This is my second time staying here. First time was pretty good so I decided to repeat. Why? The location is amazing - a walking distance from Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi, several metro lines within 5-7 minutes on foot. It gets a bit rowdy at the evenings but hey, you can't really expect such location to be really tranquil. The usual "package" of Dormy Inn is what we usually value this hotel chain for - great public bath area, ice-pops at the night as well as yonaki soba. Actually compared to the previous time I visited it, they "fixed" the issue I had with this particular hotel - they didn't have luggage forwarding services in the past, but now they have it! Really great that they took the feedback (obviously not only mine) and improved.

A fan in the public bath area (can only speak about male outside bath) is REALLY loud. You want to chill a bit after a nice hot bath in the "fresh air" area, but welcomed with a helicopter-like loud fan. Maybe it needs to be replaced or maintenanced. "Peace-peace-peace" jingle of the neighbor establishment will become your ear-worm for several weeks for sure. But it's not really a downside of the hotel.

Paid breakfast offered an assortment of food we weren't able to try during our short trip to Osaka, and honestly was the best option at 8am when many restaurants are not yet open. The free ice cream, free late night ramen, and free probiotic drink were huge pluses that were unexpected and honestly made the entire trip stay worth rebooking in the future. The massage chairs were amazing, the onsen wasn't too crowded and I didn't feel self conscious at all even though I come from a heavily body-conscious society. The staff were suuuper friendly and willing to engage in conversation, which was difficult to find elsewhere due to either language barriers, volume of customers, or cultural norms. Also they have free washing machines with (preloaded detergent!!) and the dryers were 100yen / 20 minutes, which definitely beat out the other Japanese hotel washing / drying machine rates we had in other parts of Japan. Also the hotel staff let me use their reception phone for over an hour when my international flight got cancelled, which was so generous of them. They also hold your luggage even after check out if you have a later flight and want to do more daytime activities without your suitcase.

Great location - close to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. Metro stations are 5-10 minutes walk. The hotel has an amazing public bath - very much in line with Dormy Inn usual "package": hot tub, cold tub, sauna and the "outside" tub. Helpful staff. Nicely-sized rooms with comfortable beds. We could store all our luggage in the hallway and not dance around it in the room itself like on most of the other hotels - great :)

The hotel doesn't have luggage forwarding services (takuhaibin). Which is rather odd compared to many other Dormy Inns I was in before. Instead they forwarded me to the adjacent Lawson, which could have been good, however they have lost their measuring tape, so I had to go to the nearest post-office to send my luggage. I understand that having Lawson, which is SUPPOSED to do the luggage forwarding is convenient, but I'd prefer the hotel doing the usual "hotel services". Dehumidifying fan in the shower was very weak.

This is our second Dormy Inn, and much like the first one we stayed at, we were very happy with everything. Since this is one of their "Premium" locations, the room was much bigger compared to our previous one- we could open 2 full-size luggage at a time - although of course it's still very compact by any other standard. Regardless, it was a cozy room with all hotel essentials, including the Dormy Inn pajamas that we love so much (saves you space from having to bring sleeping clothes). The facilities were as expected of a Dormy Inn - there are free washers and dryers that cost 100 yen for 20 minutes, there is a public bath which is pretty nice and well-maintained, free ramen and ice cream nightly, and free probiotic drinks daily. The location was pretty convenient, 5 minutes away from a subway station, 10 minutes away from another one in the opposite direction. It's a short-ish walk (maybe 10-15 minutes) from Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, etc. Because the location was so great, we hardly took public transit during our whole stay. We just walked everywhere. There is a Lawson right downstairs. There is a supermarket nearby. There is a taxi stand right across. It's really wonderful and we would not hesitate to stay again!

I'm just deducting 1 point because the "relaxation room" is tiny and could only fit 3 people at a time. The massage chairs were also out of service the whole time we were there, which was a bit disappointing as we had enjoyed these same amenities at our last Dormy Inn and were looking forward to them for this stay.

We loved how clean it was. Their pajamas were very comfortable. It was also close to the main district.

The onsen does not allow people with tattoos. I hope that there would be a designated time that people with tattoos could use it.

The hot spring and sauna facilities were really nice, the free drinks, ice cream, and ramen at night were enjoyable as well. The room is spacious and clean and can open all my luggages. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The free washing machines and clothes dryers at laundry is really a plus. They serve pretty delicious breakfast as well. Location is convenient, just 10mins walk away from Namba, Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. A Lawson convenient store is just next to the hotel. So almost every thing you hope for a hotel is there, one can't hardly find any other hotel in the district which can beat this.

The bed was a bit too tough for me, and the pillow was a bit too flat. The massage chairs were out of service the whole time while I was there, which was quite disappointing.

The location is excellent with so many lovely restaurants nearby. The onsen is also superb and is worth doing every night!

The room was very very small - smaller than we expected based on the room description. We stayed at other Dormy Inns with bigger rooms so just didn't realise the Osaka one was much smaller.

The location in Dotonbori. The onsen! The evening (chef prepared) ramen! The little extras: A.M. probiotic drinks, P.M. frozen treats, massage chairs, laundry. The onsen!! Fast elevators. Helpful staff. Oh, and the onsen!!!

Dormy exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay.

All good. Breakfast spread hope there is juice or ice tea even at night with the ramen ( i only saw coffee)

The hot spring and sauna were amazing! I also loved the little treats like probiotics and ice cream after the onsen. The massage chair was incredible too.

Expensive breakfast so we didn't take it :( The location was good, but if you want to be in a calm place than you should go outside the city
