Julien at the front desk was very nice & welcoming. Excellent customer service! They Accept check-in’s til 18h, but they will text complete instructions if you come after 18h, just let them know in advance. Couldn’t do breakfast, as we had a ferry to catch in the morning, but Julien did give us good restaurant recommendations for dinner. Comfortable bed, decent size room. Walking distance to ferry. Overall good value for your money. Good for one night. I would stay again to catch another ferry.

No toilet seat cover. No elevator. (Not a problem for us, but for some people it is). There was one plug on each side of the bed, which was good, but only 1 other plug in the room and it wasn’t in the bathroom , it was under the desk. They do supply a hair drier, but you have to plug it in under the desk to dry your hair. Kinda awkward.

Lovely room - the hotel is in a great location. Out of the reception door you are right by all the eateries/boulangerie etc. One excellent feature - on the House Rules Info it asks for guests to please respect others - noise etc and banging doors not after 9.30. The doors are also fitted with soft closers so they dont bang. Very nice feature ! also if you are lucky enough behind the hotel there are 5 free parking spots just for the hotel ... big thumbs up. We didnt stay long enough !

My room was small, and this part of the hotel hasn't been modernised, but that's what I expected. Breakfast was excellent. Location was ideal, right in the middle of the pedestrianised bars and restaurants area and very close to the beach. For that reason it was quite noisy--though not very late at night--but that wasn't a problem for me. Only what you'd expect in such a central area of a tourist resort. The resident receptionist/duty manager, Julien, was great. Always helpful and friendly, with good English.

Ideally I'd have had a bigger room so I could have sat in a chair at the table, rather than on the bed, to watch TV. But I would probably have had to pay more for that.

We loved the couple who own and run the hotel and the bar! They are extremely helpful and pleasant! They work hard and they work hard to please their customers! They go above and beyond. We ended up not actually staying, which is why I can't comment on the room or the comfort, but the proprietors definitely and whole-heartedly go above and beyond in service and hospitality. They tried everything they could to help us in our mistakes and fumbles! And we made a few!

I didn't remember noticing in the listing that the room is a third floor walk-up. To be honest, in my rush, it's possible it was sitting right there in the listing and I simply didn't see it. My friend was in no shape to walk up three flights of stairs. It's all on me, I'm sure. I 'm the one who booked the room. I'm the one who missed the details.

The room was fine and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also fine. Contact with the hotel was always very friendly and helpful especially as we were arriving 'out of hours' i.e. 10.30 pm The breakfast was good and plenty of it!

The room was fine, however because it was hot we had the window open. We were woken by a small child shouting and yelling very late at night and very noisy delivery vehicle early in the morning. Not directly the fault of the hotel, but our room did face the large car park and delivery area next to the hotel. Our rooms were on the top floor and there is no lift so dragging suitcases to up many flights of stairs was not a great end to a long day.

The hotel is in the main street and we thought it would be a bit noisy but it was very quiet. Although they do not have a building for bikes we were able to lock the bikes to railings in a courtyard at the back of the hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The room and bathroom was a bit dated but everything was clean and there was plenty of hot water. There are places to eat near the hotel and it is only a short walk to restaurants near the port. We were catching the early morning boat to UK and it only took a few minutes to cycle from the hotel to the port. Although a bit dated the hotel is good value and cyclist friendly.

Easy to find, great location for the town (very safe) & easy parking. The owners were delightful - very welcoming & extremely helpful. Excellent English spoken. The room was medium sized but very clean and a very good bed. Nice bathroom. A lovely French breakfast with a good range. Good value for money. Nice quiet bar. Will return. RF

Kettle in the room would be a nice addition.

Fantastic welcome and staff, always friendly, excellent English, clearly working on making this place the best it can be. Nice breakfast sat out on the front promenade. Rooms were clean and neat.

Parking at the rear of the hotel was difficult on a particularly busy Sunday in August, the Monday was a lot easier as Julien predicted, a lot of day trippers had gone home Sunday night.

Very clean and run by a family. All very friendly and most helpful, nothing was too much trouble

Our twin bedded room was up three flights of stairs. Julian the owner/manager took our luggage up and a member of his family took it all down when went to leave. Very kind

I had a slight problem with booking this hotel (booking.com problem not the hotel) and as a result I had to check direct with the hotel to ensure I was actually booked in. I was, and the help given to me by Julien at the hotel was exceptional. When I checked in the following day he remembered our conversation and was again very helpful with my requests, not necessarily common ones. He took everything in his stride, An excellent stay!

Only one minor problem, room 15 suffers from being next to the stairs and also the person above me had no consideration for the room below. Having said that, the noise ceased around 11pm and I had an uninterrupted night's sleep.
