The location is fantastic, a short walk to the Pantheon, Notre Dame and Louvre, metro is easy to reach other areas. There are plenty of eateries around the hotel too. The staff are polite and helpful, it was spotlessly clean. It is a city centre hotel so expect noise, however the windows were incredible, no street noise to speak of, yes you can feel and hear a little of the metro, but not much and would happily stay again.
The hotel itself is great, but felt a little cheated by the advertisement of the room. It states ‘supreme double’ with a picture of a beautiful sweapt room with a sofa and spacious bathroom, what we got was a box room with a small en suite which was pleasant, but standard at best, still a great base for the city, but not what was advertised, so my expectations were dissapointed. I did ask at reception if we were in the correct room, with a smirk was told everyone thinks they get that room but no, we were in the correct one, so maybe dont call standard doubles ‘supreme’ along side a picture of a much bigger room. That said, for the location, comfort of the bed and 24/7 staff, it was still good value.

I have been to Paris before, in the 60s, so a lot has changed since - nonetheless I liked everything. Even the teeny tiny lift (or elevator)! The hotel is genuinely old and of the period and elegantly decorated, so expect rooms which are not enormous - but no smaller than others of the same period. I had a tree-lined street view - of Paris, what more could I ask? The reception staff were lovely, helpful, thoughtful and humorous. The 5th Arrondissement is perfectly convenient. A short and delightful walk to the Seine and Notre Dame de Paris, to absorb the amazing progress being made on the restorations, walk the Boulevard Ste Germain and other notable roads. And dont miss “Shakespeare & Co” , still operating in an area of bookshops (who’d ‘a thought?). I could possibly have arranged to visit when the weather was less wet, but then I gave one of the hotel’s provided umbrellas an enthusiastic work-out.
There was nothing - and nobody - I didn’t like. Thanks everyone for making my stay so enjoyable.

Nice staff, good breakfast and location.
Before the trip we asked for brighter room (not with the view to the wall) and they promised to give us room with the street view. However, when we arrived, we had got room on the second floor with the view to the wall :) The second day they let us switch the room. So make sure that you’ll get what you’ve been promised and don’t be afraid to talk with staff.

Hotel Minerve is a beautiful traditional hotel. Our room was perfect and had a balcony facing the street. The evenings were very quiet, and we slept soundly in a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and shining. The staff were most friendly and helpful. There are lots of cafés and restaurants in the area. We walked to the Sorbonne and the Luxembourg gardens. Notre Dame was a short walk away. We took the batobus from Notre Dame and explored Paris on the Seine. There are nine stops at major attractions. The batobus operates on a hop on hop off basis. A great way to see the city! I can wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Minerve for a stay in Paris.

Excellent location: Minutes from Siene River, Notre Dame Cathedral, and various restaurants and coffee shops that are open until late night. Wonderful staff: Friendly and helpful. The manager personally gave me a walkthrough of a few available rooms to choose from based on my request as we were staying with two kids. The front desk staff helped with booking a private cab to CDG airport. I would highly recommend that if you need a transportation. Their price was comparable to Uber prices and you get big car or van with reputed drivers. Reception, lobby, rooms: Very nicely decorated and cozy reception with sofas, chair. It is well lit and very welcoming. The rooms were very neat and clean.
Small rooms but it is common in old Paris. We were 2 adults and 2 kids so we booked 2 rooms. They don’t have connecting rooms.

We had a truly wonderful stay! Everything was perfect — from the warm and professional welcome at the reception to the beautiful, comfortable room with a terrace that was kindly offered to us for our wedding anniversary. This thoughtful gesture made our stay even more special and memorable. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with any request. The whole hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with great attention to detail and genuine hospitality. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay that feels truly special.

The location was very good: Left Bank, near the Sorbonne, two blocks from the Seine, near Ile St Louis. Many restaurants nearby. An easy walk to St. Germaine area. Not far from two Metro stations. The breakfast was a pricey extra, but very generous, with a good variety of offerings. Our room had a small, but typical, Parisian balcony with two access windows. Street noise was not bad when the windows were closed. The staff was friendly and helpful, when needed. the reception area was pleasant. The room price was reasonable, for Paris in the season.
The In-room bathroom was exactly that -- and very odd, though very modern. It was sort of a glass cabinet, taking up one side of the bedroom. The walls were glass, painted for "privacy", of sorts. The glass door did not latch, and tended to swing open, and was supposed to swing in as a wall to the shower, but did not latch there, either, and so, of course, did cause puddles on the bathroom floor. Not satisfactory. The elevator worked well, but was very small -- comfortable for two well-acquainted people, without baggage. Not uncommon in older Paris hotels, but not ideal.

This hotel is quaint and charming, and the location in the Latin Quarter was perfect. We walked from the hotel to Notre Dame, Jardin de Luxembourg, the Pantheon, and much more. La Table des Ecoles, directly across the street, serves delicious meals, pastries and coffee, not to mention cocktails. Our superior double room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel staff was warm and so helpful with everything from calling taxis to restaurant recommendations to directions and more. We fell in love with the Latin Quarter and the Hotel Minerve and would definitely stay again.
There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom, but there was a full length mirror in the room so that worked for drying my hair etc. The room was smaller than the pictures online would indicate, but I think the bathroom had been recently enlarged and updated. I would trade the updated bathroom over additional room space anytime, but it's something to be aware of.

We had a great 4 nights in this hotel. The room was cleaned every day. The windows overlooked the street, where the main entrance to the hotel is located. We slept with the windows open. The sleep was wonderful. Some people write about noise from the street, but we didn’t hear anything like that. There is an electric kettle, tea, coffee and cocoa. There are several metro stations, shops, bakeries and cafes nearby. There is a market nearby, which is open on certain days in the morning. There were no problems with hot water, we used the bath. Complimentary wine available at an additional cost.
Minus: there are only two sockets in the room, one with a kettle, the other with a lamp. No sockets were found in the bathroom. Sockets near the bed are covered by the bed, which does not move (room 307) We booked a "superior double room with one bed" based on the photo - with a red canopy over the bed (probably the top floor), but they gave us a visually different one on the 3rd floor. The room category was identical (probably 😊)

A very nice hotel in the center of the city. 10 minutes to Notre Dame, several shops and restaurants in the area. Room was fairly quiet, staff was really nice and supportive. Hotel is old, but clean and well maintained and I loved the whole setup. Wifi is very good and stable
Room was very much on the small side (I could either open the wardrobe or use the chair, not both at the same time. Room was also very dark, i did not notice the sun was shining until i left the hotel. Only one small elevator, but i was on the second floor so i had no problems with walking up.
