The building is beautiful! The lobby is very nice. I liked the personal service from the desk clerk to the bell hop, who escorted our bags up to the room. Both were very efficient. The room on the 12 floor was satisfactory and pleasant.

The front desk should ask the guest if the guest would like ice on a floor that is not their floor. My husband went down to the 11th floor, but the key did not fit. He went to the desk and had it programmed (should had been done form the beginning) goes to the 11th floor: empty. Rides down to the lobby floor, and the bell hop takes Keith to another floor and there is no ice. They return to the bottom of the floor, and the GSR proceeds into the kitchen to fill the ice container with ice. This process took almost 45 minutes. It could had been avoided if the desk clerk had programmed the ice floe into our keys.

The location is exceptional. The lobby is quite a sight! The room was quite well decorated, with new appliances and over-average amount of welcome (free) snacks. The breakfast options are fair but most importantly the food quality and taste are excellent. The hallways outside the rooms are always kept tidy. The crown of this hotel definitely has to be their rooftop bar with a 360-degree view of Guadalajara. No stay can be complete without having a drink up there ;)

The check-in process was not very smooth. The access cards were faulty at times. Some constructions nearby the entrance but it is just temporary. You can only connect two devices at a time with the same user.

The breakfast buffet is exceptional and fresh everyday. I was very impressed with all the fresh fruit, different food options. Staff were very friendly. Absolutely no complaints on the breakfast buffet. The room service was prompt and fast. Food quality was also good. Order the chicken caesar salad, it was delicious. The room itself is spacious and clean. Excellent Shower with the rainfall head as well as a hand held. The bed is comfortable and they provide lots of pillows which was nice.

I contacted the hotel and asked for a higher room and away from the elevator. Unfortunately after first receiving a message on booking saying yes no problem, it was ignored. My room was immediately beside the elevators and the room was on the 11th floor. This is a very tall hotel with I think 40 floors. I didn't appreciate being mislead. The ATM was taken out of the hotel while I was there, not that it worked. I had to go over to the Holiday Inn to use the ATM there. In the late afternoon on February 1 2024, I went to the pool lounge area to relax a bit, it seems for whatever reason, the staff chose to ignore me. Other customers were served. All I wanted was an orange juice while I sat on the lounge chair and read a bit.

Breakfast buffet was delicious and great service! Beds were comfortable. Once they put staff in the pool area (after 11AM), they were very helpful and kind. If you could make the WiFi work, it was good and fast.

Pool opens at 8 (we got there past 9), however, no towels, no service and if you asked the person there, his answer was: I can't, I'm alone. Eventually we got towels, but umbrellas weren't brought out until 11AM after asking several times. Ours and somebody else's bathroom in our group had toilet leaks. Trying to connect to WiFi was a challenge and when we asked for support, they were very rude accusing me of changing the password, how could I change it if I couldn't even log in?? Elevators are not programmed properly, you could see most of the time they were around the same floors at the same time, so there was always a long wait.

We stay at the Riu every time we visit Guadalajara because we like it so much. The rooms are comfortable and spotless. Beds are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is spectacular and well worth the price. The staff is fluent in English, which was very helpful! Everything is exceptional here.

The only thing we didn't like was that there was an issue with our television signal. However once I reported it to the front desk, someone came and fixed it within about 15 minutes. So really this is not an example of something bad, but rather how attentive and helpful the staff is.

Locations and facilities were pretty good. Good ambiance at the bar and rooftop. Cleaning staff always very attentive and polite.

Wi-fi very unstable. Not recommended if you are working remotely. The key cards are a real nightmare. Outdated and I had a time trying for 20times to unlock the elevator - all guests complaining about it at the elevator. A tap system would be far more convenient. A vanity kit in the bathroom would also be a nice addition.

The food by the pool was very good, tasty and large portions

There was a lot of drunken locals around the pool at the weekends, as the hotel sold pool pass combos with drinks

The room was confortable with amazing views to the city, the bed was bigger than expected and confortable aswell. A/C was perfect it could get super cold and had 2 thermostats to each area of the room with 2 restrooms

what i didnt like was the pressure on the showers (its ok ) but its understandable since is a sustainable hotel which is taking caring about the environment and waste of water.

Location was ideal, close to my family I was visiting. Hotel room was quiet, bar was excellent. Fortunately, they had an ATM in the hotel lobby. It ran out of cash one evening, but not a big deal, since I was able to borrow from a friend.

Could not charge drinks from the pool area to my room. Had to have cash. I typically carry little cash, especially in the pool area.

Everything was great. The matress was so comfortable I did not want to leave. The breakfast was excellent. The swimming pool was great. Everything was nice and clean and comfortable.

The wifi is limited to a certain number of devices, which makes sense, but sometimes I had troubles using it even on devices I was already logged in. When you are travelling for work, it might be an issue, although nothing that cannot be fixed easily.
