A lovely room with a great sea view. Centrally located, easy to discover the town by foot. The streets around the hotel are very clean. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Plenty of shops. A decent breakfast in an enjoyable setting, also possible to have your breakfast on the big balcony of the breakfast room. No extra fee for the dog, only a 100 euro deposit which was returned when checking out.

The mattress was slightly too hard although we both like quite firm mattresses. There was quite a lot of noise until about 11 pm from the restaurant under the hotel and from the Christmas market that surrounded the hotel. Also you could hear the street cleaning vehicles from 4 am onwards. Only a problem if you are a light sleeper, though. A good idea to go for the rooms on upper floors. No parking but eg Parking St Exupery is only 5 minute walk from the hotel (unsupervised underground parking) if you don't have much luggage. I had to insist that we had booked with breakfast included (a Booking.com perk) and in the end they did notice that detail on the reservation print-out they had. After that is was no problem.

Hotel was small but beautiful. I thought the room was a bit small but my brother who frequents Cannes said the room is massive compared to other hotels in the area in the same price range. Staff were very friendly. I love the location and had stunning restaurants, activities and shops within walking distance. Breakfast was limited but brilliant if you are just looking for a cup of coffee, croissants, cereals, meats and cheeses. I can't complain about breakfast as it had everything I enjoy but others who want a more cooked breakfast might find this limiting. All in all I can not fault this hotel and everything was excellent.

The room was a bit noisy due to a concert happening close by but the hotel did provide ear plugs. Keep this in mind if you are noise sensitive. I didn't mind the noise but others might find it disturbing if not using the ear plugs provided.

the hotel obviously has had better times; what probably once was an elegant and impressive entrance with lobby, bar and restaurant offering style, chique and grandeur is now rented/sold to other bars/icecream shops/etc of a level that does not match the hotel and its building. This is a pity. the finishing of the bathroom as well as the breakfastroom/lounge bar did not meet the price and allure of this hotel. it was not horrible, but one excepts more at this level.

There really wasn't anything that I didn't like. I have stayed in several hotels in Cannes before and this one was great. It really was a great location.

Incredibly friendly and hospitable ladies at the reception who warmly welcomed us at the hotel and made our stay so remarkable. Another point to mention, the breakfast was really delicious. We were super lucky with the weather so did enjoy our breakfast at the outside terrace that overlooks a nice square. And of course a wonderful sea view from our room. Thank you and we look forward to stay at your hotel the next time we’re in Cannes.

Shabby bath-tubs and dirty tile joints plastic curtain sticking to your body while washing slow elevator PS: would have given a slightly lower rate if not an upgrade of the room and very good communication from the staff!

Loved the location. Right in centre of everything eg. Croisette, Festival Hall, Casino, Old Town, shops, beaches. One of the oldest hotels in Cannes and the rooms are beautiful. We had one overlooking the sea etc with a small balcony which is worth paying extra for. Good size and slightly quirky but all this adds character! Breakfast very enjoyable. Lots of food to choose from including hot. Staff very friendly and helpful. Positioned right at start of Rue Antibes which is the biggest shopping street! Bistro New York at front of hotel one of the best in Cannes for lunch and dinner.

The only thing was the wifi wasn’t working properly and it also affected tv. I assume this doesnt happen all the time and it was very disappointing to say the least.

Hotel Splendid was in an ideal position, central for restaurants and the port. It was so comfortable and clean. I loved my room, so spacious with a balcony over looking the port. Breakfast was included and there was so much choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed my four nights stay there.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The location is perfect - in the middle of the town, close to all the restaurants, the marina, the beach and all else Cannes has to offer.

Because the hotel is in the middle of the city, it can be quite noisy if you open the windows. Fortunately, the windows are soundproof so no problem if you keep them closed (AC in the room was good, so no problems here either)

The breakfast was good. There were many choices to choose from. The location was great right in the heart of everything. The staff were very friendly and accommodating . The space was adequate for us a bit tight due to our luggage

The building itself is historical has lots of charm if you’re into that. Our friends preferred more trendy modern accommodations.
