Last week was our second time staying in the Hôtel Maxim Quartier Latin, and there are some great reasons why we always come back! The staff, especially Stéphane, is a kind warm person. We did a booking for (I believe) a standard double room, but we were given an upgrade!! :D Plus, there were some beautiful presents from the Hôtel and Stéphane in our room, such as some sweets in a beautiful Parisian box, and some lotions by L'Occitaine, which is my favourite French skin product. The bed is super comfy, the pillow is so cuddly. The bathroom is so nice with a complete skin and hair product. We have a hairdryer in the bathroom, and ultra clean. The view from our balcony is fantastic! Essential for me, there is a kettle in our room together with Tea and Coffee ;) Unfortunately, this time we didn't book for our breakfast. But, last year, we tried the breakfast at the hotel, it was a French flavoursome breakfast. Looking forward to coming back and staying in Hôtel Maxim Quartier Latin again :D

None :) Everything was exceptional!

The positivs: All the personal where very nice and helpful. All of them spoke good English. Very clean room, new towels each day and new bedlinen. Hotel location on quiet sidestreet, good for sleeping. Good aircondition quiet and efficient. Brekfast was quite ok with fresh fruits, scrambled eggs and raw eggs too cooke yourself. Yogurt and and different sandwich toppings meats and cheeses. Good coffe and croissants. Brekfast served until 11 wich was great. Subway station only 60-70 meters from hotel, subway line 7 which takes you to most attractions like Notre Dame and Louvre.

Negativs: Quite small room

The staff were all very friendly. The area was conveniently located right by a metro and also a bus stop. You can walk to some if you wish. We were in middle of heat wave so coming from no air conditioning to air conditioning was awesome. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. There were coffee and sweet treats and water in lobby which was nice. The staff gave good recommendations about restaurants, routes on map, etc. They stored luggage as well. Also i know those are probably break and bake cookies but whatever they were tasted awesome. I also enjoyed the L'occitane products as i use them at home and they are a nice splurge.

The room and bathroom was the tiniest known to man kind. It was fine but took a bit of doing stashing suitcases. I also dont come to Paris to be in hotel room. The room darkening could have been better. My nephew had to lay down for headache and no way to stay without disturbing but it was still nice to go to lobby area and relax with book, coffee, and cookie.

I loved how clean the room was. Very comfortable, toilette was great with a lovely shower. Daily cleaning of room was exceptional, with new fresh fluffy towels. Body shower and hand soap from Loccitane smelling delicious. Bed was very comfortable and pillows also, just as I like them. Excellent view of the city. Staff always friendly and available. Great breakfasts with a huge variety of food. Coffee very tasty. We’ll come back again for sure.

Kettle in the room was small and there was a very limited amount of coffee.Some lights in the room did not work right but we were ok with it because everything else was exceeding expectations.

Very quiet and clean room. The size of the room was reasonably large for Paris and could easily adjust two people without a very large suitcase. The air conditioning could easily be adjusted or turned off if necessary. The shower space was very comfortable and the shower was probably very recently updated. Very professional and efficient staff at reception. Coffee and cookies available at reception. The hotel is just round the corner from a metro and bus station. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the Ile de la Cité area. There is a nice restaurant / pizzeria just by the Hotel if you're too tired to go back into the city centre after a day's visit.

The staff was EXCELLENT! They might have been the friendliest and most helpful hotel staff I have ever dealt with. Whatever you asked, the response was "How can I help?" Several nice places to eat within walking distance. Had a fabulous galette at the place just across the street.

The room had the smallest bathroom we've ever had to use. You had to mount the throne sideways and while sitting there if you leaned forward slightly your head would hit the wall. Larger people, like the former US president currently on trial (presumed innocent, of course), would not be able to no even wash his dirty hands in this room. That said, the bathroom was fully functional and PLENTY of hot water.

The location was perfect with metro line 7 at the end of the street and other lines just up the road. The staff were friendly and helpful and really nice (there 24hours). Free coffee and cakes in reception. The room was small (as described) but well appointed and comfortable - had storage racks for clothes and suitcase and opening windows with cute views. There was aircon and a lift. Breakfast included hot and cold options and good coffee. Close to beautiful gardens and cafes and pubs. Would stay there again. Lovely and quiet.

I read reviews about the size of the shower so was expecting small and they were not wrong! It’s tiny. Like a camper van shower - manageable but really tight! We had two rooms and one had a small but manageable shower (room 302) but the other room (305) had the tiny shower. Water took a while to heat up but once it arrived was plentiful so be patient. Reviews also noted the small breakfast area- it got very busy and was small but there are seats on the ground floor so there’s an option to eat there. Food was good and plentiful!

We had a lovely stay at Hôtel Maxim - the room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, though the room itself was a bit on the small side. The staffs were friendly and helpful - they took the time to offer great recommendations for nearby restaurants and bakeries. The location of the hotel is fantastic—situated on a nice, quiet street, yet just a short walk to the metro. This made it incredibly easy to get to all the major sights and attractions. Overall, we had a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort, helpful service, and great location at a reasonable price for Paris.

The bathroom was very small, but it was modern, functional and clean.

The hotel was amazing and the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and caring. My son and I felt at home and safe for the 5 nights we stayed there. The staff went out of their way to help us and I would highly recommend this hotel to all my family, friends and colleagues. The breakfast was lovely with a great selection of fresh food. Something for all tastes and the bonus of cakes in the foyer everyday was a lovely touch. The hotel was spotlessly clean and I slept better there than in my own bed. Extremely comfortable and exceptionally clean. The area is very safe and the location exceeded my expectations. The metro was a couple of minutes walk that took us to all the tourist attractions. The area is surrounded with lovely, affordable restaurants and bars. We will definitely return to the hotel when we are next in Paris as I would not stay anywhere else. The staff made our stay memorable as I have never had such a positive, professional and caring customer service.

Very good location in a quiet quarter, yet with the metro station and rue Mouffetard with its cosy cafes within several minutes walk. The hotel is very clean and the staff very helpful and communicates in English. Alexia is a real gem, very professional and genuinely kind & caring (last but not least very cheerful and with the great sense of humour!) We were in emergency situation because of the overbooked flight home, so we had to come back and stay for two more nights and this happened during the opening of the Olympic games. Alexia took the initiative and talked to the manager and the hotel provided us with both a room for a lower price (not the "Olympic price" set for this period, but the ordinary one) and free breakfast (which is really good too). We had a wonderful stay and even those unplanned days were nice and calm experiencing care and genuine concern of Alexia and the others.

Would be nice with more space in the room, but it was well-organized with the convenient shelves and generous lighting, so you didn't get that anxious feeling.
