Location: Excellent—under a 10-minute walk from Lyon Part-Dieu train station, along a straight and easy-to-navigate road. The area is peaceful and feels safe. First Impression: Smooth check-in with 24/7 reception, secure building, and a keycard-activated elevator for added safety. Spacious apartment with two separate rooms—one with a double bed, the other with two single beds. Separate bath & toilet—clean and well-sized. Comfortable bedding, linen, and towels provided. Small but functional kitchen with crockery, cutlery, and basic utensils for light cooking. Dining area with a 4-chair table (with in kitchen) for meals. Well-ventilated with windows, shutters, and curtains. Quiet & peaceful—no noise disturbances. Air-conditioned—a plus for comfort. Dining: - Breakfast buffet available for €8/person (did not try). - Kitchen allows for self-catering, which is great for families. Service - Helpful 24/7 reception—felt secure Amenities: Secure keycard elevator access Basic toiletries (shower gel, dish soap, No shower soap) Family-friendly setup - Great location near train station. - Spacious, clean, and well-equipped for families. - Secure and quiet environment. - Kitchenette adds convenience for longer stays.

Double bed was a bit small—could be tight for two adults. Bed mattress leaning towards one side which is not comfortable. Probably the staff is not switching sides of the mattress which will create this issue. 60 Euro security deposit, although they told that the amount was released on checkout, but waiting to show on credit card.

Europe and France were experiencing a terrible heat wave, and the Montempo had real airconditioning. It was a welcome feeling every time we came back in from outside to feel that cold air. We slept wonderfully every night. The 9 Euro breakfast is totally worth it! The location offers several alternatives to getting on a metro, tram, or bus - all within 9 minutes walking distance. The parking was also a great rate of 10 Euro/day and being able to lock it in a container assured us even more that our car wouldn't be bothered. Moussa is a very informative and helpful employee and made us feel welcome.

I can't really bring up any negatives.

Clean, efficient accomodation for an overnight stay before boarding a train. Really ideal location for returning the hire car with the train station very close by. Small supermarkets close by and adequate facilities to prepare a simple meal. Effective airconditioning. Polite staff. Comfortable bed.

Relatively short (30 minutes) wait time to be able to access our room after the listed 2pm check in time. It was not a big problem to have to dispose of the garbage on leaving.

The Résidence is very close to Part Dieu station so easily connected with the rest of the city (train, busses, tram and metro), but in a residential and safe area. Our apartment had two big beds and it was very clean and comfy.

This is more a suggestion rather than a complaint: me and my friend both had the breakfast in the hotel, however there are no many options for vegan/vegetarian people. If you could add some options it would be great!

It is within walking distance of the main station even for us oldies - would have helped more if our sense of direction was more accurate though! We used the trains alot while there and recommend them for getting around. The room was quite spacious and has all the facilities we needed. Also window opened. The front desk was always manned and staff helpful. Two lifts meant no waiting when coming and going. Room was clean.

We had no issues with the Hotel and its operation.

Close to Part Dieu station, 7 minutes by foot. Perfect if you go somewhere by train or bus. Tram to/from the airport also stops on the station. The bus stop or tram to the city centre is 3-7 minutes walk from the hotel. It takes 15-20 minutes to go to the old town. Neighbourhoods is fine, not many options of restaurants, but supermarket is open till 22 (not often in Europe). Room is big enough and looks more like apartment - you can cook there if needed, wardrobe is also big to store all your clothes.

I was confused with payment process. It was said on the web site that I’ll be able to pay cash, but when I arrived I was asked to use card that I use for booking. We discussed other options and I almost was rejected to stay though I did reservation correctly and had money to pay for stay. Be careful and have your credit card with you, cash is not always an option even if it’s said on the official web site.

Good value for money: basic comfort, clean hotel at a 5 minute walk from Part Dieu railway station. The small kitchenette was seprate enough from the beds, so our child could go to sleep while we could eat and drink something without bothering her.

Very warm room. The fire alarm responded to the vapor from the shower (which has no ventilation)

The air con was extremely good, bed was comfy, apartment was big and kitchen facilities were handy. Also there was a clothes horse to help dry clothes after washing which was only 4 euro. Very nice place particularly for the price.

One of the power outlets melted my phone charger and smelt like it would've caught fire if I hadn't noticed. Worked fine the first 2 days, 3rd day I plugged it in and that happened. Bathroom smelt a little funky. Kitchen dishes, utensils etc were a bit of a mish mash, no forks, no bowls, I was able to make do with what was there. No coffee or tea in the room, bought my own.

Easy walking distance from the train station and bus lines. Friendly staff. Very clean room. Well-equipped kitchen for the kind of facility. I didn't recommend the rooms for a romantic holiday because they are basic. No frills. But the location is romantic and close to so many lovely places to visit.

My refrigerator did not work and I counted on being able to keep some simple supplies as I worked in my room for part of each day. The staff were sympathetic, but the hotel was full and they couldn't move me to another room.

Reception was always available and the receptionists always helpful. They also helped us in suggesting which parts of the city go to visit and which (type of) restaurants would be the traditional ones (les bouchons Lyonnaise).

Amount of towels was initially too low for a 2-guests room and we had to ask for more. They provided them without any problem. :) Unfortunately the wall sockets were different to what I was expecting there but maybe it is just too much time I have not been in France (?) (I expected EU sockets).
