I stayed at the Escale Hôtel Oceania Marseille Vieux Port and had an excellent experience. From check-in to check-out, everything was handled with great professionalism and kindness. The room was very clean, comfortable, and offered a magnificent side view of the marina, which made waking up truly special. The location is perfect: right on the Vieux Port promenade, surrounded by many restaurants and brasseries where you can enjoy authentic Marseille cuisine. An ideal starting point to explore the city on foot and soak up the real port atmosphere. A stay I highly recommend and would be happy to repeat!

First of all, Hotel in The best location to explore city, right in port. Room was clean, beds are fine (No tired mattress ), not big but bigger than Some other French hotel I have been to. Excellent staffs, They are really tried to help guests. I want to mention the names, Catherine, Sarah, and sally.I had a problem with my bank, my credit Card, also my sim Card did't work to Call the bank. They did their best for me, tried to pay my bill with their Card, also help me to Contract my bank. Thank you, wish you The best.

As a 3 star breakfast was fine, but could improve a bit.

The location at the Old Port was.excellent. We had booked day tours of Provence which left within walking distance. The room was very comfortable and even though there is a busy pedestrian mall and harbour front around the corner, the room was extremely quiet. The air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was great value and the cleaning and breakfast staff were excellent.

The help at the front desk varied. Some staff were able to understand our needs better then others.

Clean and have a lift. Balcony with side sea view and very good location. Bed is comfortable.

Bathroom has very little mould.

The hotel was in the center of the city. You can see the port from the balcony of the room. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. We rested well every night of our stay. The restaurants and most of the other tourist attractions are within walking distance. Stop by the office of tourism to get more information. The staff has been very helpful. We will return.

There is no refrigerator in the room although there is a common fridge on the first floor for guests.

Incredibly good location for visiting as a tourist, with very comfortable and clean rooms and a lovely view. It was the perfect spot for exploring the harbour and city by foot, and conveniently located for public transport to other calanques or beaches. The rooms were a good size, had comfortable beds and good air conditioning. I slept well and would happily book the same hotel again if I returned to Marseille. A friend also booked separately and her single room was similarly pleasant.

Some finishing touches were missing - such as hand soap in the bathroom or umbrellas to borrow when it rained. But these were all very minor and were definitely outweighed by the positives.

LOCATION - LOCATION - LOCATION. ABOUT 100 mtrs from the harbour where it all happens. Restaurants all very close - buses and taxis very close. And about a twenty minute walk from the rail station and bus station.

Lack of facilities. We like to come back to our accommodation after a great day and relax in the bar or lounge before retiring. This hotel has no bar or lounge. The breakfast was a bit boring by the end of the week. But I suppose you can book room only and go out for breakfast.

The hotel's location was perfect for us as the places we wanted to visit were within a good distance. The hotel staff were very friendly/attentive and we had no issues with them. Breakfast was adequate for us and the room we had was good enough for the time we were there.

The only problem we did have was the bracket that holds the shower head was broken but we managed to sort it so we could still use the shower. We did advise the desk of the problem. Marseille isn't particularly cheap to eat out and beware of the prices of beer/lager, we got stung with a 10 euro pint of lager one night (as we didn't check the price first and I had two pints). But that is obviously nothing to do with the hotel.

Excellent location right next to the old port, various eateries, metro and bus stations. Really good for someone looking to explore Marseille. Street sounds can be heard as windows are not double glazed, but I found that it all goes fairly quiet by midnight. Happily, the room was quite clean and the bed comfortable so I slept very well. The staff were very warm. Breakfast didn’t have much variety but was adequate.

Excellent location right by the Old Port, the metro, buses and ferry. My room had the view of the port, which was lovely. If you open the balcony it gets loud because of the street noise, which didn't bother me at all, I liked the action. Once the balcony was closed I didn't hear any noise. The AC worked well all except one night, but when it worked, it worked well. The room was comfortable while not very large. All the staff were super nice, so they get 5 stars. Overall, I'm quite pleased with my stay and would stay there again.

Housekeeping wasn't consistent. One time they didn't refill the cups. Also having paper cups instead of proper glasses and cups was meh. Not having a mini fridge was a bummer too.
