Staff were very helpful. The rooms (we stayed in a garden room and a sea view room). The garden room was smaller and quieter but clean and comfortable. The sea view room was larger, equally clean and comfortable but there was a lot of loud noise/music from a venue on the seafront. It did stop around early evening so didn’t disturb sleep. It was nice resting in the garden after a day’s out. We loved it because of its history and it’s survival after WWII.

The bar hours were very specific and didn’t work for us which was a shame.

Not a dislike but more of a recommendation, the shower in our room was an in bath one. It would be very helpful to those like myself if a handhold could be put in the shower to aid getting in and out. I am not disabled but do have a replacement knee which limits my mobility to a degree particularly bending your leg high to get into a bath. It would be a great help if the was something to hold onto.

no ceiling lights, no light over the mirror in the bedroom hot water was exceedingly slow to run through and no hot water at 6.15am, we had to make an early start for the ferry only non-sport English tv channel was BBC News, CNN news was very poor with broken up picture and unwatchable My daughter and grandson's room: window wouldn't open and lots of noise as it was by the stairs and above reception The two rooms were on the same floor but not at all close to each other.

Fantastic location, just 5 mins by car from the ferry terminal and ideal location to pay respects to the D-Day landings - the hotel is directly beside Sword beach and one of the museums. Also worth visiting the memorial and ten bunker museum, just 5 minutes away in each location. Friendly staff and good breakfast

The entrance and stairwell decor are rather tired and gave a poor first impression. Fortunately room was in better condition, clean and comfortable enough.

Nice hotel in a great location within a very short walk of the beach and a good selection of restaurants. Very clean rooms and comfy beds. Onsite parking was secure with automatic gates which close at 22:30 but cost 10 euro a night per parking bay, but we didn't mind this as we was on motorbikes and fitted two in one bay and knew they were secure.

Breakfast was 13 Euro each per day and needs a lot more choice to justify that, Not just a little cheese, meat and eggs.

This beautiful little hotel is located steps from the beach and a very short walk to all kinds of restaurants, bakeries, and transportation. Staff are wonderful, helpful, and passionate about their region. The breakfast features baked goods from a local (and phenomenal) bakery, along with other locally-sourced products. All in all, highly recommend.

Great location near the beach and an easy walk to shops, bars and restaurants. Our room was very clean with a lovely view over the garden and great choice for our overnight stay. Very friendly helpful lady booked us in and spoke perfect English (a bonus for us with limited french!) and brought us drinks from the bar to enjoy in the garden. The secure car park was very useful and enabled us to have a worry free stay and only a five minute trip to the ferry in the morning.

We couldn’t fault anything with our stay but perhaps tea/coffee making facilities in the room or reception would be an added bonus.

Accommodation in a nice old villa. Pleasant owners, good breakfast, view of the beach. Parking in the garden (chargeable). Comfortable beds.

Clearly the weakest element of the accommodation was its bathroom. It was very small, along with the toilet, making showering and any movement in the narrow space difficult. The bathroom was unsuitable for a quadruple room, it would deserve a renovation.

It is a nice historic property with a great sea front view

I think it’s quite expensive and to charge extra for parking when there is plenty of space there shouldn’t be an additional expense. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom which I think is a must for me so I wouldn’t return.

The hotel is in a fabulous location if you're travelling by ferry. It has a lot more character than an Ibis, is very comfortable, with good facilities and very helpful staff. The breakfast was very good. We didnt have chance to explore the area but we would definitely plan to arrive earlier next time to have a walk around.
