It's a great little place. Very simple, no frills or 'luxuries' but honestly all that's needed. Our room was surprisingly modern and well appointed, air con (definitely needed in summer) and a really lovely pool with plenty of sun loungers and chairs. The pool area was remarkably quiet and peaceful given our location and it not being a massive site, it was really so relaxing. The breakfast is simple but again all you could really ask for (no cooked stuff if you're interested in that). We didn't manage to secure one of their limited parking spaces but there is a great parking lot right opposite with barrier entry/exit which seemed secure enough to me. €15 per day. The location is great too, a few minutes and you're in the historic centre. All the staff were very friendly and polite too.

Honestly there was nothing not to like. As I said, it's relatively basic but that doesn't mean poor quality. The only slight downside is no bar (or restaurant), although you can order drinks at reception, but really with town right on your doorstep it's not a big deal

This is an excellently run hotel with a very welcoming reception. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and air conditioned. The outdoor swimming pool, with surrounding chairs and a couple of loungers was a bonus especially in the current heatwave. The hotel also had secure parking which was pre-bookable at €12 which we thought reasonable. Central Bergerac is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel with several choices of places to eat.

Breakfast was disappointing for €13 per person. It was continental style but we still felt that it lacked much variety. The coffee from the machine was disappointing too.

The location is perfect - only a short walk from the old, pretty part of Bergerac, the River Dordogne and a big selection of restaurants. It is also only a short walk from the train station for day trips to places like Sarlat or Bordeaux. And, for those with a car, there is a car pack. The air conditioning in the room is efficient and the beds are very comfortable. As older guests we appreciated the lift. The staff speak English and are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and garden are a bonus in a hotel which is so central. Overall, this hotel is good value for the price.

Breakfast was disappointing for 12 Euros pp - especially the coffee from a vending machine. The family room would have benefitted from a more imaginative decor - it was very beige and bland.

The room was a little small but a superb shower room. 3 older ladies happy to share and 3 single beds were provided as requested. Staff were great, very helpful and obliging. Very clean

Secure car parking. We arrived at the hotel at around 11:30 knowing the room would not be ready until later in the day. The owner was on reception and he was very friendly and advised we could use the car park immediately and the rooms would be ready later. Upon check in the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Rooms air conditioned which was vital as it was 32 degress C outside. Rooms and hotel spotlessly clean. Pool and seating area a bonus a right in the centre of Bergerac. Only stayed for 1 night as flying back to UK the following morning but I would stay here again when visiting Bergerac and would recommend this hotel.

Very friendly, helpful and honest staff who returned my girlfriends sunglasses that she left in the dining room at breakfast. Thanks so much. Family room was a really good size. Excellent pool and lovely garden. Perfect location, just a 2 min walk into the heart of Bergerac town.

This hotel is really special and the one to choose if visiting Bergerac. Helpful and friendly staff, a really comfortable room, and the added bonus of a garden and pool to relax in. Also a great location. I would highly recommend it and certainly hope to return. So a big thank you to everyone at Hotel de Bordeaux!

Good location. Large comfortable bed. Nice airy dining room and good continental breakfast. Nice outside area. Excellent service before and during stay to assist a member of our group with reduced mobility, much appreciated. Very helpful staff.

It would have been nice to have had a mini refrigerator and a safe in the room. This was a standard room , maybe other rooms did.
