Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. We were very happy about the luggage lockers which enabled us to leave the luggage at the hotel after checkout and go visit the castle.

Location - it doesn't seem to be very far away from the train station but as there is no bus service on holidays we had to walk. It's a disgrace that you have to pay a climate tax for the stay to the municipality and what you get for it from Carcassonne are broken pavements along main streets, often blocked by cars which made pulling the suitcases on the way to the hotel a real struggle.

It was problem free. Very helpful staff, large secure car park at rear so easy to bring in and take out luggage. It was spotlessly clean and has a big separate shower. Big Leclerc supermarket and other stores nearby to buy food for dinner or have a meal.

Air con was not effective but thankfully it was cooler at night. Road in front was noisy but I use I pods to listen to an e- book when staying in hotels so it did not disturb my sleep. It is an older Ibis but the rooms have been updated.

This is a great budget hotel in which to base yourself in Carcassonne. As others say, it's a fair distance from the central city and train station if you don't have a vehicle (like me), but the walk is not difficult nor is the road very busy or dangerous. Staff here are lovely, the room I had was comfortable and I enjoyed the breakfast selection in the morning. It's also an easy walk to the main entrance of the medieval town (Porte Narbonnaise), and you don't need to do a strenuous uphill walk as you would if walking from the city side. Highly recommended.

Everything was great

Exactly what I needed - great location 15mins walk to the old city, with gated secure parking to the rear for my motorcycle. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The breakfast was also surprisingly good - they even had non-dairy milk alternatives (though the actual breakfast room is very small and a bit disorganised!)

The hotel is a bit dated but nothing you wouldn't expect from one in this budget.

It was a bit far from the city. Busses are not that frequent. Dining room is a bit too small and hard to get a place when it is busy. All those things are not too bad, just could be a little better.

It’s was clean and comfortable. We only wanted budget accommodation. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There was a lift to all floors and facilities on hand - drinks and snacks vending.

Nothing really. It was small, but we weren’t expecting huge anyway. It met all our expectations in terms of somewhere comfortable to sleep.

The staff were so good. They literally could not do enough for you. This hotel represents excellent value for money and is only a short distance from the medieval city. A great option for those with their feet under them but do take note, it is difficult to get a taxi to take you the short trip from the attractions to this hotel. We had a family member with us who has mobility issues and this was as an issue from us. Once you are in the hotel, the staff can wrangle a taxi for you and do so with pleasure.

Only thing I could possibly say is I would have liked another pillow but having already asked the staff for an extra towel and a hair dryer I felt too bad to go out and ask them for anything else.

The staff was really friendly. The breakfast was quite good. The room was small but completely reach my expectations. The good thing is that the hotel is located at 20min walk from the Fortress. I definitely recommend this place for a short stay

The view wasnt exceptionnal. But this wasnt really a problem as we stayed only one night. Regarding the breakfast, if you would like an English breakfast, you are going to be disappointed. They only offer sweet options.

The staff was amazing, quickly checked us in, and provided information for everything in town. The room was extremely clean and modern, everything was perfect. There is air conditioning in the room, but on really hot days it may not be enough. The breakfast was buffet style typical European style. Cold cuts, cheese, bread, fruits, cereal, etc. with juice and coffee machines. Parking is easy, spaces are free. It is a 15 minute walk from the castle or you can opt to drive to closer paid parking lots. There is a great viewing point 5 minutes driving near some vineyards or at a stop along the toll highway. There are not many options for food within 5 minutes walking, but there are plenty in the castle.

Just like any budget Hotel, the rooms are a bit smaller and there is no fridge. The breakfast has limited options, but for the price was excellent.

Comfortable room which was en-suite. The bathroom was a practical size with an adequately sized sink for washing and shaving. The buffet breakfast was good value and it provided plenty of variety.T

As the room was for 3 people, it had a bunk bed above the bed so I had to be careful to lower my head. I expect this arrangement was in order to potentially accommodate the maximum number of people.
