We stayed for two nights because we wanted to catch the early ferry back to the UK. The Manoir D'Hasting is in an ideal location for the port. We had the evening meal which was very good. The drinks were slightly expensive, but we wanted the convenience of eating on site after a long drive. The menu was a little limited, but we both found options we liked. We did not have breakfast in the hotel. The second night we went to 'Ham and Jam' creperie, which was good fun and very enjoyable. In the room, the bed was very large and comfortable. The shower was great and the room had all the facilities we needed, including coffee making facilities.

I could only just get a Wi-Fi signal in the room. I could see messages, but not open them. One personal message I missed was very important. The ventilation system was noisy, but once it switched off the room was quiet.

Our stay at the Manoir Hastings was very pleasant. We had booked the accommodation to be close to the Port at Caen for a ferry back to Portsmouth. The owner was very friendly and allowed us to book in a little earlier than advertised. The rooms were spacious and clean with everything you would need inside. They have a nice area to sit out with a drink. It is also within walking distance to Pegasus Bridge which made a nice evening stroll. The service from the lady serving in reception/the bar was a little unfriendly but I think this was due to her being very busy. Perhaps just a smile when bringing out a drink would have been appreciated. Overall, a very acceptable stay.

Friendly staff, English spoken. Perfect place to stay before a visit to nearby Pegasus Bridge and Museum - not to be missed! Room comfortable with nice clean big bathroom. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal here and the buffet breakfast was also delicious. Lots of parking and also ideally placed if you are using the ferry to Portsmouth from Ouistreham

There is an old original building and it looks as if the owners have taken over a more modern hotel next door and are running both venues as one? We were in the modern hotel part which was a bit disappointing as I picked this hotel because if looked to be a lovely old building.

We booked the Manoir as a stop over before catching the ferry early the next morning and were very pleasantly surprised. We were in the older part of the building, which was very nicely decorated and comfortable with views out over a courtyard and garden. We went to the restaurant for dinner and had an exceptional meal, one of the best we'd had all week and very reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and friendly and although we had to leave as the breakfast service was about to start, there was a boulangerie just across the road that opened at 7am and it was only a few minutes' drive to the ferry. If you arrive early there is an easy walk from the hotel along the river to the Pegasus bridge, which was very interesting to see and to read the history. All in all, a great stay and I would recommend it.

The sound of people rolling suitcases along the hallways and going up and down the stairs is quite loud in the older building, but quietens down after everyone has arrived.

The location was within walking distance to Pegasus Bridge and the D Day museums and the town facilities. It is a ten minute drive to and from Ouistreham (Caen) ferry terminal. Very well placed to explore Normandy, the museums and the lovely sandy beaches. Really great to see the area and pass through on the way to and from the ferry The staff member who checked us in on Sunday was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and she was extremely cheerful and helpful despite being very busy. The other members of staff of which there were few were also helpful. The menu was small but adequate and very well executed by an obviously good chef.

After some rain the decking to our room was a bit green and slippery. A very sharp wardrobe door handle, it looked attractive but the sharp points cut my arm as I passed by.

A very nice hotel in a good location, close to the ferry terminal. We had a spacious,characterful room with nice big bed and good shower room. The garden looked like a nice place to sit, but we arrived too late to make use of it.

The person on reception was not at all friendly or welcoming. We were unable to drink a cup of coffee in the room, as it tasted of anti-septic. When I complained about the water (we think it was actually the kettle), she was very rude and wanted to charge me 3 euros for a thimble full of black coffee.

We arrived early for check in on a very hot day, were immediately given 2 bottles of water to refresh ourselves and then were upgraded to a lovely room. Dinner was good and the location was perfect for getting to the car ferry for the early departure. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing about the property. I thought check in at 5pm was late but we were able to check in just before 4. We were leaving too early for breakfast and it was only after we’d had dinner we were offered the option of a packed breakfast, which was too late for us.

We were only able to stay for a single night to break up our journey from the South back to Calais, but as soon as we pulled in to the car park we knew we had made a good choice. The Hotel and garden were just as we'd hoped and in a nice, quiet location literally round the corner from Pegasus bridge. Our 2 rooms were both clean and spacious and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was also very good - a continental buffet, but with a good choice and the best Croissant we had experienced in 2 weeks in France! Will most definitely stay again.

I can honestly stay that there is nothing that I could complain about - the hosts were lovely, the rooms and grounds peaceful and the location perfect.

Great little find. Charming hotel with friendly staff. Nice inner courtyard and walled garden to sit in albeit the weather didn’t permit that. Rooms are well appointed and tasteful with excellent mattresses for a comfortable nights sleep . We ate dinner which was very good and given a larger charcuterie plate than normal. So much so we had to save it for breakfast which the host offered gladly. Hotel is very close to Pégasus bridge although we didn’t appreciate that on booking. Would definitely go back with respective partners who would appreciate the charm.

Great location, beautiful place, delicious breakfast, friendly helpful staff, stylist decoration - love the bayeux tapestry hanging and the giant lego man in the room and the cane furniture. Big comfy bed. Close to the ferry port but far enough away to feel it's still part of holiday. Thank you.

Would've like some ventilation in the room. Good to have a fan but was a bit stuffy because there wasn't a window that we could open on a hot night. Other than that, it was perfect. Would definitely come again.
