Extremely comfortable and quiet, in a nice area with good access to metro and buses. Plenty of decent cafes and restaurants around. Staff were absolutely lovely and always helpful.

The rooms are small (same as everywhere in Paris) for me the quality of the room, including bathroom, made up for this compared to other hotels I have stayed in.

I almost want to gatekeep this hotel, but reviews are so important to me when I travel, so I had to share my experience. First, the staff will welcome you into the lovely lobby and hand you a coffee while checking you in. Coffee and water is free to grab all day and an honesty bar is set up in the late afternoon/evening. We only ate the breakfast here one morning because of all the options in the area but it was filled with great food and the breakfast area is pretty. Our room was meticulously clean and spacious for Paris. Our bed was made with luxurious bedding, we had robes and large towels. It was a treat to book the steam room each day at 5pm and relaxed with lavender and steam before heading out to dinner. Our room looked out onto the Arènes de Lutece an ancient Roman amphitheater. This is a boutique hotel with four star quality, its quiet and away from the busiest areas in the Latin Quarter. Sitting in the lobby, feels like your home. The Hotel Monge is a block away from the Metro and a great Parisian Pharmacie. We could hear the rumbling of the metro at times, but it did not bother us and we were on the third floor. It was easy to walk to great food and see the main attractions in Paris. I only want to stay here when I’m in the city again

As soon as we arrived we felt at home; such a warm welcome and the staff were always so accommodating and nothing was ever too much trouble. We were there to celebrate my husbands birthday and lots of little touches by the staff to mark this made it extra special (an upgrade for free, lovely toiletries as a gift in the room and the staff actually remembered and wished him well on the day), just so lovely. The facilities were excellent and we honestly could not find a single fault. We would recommend unwinding in the sauna at the end of the day and maybe even treating yourself to breakfast in bed - totally worth it. The hotel was also in close proximity to two metro stops and some amazing eateries. Go check out the pantheon and surrounding area - a short walk away. You won’t regret booking :)

A lovely hotel with great amenities and terrific staff. We were showered with attention and assistance for anything we needed. Some of the best customer service we've received at any hotel we've stayed at in Paris. We particularly liked being able to come back to the very cozy lounge after so many miles of walking and having a nice glass of wine and snacks at the honor bar. The beds are very comfortable, the towels are plush, and the shower mechanism was a dream!

It's Paris, we know, but the room was incredibly tiny, and the staff upgraded us to a larger room. I'm sure it was to accommodate our two rather large bags, but the upgrade was nonetheless appreciated.

Facilities wise this hotel exceeded all my expectations... everything in our room was neat, clean and comfortable. Bu above all else it was the staff that deserves our most sincere thankfulness... every single staff member we met on our stay was polite, proactive and respectful. In my profession I stay at hotels an average of 4 times per month... and I have been doing this for the past 33 years... I should be able to evaluate a hotel... Hotel Monge and it's staff members deserve nothing but my highest appraisal.

We had the best stay ever at Hotel Monge! This was our first time travelling to Paris from the UK and we were so pleased with the service we received at this hotel. The staff were so kind and helpful and welcomed us straight away when we arrived. The room was spotless and the view from the balcony was stunning. The housekeeping did a fantastic job providing us with fresh towels when needed. The location of the hotel is so convenient with two metro stations very close by and buses going to all the main tourist attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Paris! We would definitely use the spa facilities next time if we stayed longer!

Everything was brilliant.

The staff were fantastic. Very welcoming and happy to help with everything we asked. From recommending restaurants and places to go to making bookings for us and explaining how the metro works. The hotel felt quite intimate. Our room was very comfortable with a full size bath. There was everything we needed. The complimentary tea/coffee in the lounge / breakfast area was really appreciated. The honesty bar in the evening was a lovely idea. The hotel is beautifully decorated and is kept very clean.

The staff were amazing. I was to travel with my young daughter but I had to cancel at the last minute and she travelled alone. I was worried about her in Paris but I need not have been concerned as the staff at Cafe Monge looked after her beautifully. They were extremely kind and nurturing and assisted her to navigate and master the Metro. And they were very prompt, reassuring and helpful when I had questions. The staff really contributed to my daughter’s positive travel experience and I am very grateful. This will always be our hotel of choice in Paris! Also great location and beautiful room.

Beautiful small boutique hotel in the heart of Paris. Centrally located near main attractions such as Louvre and Notre Dame in a nice neighbourhood. What makes this property unique is the superb friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. A special shout out to Emily for her friendly and superb service and going out of her way making our stay comfortable. Free coffee/tea and snacks on offer 24/7. There is also a spa in the basement of the hotel. Rooms are small but comfortable. Nice bathroom and rain shower. They were able to offer an early check-in as requested. Overall good value for money in a central location.

Breakfast is average. Rooms are small but I guess normal for Paris.

Location was spot on, with just a short walk to the Metro and Nostro Dame! The neighbourhood was safe to walk around, day and night, with so many great restaurants within walking distance. The bed was the most comfortable bed that I have slept on and our room was beautiful and well appointed. The staff were all amazing - so friendly and recommended some lovely restaurants in the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Paris.
