Lovely friendly and helpful welcome. The room had a wonderful view right over the Place des Heros. The room was comfortable and well appointed - as was the shower room. THe breakfast, whilst rather crammed into a small area at the back of the bar was tasty and there was sufficient choice for our needs (basic continental only; nothing cooked)

A net curtain at the window would have been good to feel that there was more privacy when the curtains and windows were opened. Not the owner's fault, but the Booking.com website only indicated that parking was available. Actually the available parking was at a fair distance from the hotel (in a fully pedestrianised area). We found a free 1 hour slot as near as we could and walked for 10 minutes to the hotel with our cases. Only then did the owner recommend the best parking with access to the free Citadine navette service for which the nearest stop was only a few minutes away just off the pedestrian area. If only we'd know about any of this beforehand, we might have arrived rather less hot and bothered.

La cour des grands was a lovely place to stay in Arras, it was very central , right in the heart , in place de les Heros . Beautiful architecture. Lots of reasonably priced places to eat. Walking distance to train station. Place was spotless, bed comfy , staff friendly, breakfast delicious. I was travelling alone and I felt very safe in this town. I stayed on the third floor , four flights of stairs , so this may not be accessible to everyone , so if you have a dodgy , hip , knee or heart , it's probably better to not stay on the top floor , but the room , the bathroom off it and the private terrace were lovely.

The room was comfortable and quiet, albeit it was right on the main square of Arras. It's above a bar but there were no issues and we had a quiet night. The room was comfortable with a good en suite. The breakfast room is small but perfectly satisfactory. It was excellent value for the location.

Parking is a challenge in the centre of Arras and the closest parking is expensive. There are reasonable parking options a little further away (an easy walk) but people with a car should research these before arrival. We loved being close to the centre and were prepared to make this work.

A lovely room in the centre of Arras, located above a cafe overlooking the Place des Heros. The location was excellent, in the heart of the town, and surprisingly quiet for a busy area. The hostess was very welcoming and friendly. The decor of the property was really well done and thought through. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Secure, safe parking available a short walk from the property.

Not the fault of the property, but it was not possible to park close to the property, so we had to carry all our luggage a hundred metres or so from the car to the accommodation.

Wonderful room, super comfy bed and large luxurious bathroom. Location - overlooking the Place de Héros - was magnificent. The icing on the cake was the roof terrace - totally private, quiet (in a busy place) and comfortable. Air conditioning worked perfectly - and it was very hot! Lovely, friendly and helpful staff.

As others have said, it is above a bar - but we didn’t mind as we love people-watching! Very low level music which stopped around midnight - didn’t disturb us at all and you can’t hear it from the roof terrace anyway.

This property is a place that you don’t want anybody else to know about. You just wanted to be available for you whenever you come into town and enjoy the location the very friendly staff and the breakfast.

We stayed in the loft, which was all the way at the top. I would complain about the stairs, but every stair step that we took made us closer and closer to a beautiful location at top of the city that somehow the owners of this place managed to do a fantastic job with.

Fabulous location and very cheap parking only moments away. Good continental breakfast. The most comfy bed ever and the bath in the suite was so deep and luxurious plus plenty of hot water on tap ha ha! Went for the Christmas market. Lovely atmosphere, friendly people and beautiful place.

The other reviews were correct, there is a bar on the ground floor and music is loud but it stops at midnight so not a problem really. Not advised if you can’t do stairs. We were on the top floor. It’s a beautiful old building and there is no lift but steep and narrow stairs. Very characterful though.

The view from the room was beautiful. The manageress was lovely. Very helpful, especially as we don't speak French. She also carried my wife's suitcase up the stairs to the room.

The towels, when we arrived, were slightly damp. They were clean, but had probably been taken out of the dryer a bit early. Not a major problem - just worth mentioning I think.

The welcoming I received when I arrived was just a nice straight forward touch, the location is terrific located right where people gather and just celebrate life. My room was brilliant, best bed I ever slept in in Europe, breakfast was nice, the staff were terrific, I had some meals there as well as some nice cold French beers! Thank you

Nothing to dislike for me

While a little hard to find (the entrance being 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 a bar), the rooms are comfortable, perfectly appointed, and in an excellent location off the main square in Arras. The location on the side of Place des Héros couldn't be better, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars that will keep the most seasoned of party-goers / degustaters happy.

Breakfast was a light continental. While the cheeses were excellent, the bread was a little hard, and the croissants & pain-au-chocolat were cold. The cappuccino machine won't produce a cappuccino without sugar, so making the drink a tad too sweet. They have recently increased the breakfast price from €7.50 to €10.00, which is an extortionate rise, and I think you'd be best served finding somewhere else to break your fast. There are a fair number of bars around the square (Place des Héros) and they do tend to play loud music until around midnight. If you wanted to sleep with your windows open, this could be a problem, however the air conditioning is superb, so the windows can remain closed, and are, surprisingly, quite soundproof.
