The hotel is beautifully presented, clean and tidy with bars, restaurants and great views of the port and famous fortifications. The staff are attentive, polite and knowledgeable. Our bags were collected on arrival and taken to our room, check in was smooth and quick. Our room was well laid out with everything we needed, a comfortable bed, space for our bags and a terrace overlooking the port.

Nothing not to like about this hotel.

Hotel was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a rough start - the first room we were given wasn't a twin. So we were swapped to another room which was also not made up as a twin - so they sent housekeeping to change the beds. Then the TV didn't work so we were again swapped to another room. They were very kind/helpful/apologetic. Everything from this point on was smooth sailing.

A few issues on the first day - flies in the room, TV didn't work, couldn't get food at the rooftop bar, room service had a different menu exceptionally that night, called to book the spa and they booked us for 6:45 - but when we got there the spa closed at 7. Spa needs an upgrade (and maybe some better instructions for the swimwear requirements as many other guests were confused (swimwear needed in pool/steam room, naked + towel in Sauna).

At the risk of sounding vulgar, we really appreciated having 2 toilets! We were in one of the larger rooms with an amazing view.

There were so many lights and combinations of light switches that it was difficult to get the lighting right for sleep. After considerable effort, we couldn't figure out how to turn off the ceiling light in the seating room without disabling other needed lights. We ended up leaving the ceiling lights on at night and closing the door to the seating room. I wish they could just have one switch for each light.

Excelled location, staff are excellent particularly those working in the breakfast restaurant

It was said the hotel has a swimming pool but it turned out has got no one, but the compound contains an other hotel which has a swimming pool, the receptionist can phone the other hotel and allow you to use that swimming pool

The attention of the personal was very good The hotel was clean and it has very nice views at different points of the building The breakfast was very good They provided still water and sparkling every day The room was spacious and it had balcony The quality of the towels was excellent

They gave me the last room of the corridor. And the floor was pretty dark, less nice than the other floors they asked for a 150 USD deposit per day that wasn’t informed before and the. take many days to get it back The pillows were good, but it could have been better for a 5 stars hotel

Great location and a lovely, very comfortable Sofitel. Highly recommend - awesome views and wonderful restaurant. Parking and valet service is great!

An outdoor pool would have been amazing in summer - but still a wonderful stay

This is a very nice accommodation with excellent food services. The staff is wonderful! Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the old port was delightful. Excellent location within walking distance of many sites

The Spa facilities are excellent and the property is a perfect location - 5 mins away from the local beach There are a range of room types and I had the opportunity to try out a few during my stay. For perfect views and private terrace space I would recommend the Terrace port view rooms The staff are attentive, friendly and have a great standard of service

Depending on the room level / type, it could appear that the hotel is not a *5. Some rooms / floors require a complete refit - however, there are rooms and suites that reflect a *5 status

Nothing not to like

Well modernized older hotel. Internal state quite modern but exterior looked dated. Staff and service was attentive and five stars. Team was able to secure a booking to a popular and full restaurant at short notice.

Allocated room view was sub-par.
