The hotel is located in a nice area away from the congested tourist area, but about a 7 min walk from the latin quarter which has some shops, restaurants, small convenience store, coffee shops, laundromat etc... it's located near a metro station. The hotel is small, a bit dated, but the receiptionist mentioned over the years they're going to renovate. It didn't bother me, the rooms were nice, small yes but I was out most of the time. Beds comfortable, pillow, air conditioner works great, a elevator (lift) also but small, and shower were good. All receiptionist were friendly and was always greeted with a bonjour. I would stay here again. The area was peaceful and quiet.

Not much to say it was a good experience. But of course everyone is different and has their opinions of what they like and don't like.

Location was excellent. The hotel was easy to access by train, bus, and taxi when needed. The bed were excellent and very comfortable. The manager and staff were excellent and helpful. The bathroom was very clean and a good size for our needs. This is not a small bouitque and simple hotel, but when we came back our rooms after a long day of touring our room clean and our beds were so so so comfortable. We had a balcony which was really a nice addition and the street below was quiet at night. Did not hear others in rooms next to us which was great too. The room was also a good size for three of us.

The lighting in the room could have been a little brighter and there were no dresser or even open cubbies so we had to live out of our suitcases. There was a small closet for our coats which was fine. But we made do and having really comfortable beds at night was more important.

We liked the location which had easy access to cafes, restaurants, and public transportation. The room decor was good, and AC worked very well until the last night of a 6 night stay. The breakfast was good especially considering the price of the hotel. We got a very quiet room facing the back, even though the hotel was on a busy street.

The bathroom could be better maintained. Wifi wasn't available during our stay. AC stopped working but only for the last night.

The staff was amazing, so polite, and supportive of every single request I had during my stay. I enjoyed the location, Close to Meto stations and just a nice walk away from Luxemburg Garden and Pantheon. On the way, there are a bunch of cute Patiseges to enjoy your breakfast.

The room was a bit small. I was traveling for a month in Europe, so I had more stuff to accommodate in this tiny room. Also, I wish there were slippers because the floor close to the entrance wasn't perfect and it was quite cold to walk around barefoot.

The location is excellent, close to Metro and a choice street with many shops and eateries! The hotel is small but clean, and quiet. There are many different services nearby... The helpful staff at the desk were informative. Breakfast was plentiful and available for a fairly long period of time.

The taxi had a hard time finding the hotel as the entry is squeezed between 2 restaurants with huge signs advertising their rooms. A bigger sign would be helpful!

The location was perfect.

Hôtel needs a huge makeover, the lights in our bathroom were non existent which was awful. Wallpaper peeling off the walls and in general the rooms were dusty and staff were not responsive for small things like tv remote batteries that were dead There was also no shampoo and shower gel as pictured on hotel’s website. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

The staff on the front desk (round glasses and worker jacketed gentleman) was very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Recommending restaurants, attractions and travel arrangements. They even let us check in early. Breakfast staff also very helpful and polite. The room was well sized and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was continental and well stocked throughout our stay. The location of this hotel was amazing and perfectly placed on the metro line from gobelins or place de italie.

Minor details such as no towels in room on arrival. This did not impact our stay however.

Jean Yves has been the most gracious host during our stay at the Garance Hotel; us Italians we don’t usually find warm welcomes from French people, but Jean Yves is the exception! He likes Italian (he studied it and likes to speak it) and Italians, he is most welcoming, patient, attentive to the guest’s needs, he makes your stay pleasant and easygoing. The rooms are very spacious, furnished with all amenities, we had a triple, the bathroom had a bathtub and was also very comfortable. We had the most exquisite view on Avenue des Gobelins from our 4th floor room. A shout out to Edrice who was our night porter and is most friendly and kind. Over all I strongly recommend staying at the Garance Hotel as it is also strategically positioned and is served by both Metro and buses which take you directly downtown.

The buffet at breakfast was a little poor.

I stayed there in October 2023 with 2 of my friends. The staff was very friendly, particular Jean-Yves (reception), Idris (reception) and Solange (houskeeping). Jean-Yves was particularly very helpful in giving us directions, and tips on nice restaurants in the area. Even while hailing a taxi, he ensured that we got into the right Uber and knew where we were going. He made the hotel a home away from home, which added to the enjoyment of our overall trip. The location is also excellent, only a 2 minutes walk to/from the metro Gobelins with easy access to all the tourist destinations. There are also nice restaurants and bakeries in the area. We found the area safe and walkable.

This was hotel was great … made our vacation flawless… the room was spacious, clean and very quiet room and quiet area .. good continental breakfast…we had a balcony,it was awesome just being able to people watch while we had our coffee…lots of restaurants and shops around..only a short ride to all the tourist sites. All the staff was outstanding …we will be back soon
