Great hotel, perfect location will definitely return. Everything was very clean, staff extremely helpful. Large car park opposite if onsite parking is full and it’s not that expensive. Pool area was immaculate and extremely welcoming in nearly 40 deg heat! Staff very knowledgeable of local area and restaurants. Rooms cleaned daily. Small bar run by reception staff. Breakfast is continental with a good selection and topped up frequently throughout breakfast times. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a central stay in Bergerac. Would also highly recommend Bergerac wine tours if you’re looking for a day trip whilst staying in Bergerac. We were collected and dropped off at the hotel by a wonderful host Alex.

Nothing really. Maybe a few more wine selections at the bar but that’s just our opinion.

Perfect location, very close to the centre of the old part of Bergerac and the River. Yet a quiet area close to main square. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was absolutely perfect for 4 ladies travelling together, everything we liked and very well laid out. Room was spotless and very comfortable, with a lovely little balcony.

Not a complaint, just a fact, no bar but the Hotel was happy for us to have glasses and opened our bottles of wine. After all we were in wine country!

Excellent location, near historic centre, Dordogne river, restaurants, shops and mini markets. Spotlessly clean, large comfortable bed, power shower, fridge, coffee machine, and kettle. Good quality and plentiful breakfast. All rooms have a small front balcony or rear giuliette window. Enjoyed a pleasant and comfortable stay, can recommend.

Nothing to dislike. A complimentary bottle of water in the fridge would have been a very welcome touch on arrival.

Initially we didn't realise how close the hotel location was to the Old Town, but it was well placed. Only a matter of a couple of minutes' walk and we were in the centre of everything and close to the river. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. No parking was available on the first day, but I used the garage on the second day. Very easy parking outside the hotel anyway and not expensive. The breakfast was probably the best "buffet breakfast" I've ever had in a French hotel!

Rooms are basic but adequately appointed and spotlessly clean and well maintained. The breakfast is very good - a wonderful continental style breakfast with an array of wonderful food at a great price. Location is fantastic for exploring Bergerac and the surrounding area and very convenient for a range of shops and restaurants.

The rooms are on the small side but that is to be expected in a town centre hotel. There is some noise outside from traffic and passers-by but only as you would expect given its location.

Really friendly and helpful staff comfortable room with good electric shutters, balcony, coffee machine. Clean and had good air con which was well welcome in the heatwave Good range of breakfast goods available on the buffet All in all an excellent and good value overnight stay - would definitely recommend and hope to return to lovely Bergerac and the Hotel de France soon

A family run hotel where all the staff were very friendly and made our stay so easy. The breakfast was a cold buffet with meats, pastries, cheeses, fruit and yoghurt etc. The pool has plenty of beds and seating around it, and towels provided. The bedrooms were large with either a view over the pool, or a balcony on the street side.

The location was ideal, more or less equidistant between the train station and the old part of town on a nice square. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. We were too late in the season to use the pool but hopefully will go again at the right time of year. The fact that there is a lift is also very helpful.

Location was excellent, across square from cathedral on edge of old city, parking was available but not required. Breakfast was good, comfortable dining room, rooms were a reasonable size with comfortable large double bed, excellent quiet a/c.

Two minor improvements, a small set of drawers is required and a handle on the modern wardrobe to help identify it, made all of our party feel stupid when we failed to recognise it as a wardrobe 😂😂

Central location to Bergerac, with a pool. The room was excellent overlooking the pool. Nice friendly staff also good to have a lift. Excellence selection for breakfast from fresh fruits, ham, salami and cheese, breads and French pastries.

The pool area and garden could do with a revamp. Pool was great though. Cover for gazebo would help when weather is hot. Also cushions for garden chairs would help. But these are just small issues but would take the hotel to the next level.
