you're right around the corner from the 101. And the Keurig in the room makes it easy to wake up, the shower is lovely and modern to help get your day going. We never did figure out how to connect our music to the mirror in the bathroom, the option exists.

Charmin would be a nice addition, as the current brand of toilet tissue can chafe pampered touches. A microwave in each room would also be handy, but we never needed it to the effort of using the one in the lobby. There is not much that can be done for the slightly crowded parking late at night as you're next to a lovely hiking trail. Just the first night I had to clarify if I could in fact park in the lower portion of the lot, which we did a few nights and all was fine and the difference in distance was negligible. There is really nothing of substance that is a drawback to this hotel. We LOVED our stay & hope to return.
