The location was perfect and close to most of the things our family wanted to do in Duluth. The hotel was BEAUTIFUL. We loved the flowers all over the property and enjoyed the porches and back patio with a view of the lake. The kids loved the pool and had fun swimming several times during our stay. We got caught in a rainstorm one day and were happy to see the hotel had a laundry facility where we could dry our clothes (for a few quarters). We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and ate well before we ventured out each day.

There was nothing we didn't like.

I would like to tell you about Dan in the breakfast area. Every single time we come up he makes our stay so rememberable. Like this time I went up to him and said I know that you couldn't possibly remember me, but I want to say Hello to you from our two little kids. our last stay Dan was so helpful, sweet, kind to our children. He joked around with them and made them feel important and special! The kids even said make sure if you see that man say Hello from us. He was helpful with helping the children talking with them as we filled our plates. He was very knowledgeable about tips on Duluth. I just want he is an absolute top notch employee you have! we will definitely being booking our next trip with this hotel because of how your employee made us so welcome! Thank you again a million times over!

Not, necessary your fault but, part of the reason we stay here also is the closeness of the beach for the children. To walk around to get the lake glass and special rocks. The amount of homeless people that hang out at the picnic area was kind of Scary. Making comments to us while we walk by etc. Needless to say it made us feel uneasy. I (Travis wife that is writing this) was scared to use the bathrooms and walk around. unfortunately it's one of our favorite things to do. Maybe possibly you could report that they are making your customers uneasy. I know you can't force people not to hang out but, ask for money and make rude mean comments when you walk away is not necessary!

Hotel was great the location was everything. Lots of fun activities even in the winter. The staff was great. The hotel was very clean. My husband really enjoyed the lake view especially of the light house he has been wanting to see the light house on lake Superior for a very long time.

The breakfast options could have been better. I would've loved to see more protein options it was all pork everyday that we were there didn't see any turkey or chicken options that could be something to look into for the future not everyone eat pork. Just a thought. Would've been nice to have a omelette as well.

We love staying in the Canal Park area. It is an easy walk to DECC (Duluth Entertainment Convention Center), restaurants, and shops. Our grandchildren live in the area and usually spend a night or two, so we always stay at hotels with extra space and a pool. Plus, this one has two hot tubs in the pool area. The breakfast buffet was good. It had a nice array of food and a waffle 🧇 maker that I didn't spot until we were leaving. The dining area was spacious and bright. It faced the lake, which made for a beautiful view. We actually saw two freighships go through the canal. We ordered pizza 🍕 from Vitta Pizza and had it delivered and used the dining area. It kept the mess out of our room. The staff was friendly when we arrived, and our check-in was fast and smooth. They had a help yourself coffee and water in the lobby. I thought it was a nice touch, especially when you've been traveling. I would recommend staying at the Lift Bridge Lodge again.

Friendly staff. Great amenities. Beautiful front porch. Clean room, in fact, the entire property was clean. The lobby was very warm and iinviting. Breakfast had nice variety. We will definitely be recurring guests!

The only things less than perfect were the bed pillows and the breakfast staff. The food was good but the staff were not as friendly as the rest of the property staff. We smiled and said thank you but neither of the two ladies I saw acknowledged anyone in the breakfast room from what we saw. As for the bed pillows, they fell flat and uncomfortable, unlike the bed, which was very comfortable.

Hat of to the cleaning crew . I would like to thank the nice lady that is in charge house keeping . She is amazing !!!!!!!!!!!! Also hats of to the elderly lady at the Breakfast area . I spilled my waffle batter on the waffle maker and floor and I felt kinda embarrassed so I sat down ( I really wanted a waffle ) The Breakfast lady said she would make me one and not to worry about the mess . So with her saying that I felt better about myself and made a waffle. Both the lady in charge of cleaning and the breakfast lady are angels in my eyes . Please Please thank them both for me . Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and didn’t smell like your usual musty hotel room, view was amazing, beds were comfortable. Lobbies, pool area and breakfast bar were very clean and maintained. Breakfast meal was always great, hot and fresh and plenty of options. Location is perfect, very close to all shops on canal park and many restaurants. Well worth any price.

Didn’t like that we had to leave! This will definitely be the go-to hotel anytime I come back to Duluth.

We came up to Duluth on a whim and booked this hotel for the kiddos and the hubby. We upgraded to a balcony with Lakeview of Superior. The lighthouses were right outside our windows, it was beautiful. You get plenty of free parking and you are located right in the near Park of on the canal. It's a well maintained hotel and very clean, updated. They also provided large complementary shampoo/conditioner/shower gel for guests. The pool was small but was not really crowded. There are two hot tubs available in pool area with pool towels for use. Breakfast was the typical hot foods: eggs, bacon, pancake, and cereal variety. Beds were comfortable and linens were clean. We needed an extra flat sheet for the pull out bed but they gave us a whole set of bedding. We initially booked two nights but wanted to stay longer when it was time to leave. Until next time.....

There was one thing that really bothered me, which I can't really blame the hotel. Our neighbors returned from bar closing and were very loud and disruptive at 1:30 am. I could hear them laughing and talking, slamming doors for 45 minutes until the early morning. I wish the walls were thicker. That's my only complaint but it's not the hotel or management fault, but the neighbors who were disruptive.

The free Breakfasts were wonderful!!! Always Scrambled Eggs and Hard-Boiled Eggs,, Sausage Links, Patties or Canadian Bacon, Waffle Fries, Potatoes, or Tater Tots, Waffles or Pancakes, Yogurt, Juice Variety, Coffee, Tea, Pastries and Bread, etc... Walking distance to everything in Canal Park. Rooms were extremely clean and spacious!!!

The view of Lake Superior from the rooms is beautiful. It was a very clean establishment. It is right in the center of the bustle: lots of shops and restaurants to enjoy. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of great options as well!

The pool area being right near the front lobby with windows to the outside parking lot. The bed in the room was stiff and slightly uncomfortable.
