Safety and cleanliness. There was only one friendly receptionist called Zainab, who allowed us to change our room smoothly and choose another room upon checking in as the original room had an uncomfortable design with the toilet completely separated form the bathroom.

The hotel style is old-fashioned. The room doors have keys and you have to leave the room key at the reception before leaving, which was not something comfortable. You can have the option to take it with you and guarantee that it won’t get lost, otherwise you’re gonna be charged if the key is lost. Another thing is that you have to leave you credit card details at the reception or leave cash (300 euros) as insurance fees which was something not mentioned on Booking. Some rooms have uncomfortable designs with the toilet found in a room completely separated from the bathroom and that also was not clear on Booking

Very good location and close to a metro station.

We had two rooms one for me and my wife and the other one for our two children. When we searched and booked these rooms we chose Relais Monceau due to the fact that you advertise the hotel and rooms with aircons. And I presume we paid for the benefit as well. One of the rooms did not had aircon for the whole period that we stayed there. We complained at the front desk as well as with bookings.com (no reply from bookings.com) but it did not got fixed. For the rest everything at the hotel were up to standard. I would like to know what bookings.com are going to do about this matter or just a shoulder shrug? Regards F du Toit

We stayed 7 days in Paris and felt this accommodation was a good choice in spite of the high price we paid. The rooms we stayed in were quite big for european standards and were always very clean and tidy. The hotel is located near 3 subway stations and bus stops, which made it easy to go around the city. It is also fairly close to some of the main tourist attractions in the city, as well as good restaurants and markets.

After a booked our room we read many reviews online complaining about the air conditioning, so we contacted the hotel beforehand to confirm that the ac was functioning properly in our room. The staff replied confirming that not all rooms have ac, but the one we booked did. It is important to mention the ac was relevant to us since we were going to Paris in the height of summer. However, 4 days into our stay the ac started to leak. We tried to warn the staff, but she dismissed us. The ac broke the very next day. After that, another staff member was kind enough to help and let us choose another room However, I wonder what might have happened if the hotel was fully booked. We probably would have been given an excuse and being forced to stay in the room with faulty air conditioning.

Friendly staff Location was excellent, a few mins from excellent cafes and restaurants, walkable to sites Comfy beds and very clean room Quirky vibe 😊

Bathroom door sticking and making lots of noise when opening and closing. Not a big deal but might annoy some people. Narrow corridors with old fashioned lamps give The Shining vibes 😂 but just adds to the character IMO. All in all I would not hesitate to stay here again ❤️

We liked the area, plenty of places to eat. The hotel was clean, staff were polite. The breakfast was good most mornings.

The lighting in the room was poor. We asked about the air conditioning as the room was stuffy at night, we were told it wasn't hot enough yet for them to turn it on. The response was open the window!!! I'm not sleeping with an open window in Paris.

I loved it’s colorful patio and lobby. Like old times you get a real key which you give and take back from reception 24/7 service. The stuff was super nice. Good English( i talk French but my daughter doesn’t). The location is great nice restaurants around and Metro and buses. From Our window we saw the street with this nice bolongerie. I’m sure I’ll be back .🌺❤️ to this clean and cute hotel

AC didn’t work for about 24 hrs. Now I understand it’s not the first time. At the beginning it was in all the hotel so they gave us ventilator. Later the problem was only in our room so they suggested that we move to another room. As we liked our room very much - we didn’t. But later it was fixed The cleaning stuff took by mistake my pajamas.. the stuff tried all week to find it with the laundry but they didn’t. They apologized all the time and finally i got 50€ to buy at Etam a new one😍 We couldn’t open the window I don’t know why. We tried several times. But I suppose we just had to ask the stuff and we didn’t.

Cozy tiny room with everything needed, perfect room service each day, surprisingly good L’Occitane toiletries. Very nice buffet breakfast available in hotel, the dining room is looking like a greenhouse, it was especially pleasant to have breakfast there. I like that mood of old fashioned hotel atmosphere here.

Maybe view was not the best, my window was facing the wall, but it was not a big problem, also Wi-Fi could be better.

Location in a very nice neighborhood & close to the metro station. The room was spacious & clean. We have arrived early & they gave us the room @9:30AM instead of 4 pm & they were very nice

The WiFi is so bad. The room is old yet renewed The walls are thin so in the morning you can hear noise from other rooms toilets but no noise from the street as it’s a quiet district.

This was a charming hotel, in a terrific area , close to the metro and lots of restaurants , cafes bars bakeries etc. we were given a room at the back at first, which was quiet , but no view. We were moved to one at the front overlooking the street , we loved it! Big opening windows , very light. Felt very French to us. The staff were all very happy and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 days staying here

Unfortunately the airconditioning in our room didn’t work , and we had very hot days and nights. The staff gave us 2 fans which helped somewhat .

The property was great so antique and classic, I like it a lot. The location is so good close many metro station like Villiers and the main station like Saint Lazare. There are many restaurants surrounded too.

The room a bid small but I think it’s typical size here in Paris.
