It was so easy to check in and move around the place. The breakfast was simple- nothing that stood out but adequate. The blackout drapes were especially welcome after 3 flights to get there. The elevator was super quick up and down since I was on an upper floor.

I discovered some crumbs in my bed and the staff was apologetic and cleared it up the next day. There wasn’t a bath mat the first day but they put one there later. I paid an extra high price for this stay because of very low availability in Lyon due to a conference so I had higher expectations than normal. I will also say that I felt as though I were sleeping on a board. The bed was so hard!

We had two rooms for our party of 5. Triple room was sufficient, with large bathroom (including hair dryer). Breakfast was good, including gluten-free bread available upon request. Location very accessible from nearby train station.

Double room was very small, with sloped ceiling that was difficult to navigate. My husband (6'3") and I (5'3") both had to duck in order to get around the bed. Only one small dormer-style window in this room, so not much natural light. No hair dryer or even a tissue box in the small bathroom.

The building itself is very interesting and has a historic trace , well kept and, somehow, updated... The staff is really very kind, nice, helpful and the most important thing , they all know how to be empathetic and professional with a sincere smile and speak different European languages .

That the parking place is not in the same building

easy check in and out - nice breakfast facilities and very much liked the water .machine in the lobby area to fill up our water flasks. Relaxed environment.

There was a double sofa bed made up in our room which was not necessary and I asked for it to be unmade and packed away a few times but it didn't happen. It took up a lot of space. Not sure that the communications between front desk and housekeeping was working. Other than that all was very good.

Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Clean. Loved the staircase. Shower was good. Hot water in shower and good pressure. Close to transport interchange including bus and metro.

Not many food options nearby apart from Brasserie Georges which is next door. Found the tunnel at the interchange daunting for a solo female traveller. A bit far from the old town and the shopping area near the main train station but of course the transport interchange at Perrache is very convenient.

The room was clean and not too small. The bathroom was quite spacious and with a separate toilet. Hotel corridors not too narrow to move with suitcases. Breakfast had a lot of choice incl. scrambled eggs and raw eggs, sausage, ham, fruits, bread etc. Drinking water tap in the lobby was also a big plus. Friendly and polite personnel. Good location if one wants to visit the confluence point, to see Roman ruins or just take a walk in the old town.

Coffee in the breakfast could be better. It was sour and lacking any intensity, particularly if one takes espresso or ristretto.

The location is great to see around. There is a train station (Perrache) just a couple of meters away. You can access everywhere from the station. Also there is limitless water supply in the hotel. You can fill your bottles and explore the city. A very historic restaurant is literally right next to the hotel.

They need to change their pillows. They were very flat and uncomfortable.

Classic IBIS quality - basic rooms, but with everything you need, surprisingly quiet rooms (good sound-proofing!), helpful staff, spotless rooms, comfortable beds, well-connected to public transport, good location for the centre of Lyon and its sights...

...if you ignore the fact that it's very close to a train/metro/tram/bus station and multi-storey carpark and busy road which means you often have to go through an unsightly underpass to get anywhere of interest! But that's not the hotel's fault - and it's quiet in spite of this!

It’s close to the Metro and tram station which is convenient for us. The drinking water tap at the lobby is lovely and we able to fill our bottle easily. Staff is friendly and the check in/out was simple.

The door of our bedroom door (junior suite) could not be closed and it would be better if it’s fixed.
