Awesome location close to 2 subway stations (easy access from Narita airport!!). Super close to many restaurants and cafes, as well as Yoyogi park. Cafe / common area is so nice and the food and drinks are delicious - it's great that you can enjoy your own food/drinks there as a hostel guest too. While the space is a little tight in the dorms, the luggage lockers under each bunk are huge, so most luggage can be kept out of the way conveniently.

The bathroom area is in the dorm with no separating door, so it can be noisy especially if you are in a bunk close to the bathroom. (However there are 'quiet hours' during the night when using hairdryers is not allowed which helps to minimise disturbance).

The female dorm was huge but quiet and comfortable. The toilets and shower rooms were always clean and the lockers are big enough to fit a hard suitcase and a 30L backpack comfortably. The location is awesome with many small quaint eateries around. And there are 3 subway stations nearby which makes traveling easy

The pillow and bed aren’t the most comfortable but it was alright. The price is quite steep for a hostel especially in a room that can possible house 27 girls with only 2 shower rooms. But it wasn’t fully booked when I was there so it was mostly fine.

Great experience staying at this little hostel. Checkin was very smooth and staff were accommodating. Enjoyed the cafe below the hostel - it was a great place for meeting people and food and coffee was also pretty good. The rooms themselves were quite small but perfect as a place to come back to and crash after a long day exploring Tokyo. The location was pretty good - situated in a quieter area with lots of options for nice restaurants and also within walking distance to two metro lines.

The beds themselves could have been more comfortable. The mattress was a little hard and the pillow provided was very beady and not the most comfortable to use.

+ great location in Shibuya, not too far from the sights but still quiet neighborhood + located close to two train stations + super cute Café that has vegetarian options (big plus in Japan) and is open late; a lot of locals drink their coffee there as well + very clean

- unfortunately my mattress was quite worn out, so sleep was not very comfortable. My friends mattress was in way better condition. The staff probably would have exchanged mine as they were super friendly, but I realized too late - they keep the light on in the room during night; the curtains keep some of the light out but it still had a negative effect on our sleep; I would suggest a dimmed light or just keep on the light in the front and the bathroom during night

I liked how it was a clean and very respectful place, very good facilities, not to mention staff were super kind to take my luggage upstairs and also it's right by Yoyogi park and the cafe! I liked how its further away from the city centre, so offers some peace and quiet and you live more like a local but very walkable to Shibuya or how its next to the station so we can travel via metro. In the mornings I liked doing walks and runs through Yoyogi park, so I would say it's excellent to stay for the cherry blossom season.

It was on the slightly pricer side for a hostel.

Great location. Great hostel. We went because we wanted a place within walking distance of some of the late venues in Shibuya. Walk was about 20-25mins for us pretty leisurely. Super nice staff and great food available in the main downstairs cafe area (though it seems very popular so go for breakfast early if you can!) Plenty of sinks in the mixed gender dorm space and two showers as well. Never felt like I had to wait long if at all for any needed amenities.

Overall very comfortable, the most minor note being- it's possible to get a bit stuffy in some of the bunk pods. My partner was too warm even though we stayed in winter!

It was in such a perfect location! Close enough to shibuya to be easily accessible, but far enough away to be removed from some of the chaos. There is a train station and metro less than 5 minutes walk away. I was staying in the female only floor, and it was clean and everyone had a good amount of space. Easy to lock away your bags as well. There are quiet hours that everyone respected. The staff were so welcoming and lovely and made my first Christmas Eve away from my family so much easier. The cafe downstairs is great and they have everything you need (including facilities to heat up your own food). There’s amenities to rent and phone adapters to borrow.

The cleanliness, the cozy capsules and the amazing food at the cafe downstairs. These three are certainly a given. With 40 capsules and 4 toilets and two bathrooms, it was amazingly clean! And the food is prepared fresh and delicious. A great working space. The service is also commendable, after some convincing, they let us keep our luggage an extra day for a small fee. The girls were really helpful when we had to transfer hotel, they translated for us. Sorry for all the inconvenience and thank you for helping us!

The pricing was perhaps slightly high. Andthe cleaning, I shouldn't complain about it, but it's too rigorous I guess. I mean everyday from 10/11am-2pm they do cleaning and it MAY seem annoying. But that's when most people are out/travelling, so maybe plan better and book a hotel for some quiet :) (a lesson for me)

I was in the mixed gender room and the atmosphere was a lot calmer and more pleasent than expected. No issues with shower time or sleeping. It was cozy and warm enough, and we could open the windows easily to get fresh air. The bed capsules were spacious and equipped with warm dim lighting. Location was perfect and the almond café/lounge was the perfect place to study and hang out. Since other customers are welcome too, it can happen that it's full and you have to wait for a seat, but the curry and the coffee were delicious. The staff was really friendly and helpful!

Even though the almond hostel has a great storage system, it gets crammed easily if you open a larger suitcase. So maybe get a hostel with private rooms if you have tons of luggage. Also, if you have a padlock, bring it! As well as slippers. It was clean in general, but the staff might want to check the showers - there were a few dark spots on the ceiling and the walls that looked a bit moldy.

Cheap, comfortable bed pods with reasonable privacy. Short walk to Shibuya and Harajuku, as well as Yoyogi Park and the Meiji-Jingu Shrine. Good coffee and breakfast options, though the breakfasts are a little on the sweet side if you want variety.

There isn't much in the way of on-site spaces for a private work period or phone call if you need one, so you may have to go off-site to find an internet cafe or similar if you need privacy. Otherwise, it's a great, affordable stay.
