I stopped staying at this hotel several years ago as the staff were unhelpful and the rooms drab and in need of an update! Decided to try it again and it feels as if it’s under new ownership…extremely helpful and welcoming manager couldn’t have been more pleasant and my room was perfect, bath shower wc gleaming as if only recently installed, delightful pale blue decor, sparkling clean, quiet and sunny location at the rear of the property . Excellent value for money! I couldn’t use the restaurant on this occasion but will do so on my next visit as the menu looked delicious and people were clearly enjoying their food! Highly recommend this hotel!

Couldn’t be much more convenient for the ferry for my early morning departure. Although the hotel has no parking, the public car park across the road was fine and payment is only required between 0900 and 1900, overnight therefore is free. Didn’t notice any wandering groups of men in the town this time, very much in evidence on my last visit The restaurant served me a nice dinner at a good price. My room (17) on second floor at front would have been unbearable during the heatwave of previous week but was fine with window wide open, shower room and toilet were still very warm. WiFi was ok. Bed was ok. Basically fine for price paid

The staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived late from the ferry (22:00) and someone was waiting for the guests and helped us. The room was quiet, bright, clean and had large windows which made is easy to ventilate. The breakfast was good value for money. It was a very easy option as our ferry arrived in Ouistreham late in the evening. It’s close to the ferry, easy to reach by car and to park next to. It is also not too far from the beach and I could take my dog for a run along the sea in the morning before leaving.

Net curtains would be a good addition to the thick curtains so that you can get ready in the morning in natural light.

We booked this hotel as it had a safe space for our bikes. The staff tried to phone us the morning we were to arrive to tell us there was an issue. T he person who was to open the room for the bikes would not be able to be there until 7.30am. Unfortunately we did not hear the call. Our ferry was leaving at 8.30am and there might not be time to get to the ferry in time However when we arrived at the hotel the staff member was so helpful in finding an alternative safe place for the bikes. Nice clean room.

The staff provided help for my special request. The room was cozy and functional. It was a short walking distance to the ferry to Portsmouth. It's along a bike trail that goes past the D-day beaches. Good value for what you get. A decent restaurant is attached, and a Tabac.

It is close to the ferry but some distance from the commercial part of Ouistreham. There is no market or ATM nearby

200m from ferry port. Perfect for an overnight stay, Staff helpful with storing bikes inside, even in our room. Room clean and quiet with separate toilet and separate shower room. Bed comfy, Restaurant in hotel not used. L'Auberge next door highly recommended. Church bells in town at 7am start your day. Notably little seagull noise. Would stay again.

Hot water when we arrived at 5pm was warm, not hot, but in the morning it was hot. Per French practice, there was no kettle for making drinks in room.

Friendly and helpful welcome. Room was clean and in good condition, although very basic. Sanitary ware was very dated but in good condition and fine for the low price. I would use again and recommend if you are on a tight budget or just want a clean and basic low cost option to be ready for the ferry in the morning.

Nothing really, if you want more, you need to pay more.

Located within close walking distance from ferry port. Room had good view & overlooked the church. Staff were friendly. The big attraction to this hotel for us was the restaurant serving exceptionally good food at a very good price!! We both had set menu for 29 Euros each, we ordered seafood platter, steak, duck & trio of puddings with coffee for dinner & moules frites for lunch.

Not much except room could do with a bit of a refurb.

Great location and price for a one night stopover before getting an early ferry the next morning. Restaurants nearby. Staff friendly.

Some noise from traffic accessing ferry terminal. Bikes parked in rear locked yard - a yard which was shared with the adjacent restaurant - although I was somewhat sceptical on safety in fact this worked out well.

It's a good value hotel which we found to be perfectly comfortable. Convenient for the port we wanted something simple and affordable for the night which the hotel was. The beds were good and the room large enough for our needs, although the rooms were a little dated it was all clean.

Pre-stay communications were poor. Asking politely about late arrival (in French) I asked if it was ok to arrive late and if they had a secure room for bikes. All I got was "oui" in response. Other reviewers had mentioned that they needed a code to arrive late and I wanted to know before the day as we were coming by ferry and sometimes my phone doesn't work for a while when roaming. However, their policy seems to be to call you with the code if you arrive after 9pm. We found not knowing this quite stressful, arriving late with two young ones. I hope knowing this is helpful to others.
