The staff were very accomodating, always helpful. The room was very comfortable, with a large window that overlooked the park, and allowed plenty of light and air into the room. Although the hotel was further away from the "center" than I realised, it is right next to the TCL transport systems, so it was easy to get to other parts of the city.

If you turn left out of the hotel, you are in an area where lots of the homeless have set up camp. Although not an issue, if you make the mistake of heading through there on your first day, it does make you wonder if you made a huge error in where you booked. Luckily, if you walk directly across to the park or turn right, everything is more pleasing on the eye.

Location was perfect - right next to train and tram stops, but close to everything you would want to see. Staff were very friendly. We played on a table football table in the bar area each day which was fun. We only booked a twin room, but we got a room with a double and two twins so we were very happy. There were plenty of plug sockets, including some right by our beds which was appreciated.

There were fruit flies at breakfast, so would have been good if they could find a way to cover the exposed food (appreciate that's tricky). Breakfast was basic, but fine - but things were not always easy to find (i.e. yogurt toppings were not near the yogurt; cutlery and plates were hidden around a corner). These are very minor things, so don't let that put you off - the place was great.

My room was immaculate, compact but clever, the staff was great, it was super convient being so near Perrache with its connections to Metro, Tram and train. I loved having a balcony on the 7th Floor, overlooking the Place Carnot, where every morning the swallows swoop and circle just overhead.

Although my room was immaculate the common areas were a little sloppy and the staff areas, which were sometimes left exposed, were filthy. As if the hotel is managed by Oscar Madison. This is less a critique than a tip for management. Not just the cleanliness but also the feng shui of the lobby. I think this may be why no one uses the bar or restaurant.

The location of the hotel was great; we were able to reach central spots quickly on foot. One of Lyon’s two main train stations is right next to the hotel. We had no concerns regarding safety. The room size wasn’t ideal, but it was sufficient in terms of value for money. Breakfast was adequate, although there should be information labels for meat products. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I expected the pillows to be a bit larger and more comfortable. The chairs in the breakfast area were not comfortable.

The location of the hotel is amazing, in a big square, close to lots of restaurants and cafes, 2 mins from metro and train, 5 mins walk from centre and 20 mins walk to Old Town. The breakfast is exceptional, lots of choice, fresh fruit, cereals, good coffee, etc. When you go into the hotel it is really funky and colourful. The staff was very nice and the gentleman who checked us in gave us a room upgrade, so we had a balcony and a fantastic view of Lyon. Thank you! The little dog, Alfie, who is always there, I think he may belong to the manager, was an added bonus and very cute.

The room is a little bland, as the downstairs of the hotel is so colourful with lots of funky furniture.

Comfortable and quiet room with everything we needed. This room we were given was clean. First room sadly wasn't clean but staff quickly amended the problem and gave us another room.

The first room we were given wasn't cleaned, and severe shortcuts had been taken. It wasn't an accident to not have had the sheets changed and have toilet paper and hair between the sheets. Hair all in the shower.. that cleaner needs to be fired!

We stayed 4 days in this hotel and all the 4 days were amazing. The room was perfect in terms of size and warm. The staff was very friendly and helped us a lot in the check-in, check-out and post check-out period. It is located very close to the Bus Stop and Main Bus station that we benefited a lot. In addition to this, the city center is only 10 mins walk away. I would definitely stay in the same place for my next visit.

Staff was great, Marilou was extremely helpful getting us an extra room upon arrival and she did a great job recommending places to visit and eat at around town.

Rooms feel humid so I had to leave the windows open all the time and there were at times a very faint humid smell in the bathroom.

The room was big and clean. We had their superior room on the 6th floor with the balcony. Bed was comfortable. Was good to be able to open the balcony doors to let the fresh air in.

The aircon didn’t work particularly well. But with the windows all was ok. It didn’t bother us, but it was a bit noisy over night on the weekend with the street noise… but then we did leave the windows open.

staff, location, quality for money, nice that there is free purified water in the lobby. also my friends were allowed to stay in the lobby to work (they were living in a different place, that's why such a friendliness from hotel staff was appreciated)

bath and WC — were quite outdated; size of room was okay for 2 people, yet I did not want to spend time in the hotel room
