The location is supreme. Close to the railway station and right opposite the Anne of Brittany Chateau and Cathedral. Walking distance to plenty of other key attractions. Close to restaurants and bars. The staff were super helpful particularly after my sofe sustained an injury while were out walking.

I don't recall a fridge being present in the room. That is very handy to people like us who like to buy local foodstuffs for snacks etc.

The location is excellent. Close to the castle and the shopping area and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and we appreciated the secure parking area. The terrace area outside the room was a haven of peace - unexpected in a hotel so close to the centre of the city.

Being an old building, the rooms are small. There was some mould in the shower area and around the bathroom window which should be addressed. We felt that the room was rather overpriced. That was an acceptable price for us to pay for one night close to the city centre, with secure parking (at extra cost) but for a longer stay it would stretch most budgets.

Great location: easy to reach from the station and right next to the castle. Ideal for me as an older (71 years old) solo female traveller. I also loved the decor: my room was a really classy dark green and there was a jazzy carpet, so nice not to have anodyne neutral decor! Very good breakfast with a large choice of food, cooked and cold; it was also excellent value. I hired a bike and there was safe storage for it.

The staff at reception were very welcoming and helpful. Unprompted they suggested where to eat on a Sunday and also about the free public transport. They also offered garage space for our motorcycle. The room was very spacious and clean but the bed a little too firm for me. The location is very central and convenient.

The bed was a little too firm for me! The layout of the hotel is quite spread out and took a little getting used to. Also the corridors and stairs are decorated in very dark materials and quite low lighting. I found it quite a challenge.

Handy location within eady walking distance of both the train station and the historic old town. Bath. Air con/heating

No english tv. A bit complicated to get to our rooms with bags, using lift, up and down flights of stairs and a few other steps but we were shown to our rooms in person. If we had been staying more than a night i'm sure we would have got accustomed to the best route. No kettle

Location was great but the staff were what made it for me! We were booked for one night on a quick trip to France and lost my plug adaptor while travelling, the hotel staff found one for us so I didn’t have to buy one. Nothing was too much trouble and they were super friendly!

It was a little noisy but that was largely down to other guests.

The hotel looked nice and the staff was very friendly. Everything was clean and they only exchanged the towels we asked for during our stay. The breakfast was good. It included scrambled eggs, sausages and potatoes. It had air condition and a Private parking garage for a reasonable price and they accepted a reservation for it. The reception is 24/7. The hotel is next to the city centre so sight-seeing is very easy starting from the hotel.

The bathroom was separated by a curtain from the room. The toilet had its own room with door but the room was uncomfortable small. The wifi worked only sometimes in parts of the room that were around the door. Especially in the bed it was unreliable. The air condition was behind the curtain in the bathroom so the bathroom was cooler than the bedroom.

It fulfilled our need to be close to the station. It is also a short walk to the shops, bars and good restaurants where there is a lively night life.

The decor is dingy, there was no WiFi in our room. There were silver fish in the bath room and only a curtain separating the bathroom and the bedroom, although the WC was separate.

Finding the hotel was simple, just off the dual carriageway towards Ouistreham and then right into the town centre. The hotel was on the junction to the right. Strangely it has parking on both sides of the road, and this became clear when we checked in, as the room allocated dictates which car park to use. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with bottled water provided as part of the cost. The en-suite was a good size, with a great shower. The hotel location is a relatively short walk from one of key WWII locations, Pegasus Bridge captured by the Allied paratroopers to ensure access for the D-Day landings. I am glad we walked to the bridge, as it was quite busy when we arrived and parking would have proved difficult.

The car park was a bit tight to turn around and face outwards again, but its achievable.

We liked everything: a perfect location within walking distance to all main sights; a very well informed and gracious staff who gave us useful tips on parking, exhibits, itineraries and places to eat at reasonable prices.

There were no on-site parking spots when we arrived so had to go to a public parking near the cathedral. The cost, however, was about the same for a secure space, and it was only a few minutes walk from the hotel.
