The staff are so helpful, this hotel is spotlessly clean, as is the swimming pool and surrounding area, heated outdoor pool as well. Excellent over all.

The hotel is a good distances outside of town, and the fact that they don't serve any food after breakfast.

Beautiful boutique hotel. We loved the style and design of the rooms. The family room was perfect with two separate but connected bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Comfortable beds and very clean. Very nice breakfast with view on the garden. We only stayed one night in Fall while on a road trip, but for summer stays, the hotel also has a beautiful swimming pool. The hotel is in a very quiet area but only 5 minutes away from the tourist part of town. Overall a lovely stay.

A very relaxed atmosphere in a quiet location a short drive from tourist areas in Carcassonne.A car is needed to access this hotel. We enjoyed the swimming pool each afternoon. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained.Our bathroom in particular was very comfortable.

The description of the facilities on 'booking.com' were a little inaccurate.It might have been an error in translation?The rooms were described as having 'shared wc' when in fact our wc/bathroom was en-suite to our room and we did not share it with anyone.I would advise that this is amended because it does not describe the facilities on offer accurately. We thought that the breakfast on offer , although excellent in terms of choice and quality, was a little expensive.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay here, everyone who works here goes above and beyond to make sure you are ok and that you have everything you need. The rooms and the pool area are immaculately kept. You can order drinks to the poolside, seriously you could not wish for a more lovely place to relax, just a short drive away from the bustle of the city.7

On arrival, Hotel La Bastide Saint Martin, is impressive, Entering through two large iron gates into a area providing sufficient car parking. The Foyer of the Hotel was also impressive, possessing wonderful ambience and decor. There is an open area for breakfast, which was quite adequate, adjacent to a large heated pool surrounded by chairs and sun lounges. The room had air- conditioning which was a great relief from the single fans experienced in our two previous stays. The owners provided excellent assistance when required, especially since we spoke little French. Both owners were essential in assisting us when we severely damaged a tyre on our rented Peugoet 2008. They spoke (French) to Hertz in Carcassonne and managed to organize the return of our vehicle. . . . . . we will be forever in their debt for their kindness and personal assistance. Rating: 8/10

The only negatives were that the property was located some four kms from Carcassonne, requiring a car to get into the town. The small size of the room which made accommodation of our 4 large suitcases a challenge, leaving little room to walk. The necessity to lug our suitcases up a flight of stairs to our room and the absence of a refrigerator, especially when we had milk (for coffee in the morning and a few bottles of white wine). The Breakfast though quite good, was optional. Our unit was described as being a Superior Double Room which was wheelchair accessible . . .in fact our accommodation was a single room with a separate bathroom on the first floor, hardly wheelchair accessible

The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. Especially the young lady at the reception was very helpful and shared all possible options and suggestions. Breakfast was great and totally worth it. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and sufficient parking.

The room was a bit small and sober but the hotel itself was perfect with a parking and a nice swimming pool. It is a bit too far to walk to Carcassonne but perfect if you travel by car.

Beautiful hotel, with a really nice pool, drinks by the pool were delicious and reasonably priced. The room was comfortable with hospitality tray and toiletries. Breakfast was very good. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and very kind about our poor French. We would definitely stay here again. Also great recommendations for restaurants.

An attractive hotel with a lovely pool area within a short driving distance of Carcassonne. Our deluxe room had a terrace overlooking the garden and pool. A nice breakfast room and terrace overlooking the pool but the breakfast was expensive.

They only provided 3 teabags for 2 of us for 2 nights. The breakfast was expensive. No dinner provided. We had to drive into Carcassonne.

We've enjoyed our holiday at Hôtel La Bastide Saint-Martin very much! We had a wonderful room, with a spacious bathroom and more than enough closet space. The owners and the receptionist Myriam are very nice and hospitable. They want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The swimmingpool, sunbeds and garden are lovely and comfortable.

There's hardly anything we didn't like. Maybe a more stable WiFi would be welcome.

Love the location, it is so quiet and beautiful. Isabel and Alain are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast lovely as are the rooms

Perhaps a complimentary bottle of water in the room would be nice especially as the hotel is closed after 7.30.
