We loved our stay at Maison Dodo! Gaspare is a wonderful host, all our needs were met and more. You can tell that he is very passionate about hospitality. Would highly recommend the evening meals, Gaspare’s cooking is excellent and we enjoyed every mouthful. The wine is very good and very reasonably priced. A very peaceful and relaxing stay, thank you so much Gaspare! We will be back :)

The location is great, just 15 minutes outside Bergerac, but that is not why you should stay here. The facilities are wonderful, great beds and bedding. The host is simply excellent. Not only is he a wonderful and attentive host, he is a talented chef, who made 3 nights just brilliant. Rolled chicken with prosciutto and Gorgonzola sauce, amazing lasagne, red wine risotto with sausage, and a different breakfast everyday!

I can’t think of anything to make our stay better

Domaine maison dodo is really the perfect place for vacations. Everything in it is perfect, starting with Gaspare, our host who made sure we had everything we needed and beyond. The estate itself is so calm and so beautiful that you just want to spend the rest of your life there, the moment you get in. The room is super clean and very well decorated. And the pool is amazing. Eating there is another level. Breakfast is so good, and dinner is just mind-blowing, from starters to wind to main course to dessert. The best experience and we definitely are going back!

Hospitality was excellent and very welcoming. Everything was perfect. Biggest and nicest bathtowels (a big plus for us). Bed was big and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. I never thought of putting parmesan on my scrambled eggs. Divine! Many thanks for having us at such short notice!

This is by far one of our favourite destinations in the Bergerac region. The host and owner never fails to impress his dinners are superb. A fabulous 2 day stay. The white cotton sheets and pillows were a class apart. Great stay and a attentive host

The dinner was a “surprise” and was truly excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our own Italian chef! The wine was very reasonably priced and good quality. The bedrooms were beautifully appointed with original features. Our host was super friendly. Would highly recommend and would visit again.

Nothing to dislike or complain about.

The rooms were large and very comfortable. Our dinners were just fantastic, exceeded our expectations and our beds/bedding were particularly comfortable. Attention to quality and locally sourced food by owner also matters to us and makes us happy. A gem of a place. Go without hesitation and order his dinners!

Beautiful location with the best host. Meals were exceptional. Gaspal is a great chef. Wine was top notch and all of the shared spaces, including the pool were wonderful. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Our bed/pillows were just a bit uncomfortable.

Maison Dodo is an idyllic country house situated near many wonderful vineyards. The rooms are peaceful and comfortable, the pool is a welcome retreat on a hot day and Gaspare is such a thoughtful host. I cannot say enough about the fine restaurant quality dinners cooked by Gaspare using local produce.

We liked everything about Domaine Maison. It is lovely old converted tobacco farmhouse in a large garden with a swimming pool. Spotlessly clean large bedrooms and a delicious breakfast.
