Beautiful grounds, clean, comfortable rooms, huge (by European standards) walk in shower. Nice continental breakfast. Patrice was nice and always accommodating. Being only days in the country, his capable use of English was welcome.

Mostly because it was a surprise but in the end turned out fine. There is a dog roaming free on the property. There is a statement indicating this buried in the official website but I'm sure the booking website didn't mention it. There is a warning sign upon arrival. She's a very sweet dog and well behaved for a youngster, but curious. My dog is old, handicapped, and reactive so wondering if she would be outside at every needed break was a little nerve-wracking. There were two encounters that ultimately turned out just fine. I just think there should be a more prominent notice given to potential guests.

Exceptionally comfortable beds in a large room with a decent shower and relaxing view over the wild but wonderful gardens of this traditional old French hotel. Yes the restaurant is permanently closed, the tennis court abandoned, and the walk into town too long … but all of this info is on their web page, so shame on those reviewers who still turn up … and the moan about such matters. The owners dog is delightful, provided you don’t mind the attention! Breakfast was simple but fresh, served by staff (rather than self service) in a lovely airy dining room, and good value.

Hopefully the restaurant will one day reopen and the hotel will get some investment to restore the beautiful grounds. Meantime, great value for a restful stay. Check out the Blanche Hermine crêperie in thé Old Town quarter when it’s time to eat!

The hotel is "tres sympa" in a very French way. Management including the lovely Beauceron Entil are friendly and professional. I loved the huge tasty croissants offered at breakfast which exceeded my expectations. Good base to visit the Perigord Noir at easy driving distance. Lovely old trees, good size clean pool, although I only used it once due to the weather.

Maybe a jobseeker might be found to tend to the immediately reachable weeds near the old mas.

The hotel grounds are lovely, good location, close to the centre and it has a big swimming pool.

The hotel is a little dated in places, but thats ok as its good value, BUT.... It would definitely benefit from air conditioning! , one fan in a room for 3 people wasn't quite sufficient in August temperatures!

Really nice overnight stay, lovely rooms together, we were a large family. The pool was great after a day travelling and before setting off the next morning. The restaurant is separate to the hotel but we had a nice breakfast paid separately so worked well. Very relaxed and a lovely owner, would definitely stay again.

Excellent location for visiting Bergerac, plenty of parking and only 10 minutes from the centre of town.

Was surprised by the €9 charge for continental breakfast. No option to only have coffee, and the cost/menu was not advertised. Decided to miss breakfast on 2nd day and Instead have it in town

Staff and property were great, my French is poor but his English was good so we got there!

I thought from the explanation that there would be à onsite restaurant, but there was only food available for breakfast, which by the way was excellent but it means travelling out again for an evening meal, although reading the information which says food is available at night, but maybe à language barrier means I didn’t understand.

Friendly host, excellent service, the most comfortable beds. Nothing was too much trouble. Hotel was in such a peaceful, tranquil location,. Lovely swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers and towels provided. Food in restaurant of excellent quality.

A characterful house with adjoining garden patio, covered terrace and pool and pool side area as well as indoor dining space abs bar space - lots if free parking and shaded areas - full of character

It may have needed a little more investment in it but fundamentally it was a characterful 200 year old property originally a farm with outbuildings - we were able to purchase food in the evening which was good quality but there was a limited menu - there was a great bar which we bought tasty local wine from at a reasonable price too

Disappointed that all services outside breakfast stopped on the Sunday of a bank holiday weekend until Tuesday. It felt like a restaurant being closed for lunch. More of a restaurant with rooms than a hotel, and with the restaurant closed...
