Fabulous access for the Brittany Ferry -- a 3-minute drive. Optional gated parking just down from the hotel entrance (€15 surcharge) - but find out how to exit before you enter it! I got stuck there when the gate closed automatically (after a reasonable time, I must say) before I was ready to leave. Got out by calling the hotel from my mobile phone. (SAFETY TIP: Never go outside anywhere, even briefly. without a sufficiently charged mobile phone!) Access is off the side street. There's a ramp beside the entrance steps for easy access to/from the street. Our room was Ibis-ordinary, with minimal floor space, but adequate & clean as Ibis's rooms almost invariably are. The day & night receptionists were courteous & helpful. They spoke English -- but do practice whatever French you have, even if only Please and Thank You. All your attempts will be appreciated, however skilled or unskilled you may be. You ARE in France ...

The hotel should give printed instructions for exiting the gated parking lot to all who use it. See above for why!

Perfect location when using the ferry port. Dog friendly, even provided our dog with a goody bag with a toy and treat inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. The 6.00am start for breakfast is good when you have an early ferry to catch. Nice bar/restaurant just down the road or short stroll to the town centre for a range of bars and restaurants. We used this hotel for a return ferry crossing having stayed in an Ibis budget in the centre of Caen when we arrived. I would pay the difference and stay here again, no need to navigate the busy roads round Caen, closer to the ferry and much nicer facilities. Was the middle of a heatwave when we stayed and unfortunately the air con was not yet fully installed but will be soon which will be a great bonus. There is on street parking but also secure gated parking for a small charge which we gladly paid for extra piece of mind. Check in is from 2.00pm

The room was a little small but as it’s just a one night stop over was not a problem.

Smaller room than usual for an Ibis Styles but adequate for a 1 night stay assuming people will be catching an early morning ferry which is a few 100m away. Secure and partly covered parking was also a bonus for my motorcycle. The bar area was being renovated when I was there so it could not be used. Shower, etc all good and excellent cleanliness. Restaurants were available nearby for food. Just a perfect place for the ferry.

Room a bit small if you have suitcases, but why not leave them in the car in favour of an overnight bag.

Had everything we needed for a short stay. Parking, near to port & restaurants/bars within walking distance. Bedrooms were small but well thought out. Good shower. Would recommend Norman’s bar 100yards down the street.

Plenty available at breakfast however scrambled eggs and beans weren’t very hot. Rest was continental and adequate. Bed was comfy but plastic protector under sheet made it really hot. Could have done with another staff member in the evening to staff the bar.

Friendly and informative staff. Good accommodation, and especially appreciated for being on the ground floor. Secure parking for the car.

The breakfast buffet was a little scrappy by the time we got to table. The staff were friendly and working hard, but the buffet was running out of food quicker than anticipated. There were others arriving in the breakfast room after us, so I hope the buffet was renewed for them.

We needed just a bed for one night before our coming back home by ferry. And we got absolutely great room with comfortable bed,very clean. Good size bathroom with big shower cabinet. Free car park with many spaces. Good WiFi . View from our window at the ferry terminal. Breakfast very good. Bread and baguettes still warm. Around hotel many restaurants,brasseries ,bars,supermarkets,wine shops.

Location perfect for Caen-Portsmouth ferry early the next morning. Cutesy room with nautical theme, as if you were already on the ferry! Close to a pub, "Normans" (!) just over the road, offering a good selection to a mostly British clientele.

Gated carpark was a bit of a mission. It was fairly small, and several spaces already occupied by a coach! We ended up parking in a Gendarmerie spot, which didn't impress the Gendarmerie, but we'd paid for secure parking so we were going to use it (they didn't ticket us!!).

The hotel is in a great location for the Poole ferry and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Price reasonable and staff very pleasant and helpful. Secure parking on site available at minimum cost.

No bar / restaurant due to building work. Place is a bit tired so it is good to see improvements being made. Rooms are small. Ok for a short stay when touring.

The location was excellent. The room was spotless. The receptionist was helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed our buffet breakfast - freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit salad, even vegan yoghurt and the bread was delicious. The room was small as described, but the bed was comfortable, and there was a good shower. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, as we arrived too late.

After a delay due to industrial action (French Farmers blocking the motorways) we missed our Ferry and hence needed a place for the night. The location, right next to the teminal, couldn't have been better as was the secure parking - so not having to worry about all our belongings. On top of that the staff were excellent, having driven for hours and arriving just after midnight we were wired, but the manageress said she would keep the bar open for a short while so that we could get a drink to unwind. So accomodating thank-you
