Breakfast was amazing with plenty of different delicious cakes, cheese, cold cuts, omelette and eggs, fruit and fruit salads, various breakfast cereals, jams, nuts, yogurts, croissant and bread. Tea, various coffees chocolate and juices. The room was very nice and the bed was really big and comfortable. Although the amenities in the bathroom were not the ones advertised (Nuxe products, one of the reasons I chose Alexandra) the ones they have, seem to be an excellent product as well. And they had one for every need such as wash, condition, bath and body lotion. They also have in the reception area a machine with still, cold and sparkling water to refill the bottle they give you any time of the day. Very cool!!!

We were extremely disappointed by two things: The reception area which is very tiny and very colorful and the absence of a small fridge inside the room which is a must especially for a four star hotel.

The room and facilities are wonderful, and the staff is wonderful and very accomodating. This hotel is wonderfully located, close to everything. It was my second visit and I would always stay there in the furture and reccomend it to friends and family.,

The room was very small, but ok. We were on a small terrace where others woke us up in on the forst morning. I wosh rhete had been face cloths and one extra towel per person. But the rom was very pretty and nice, good lighting and a nice bathroom.

This hotel truly stands out. The rooms are spotless, and the staff are kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. Breakfast was a real highlight—every day there was something new, including a variety of homemade sweet and savory cakes and pies, which gave a lovely personal touch. My room was unique and incredibly quiet, offering a peaceful environment for rest. The bathroom was well-equipped, with plenty of high-quality amenities.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location was great. While the room was a bit smaller than expected it was quite nice.

The only thing I would say is that the breakfast is not a godd value given what you can get just outside the door to the hotel. I would say it is about 30% over priced. Also, the quality of the items while pretty could be much better. That said, it was a good breakfast, but when we extended our stay we opted to not include it.

Lovely good sized rooms, with good facilities. It's right in the centre of the town and within easy walking distance of numerous very good restaurants. The staff were all friendly and helpful with the receptionist in particular going out of her way to make our stay work. Also breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is a touch tricky to reach because you have to drive into a pedestrianised area to get to the car park, I had to ignore the helpful lock who tried to stop me doing what the hotel had told me to do.

The location was excellent, very close to the main square and shopping streets. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had to check in quite late, but everything went smoothly without any issues. Our room had a lovely view overlooking the square, which we really enjoyed.

The only downside was that the duvets were a bit too thick for the summer season. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Would have been nice to have a hotel bar, must have overlooked that when booking. Breakfast area is a little small - when busy, makes it a little difficult to access the self-service buffet, and everyone a little on top of each other, but that might not be a big deal for everyone.

The Alexandra Hotel in Lyon exemplifies refined hospitality, with exceptionally friendly staff who, upon our arrival, seamlessly arranged dinner reservations and offered curated suggestions for local exploration. The room, a model of comfort and immaculate cleanliness, provided a serene retreat with tasteful furnishings. Every detail, from the pristine linens to the warm service, would come back in a heartbeat.

I booked the family room as 3 sisters. We had a bed and a room each. The suites were on the ground floor, off a little internal courtyard. Very spacious comparative to other options I researched. The location was perfect, nice and quiet. Staff lovely and helpful. Breakfast was €19 and options were decent and fresh.

Add a few more light options in rooms, since very little natural light. The bathroom was well lit. Get maybe one english speaking channel, even if just news.

The property was well located to walk 10 to 20 mins in several directions to see the highlights of Lyon. It was as pictured and fair value for money. They had water bottles you could re-fill in the lobby and tea/coffee in the room. Being able to get fresh air into the room was a bonus.

Though my husband and I felt safe walking at night to and from the hotel, there was a metro station out front and allot of homelessness on the street, including an altercation in the early hours of the morning on one night. If travelling as a solo female traveller, may not be comfortable.
