I rated the hotel on the basis that they went through a CAT4 hurricane in August and a few weeks later a tornado. Was there signs of this natural disaster, yes, was the facility up to what has been rated in the past, no, how could it be. With that said, everything that we encountered was above what we expected. The staff is working hard to restore this facility and it shows. High water stains on the curtains,yes, windows fogged because of the storms, yes. Was there smells that would be associated with storms of this nature, absolutely not. Clean, and absolutely. No mold seen, or mildew smells. We would recommend this facility 100%. We will be back when the Plantation is back to 100% restoration done.

The location was perfect, it’s directly on the river, very close to almost every spring, and place we visited. We loved the pool, and hot tub, this place was wonderful for our family!

We heard a family complaining to the front desk staff, during our check in, and they were not happy. After the first two nights of our stay we were waiting for the maids to come in, and clean the room but they never came, my husband finally went to the front desk to ask, and they told him that all he needed to do was ask to have our room cleaned, which he did, and they came once after that, so we just cleaned our own room.

The room was clean and comfortable. I especially liked that there was a door that led outside to the creek where the boats were docked. We enjoyed the meals we ate at the on-site restaurants, and the Adventure Center right there on the premises made our excursion so easy to access. Since the place is quite old, it was a little run down and could use some updating. However, we enjoyed our stay and would go back in the future.

Grounds around the resort needed some attention related to cleanliness.

Perfect location for Manatee excursions. We used the adventure center on site to take two morning swims with the Manatees. Excellent to roll out of bed and walk straight to the boat for the trip. After the incredible experience of swimming with the Manatees for a couple hours, we could go straight to the hot tub to warm up from the cold water before headed back to the room to get ready for the rest of the day. Can't imagine a more convenient or comfortable set up to do something so incredible!

The adventure center, helpful and friendly staff, on site amenities, room view, cleanliness. The newly renovated room was great and this place will continue to get better as they are working on a few other wings currently.

This is our second time back to the plantation. The staff is always very friendly. The pool is very clean and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. When we asked for a water view we thought we would have a balcony but we did not. The next time we stay there we will ask for the first floor so that we can go out the sliding glass doors and have coffee in the morning

We were in the Rose building in room 267 and the door did not shut on its own. You had to pull it shut. One time we left and heard it close and didn't look back and when we got back to our room it was open so I very bad situation if anything would have been stolen out of our room but fortunately nothing was. But definitely that door needs to be fixed.

Good rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good service A plus +++ the dehumidifier in the room, Boat docking was good except the in and out in the ramp. We only had breakfast in the restaurant but it was good and a reasonable cost.

Stairs carpets were very dirty and doors to the hall way very hard to open. Bathtub in the room needed refinish, painting was falling off. The shower head in the bath tub should be a hand held type, it would help the older generation. Ramp for boat, with the boat club taking all the area close to the ramp is a nightmare, there is no place to park the boat while putting the trailer in or out.

We we're given exceptional service to help us enjoy our 16th anniversary! Aylin at the front desk went above & beyond with special arrangements for us! We are so greatful we chose to stay at the Plantation Resort for our stay in Crystal River!

The resort restaurant,pool & hot tub were out of service as a result of damage from Hurricane Idalia. Nonetheless, our stay was fantastic & more than memorable thanks to all the exceptional staff members!

View and walk out of back door to water view. Pool was close and restaurant had good food but a bit pricey. Pool food and beverage service was great with three kids. Highly recommend the Manatee tour with Laura!!! Kayak and Paddleboard rentals were easy and great with helpful staff like Janna

Hot water (if we had it was a loooionnnnmggggg) time to get. The grounds were dated and buildings old but rooms were well renovated and clean

Beautiful grounds, Tiki bar staff were awesome especially Anne Marie! Food amazing and check in easy

garbages overflowing in public areas, rollaway bed outside elevator for 3 days. our room was across from housekeeping door and door was tied open. Went down stairs by our room and exit blocked by plastic covering. No sign on door warning of this- dangerous! Lastly only microwave was 3 buildings away

Loved the location and all the activities. It’s an older resort but they’ve fixed it up well in my opinion. It’s a place with a lot of character! We loved the that the manatee swim we booked at the adventure center was literally right next door.

The dehumidifier and AC in our room was a little loud for my liking but my husband loved it so, oh well lol.
