I was a bit worried about booking this hotel because of the negative reviews I had read, mainly on Tripadvisor. Very happy I went ahead as I think this hotel offered good value for money compared to the other more expensive 4-star hotels in Marseille. The pool is so much nicer than the Radisson (we went to have a look). View from the breakfast/ restaurant & bar area overlooking the harbour/ sea is beautiful and having the rooftop bar and restaurant from the Sofitel (above the Novotel) was great. We went there both nights for some drinks and nibbles.

Breakfast could definitely be improved. Not enough staff to stay on top of things. Floor was quite dirty, had to ask several times for them to bring out more food. Cooking the eggs yourself (I guess the idea is nice) but it took forever. I can see why people complained about the upkeep of the interior. I think the hallways and rooms look in need of some attention, but they were all clean, and you don't want to spend much time in the room anyway when there's so much to explore!

The hotel is conveniently located in the Old Port, close to all the main tourist locations but at the same time far enough from the downtown action. Everything was within walking distance, and if needed, taking a public bus to and from was super easy. The breakfast was excellent!! Great variety of options. The staff super friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay and we’ll return for sure!

The only thing we found a bit uncomfortable were the parking spaces, they tend to be super narrow. We had a rental car for one night and struggled to park while trying to avoid scratching another car.

The location of the hotel is very convenient as close to the Vieux Port. Reception and restaurant area is very nicely decorated and also with great view on the Pharo/Vieux Port which is very nice when having breakfast. Staff is very nice, professional and helpful. Breakfast is amazing (lots of choice) and delicious

Although the room was generally good, the bathroom seems old and needing some refreshment. No view on outside environment (e.g. Vieux Port) but on Reception area's bay window.

We liked everything. Friendly staff, excellent facilities, parking space, great swimming pool with stunning views of Marseille, spacious room, super comfortable bed, DELICIOUS breakfast. Colourful art all around. Well located, safe. A short walk from the Old Port. Everything was great!

The staff were again exceptional. This was our 2nd visit. The facilities and the rooms were great. The views of the Old Port and proximity to sights and amenities was a bonus.

Not much at all. The staff were great and the food was also top notch. Also, really nice breakfasts.

Loved the size and layout of our room - There was plenty of space for 3 people. The breakfast was fantastic and had so many options. Location was great, close to town, buses and shops.

The pool was very cold and needs to be heated. The sun only slightly warmed the pool during the day and it was too cold to use after 4pm. There was also so many smokers at the pool, it really ruined it for those trying to relax. I wish they would ask smokers to only smoke in the upper pool area, so those who don’t want to be exposed don’t have to be. Also, rooms need more power/usb outlets. There was no where to charge our phones easily, and it’s really frustrating. Please put some USB plugs in the lamps or bedside tables.

Convenient location with carpark. Room was very clean. Nice bar with views . We stayed during the Olympics games month and they offered a game to the hotel guests, which we won 2 free drinks. Staff were efficient and helpful.

Great hotel for a night or 2; amazing location with great views towards Vieux Port or Palace du Pharo.

the hair dryer in the bathroom is annoying, only blows for 30 seconds than you need to let it charge and start again and so on; impossible to have a blow dry . I actually had a bad hair day so that was not great.

Mathilde & Clement are wonderful guests, the place is very functional, clean and well located for the centre of Reims, we had a great time and will return for sure if we ever pass through this nice city

Room was very hot and air conditioning seemed ineffective at cooling it down. We had mixed responses about cost of the car park. One receptionist said we had to insert our ticket and pay, a second said we had to insert our ticket and not pay but a third said that we needed a separate ticket to allow us free exit. Quite costly to park so glad we enquired several times!
