The hotel was located in a great location, walking distance to most of the sights & public transport. The staff were very friendly especially Marla, Jack & Benjamin I would like to say a very big Thank You to. We were always greeted with big smiles & most helpful with any request . The breakfast for €10 was excellent, good choices, fresh & plentiful. Hotel rooms were cleaned everyday and were very clean, great shower & nice towels & bed linen. I would definitely stay here again & will come back again later in the year with my sister.

Staff was amazing. Despite the late check-in time they allowed us to left the bags in a sister hotel nearby, the same after the checkout. Even allowed us to use the toilet there when we came to pick our bags. the room was very clean and in general the hotel is quiet. All the facilities were appropriate. They allowed my friend to use the dinning area to make her tea. Since you don't have boiler in the room. The location is super central it couldn't be a better location.

sometimes you ear the water flush flowing from the upstairs room since it's an old building. one of my friends said her mattress was not so good (single bed) the double bed we felt the mattress was good. In general taking in account the value for money and the location this place it's defenetly a great deal in Nantes.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Le Petit Duquesne in Nantes, and I can confidently say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, the friendly staff made me feel right at home. Their warmth and willingness to help truly enhanced my stay. One of the standout features of this hotel is its fantastic location. Nestled in the heart of Nantes, it’s just a short walk from many attractions, restaurants, and shops. Whether you’re exploring historic sites or enjoying a leisurely stroll along the river, everything is conveniently accessible. I stayed in a room that featured a cozy double bed and a single bed, perfect for my needs. The room was clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. I also appreciated that the hotel is spread across three separate buildings, giving it a unique charm and character. One of the highlights of my stay was the early check-in option. Being able to settle in five hours earlier than usual was a huge bonus and allowed me to maximize my time in the city. For such a central location and quality service, the price was very reasonable. I felt I got more than my money’s worth, especially considering the amenities provided. Overall, I loved my stay at Hotel Le Petit Duquesne. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option with lovely staff and a prime location in Nantes, this hotel is definitely worth considering. I can’t wait to return!

20 min walk to the Gare Nantes Station

We knew this would be a basic hotel due to previous comments and facilities stated when booking but it was a really nice place and had what we needed. Not stated in the facilities were soap, shower soap and coat hangers. These do make a difference when booking and we're happy to see them there. We also had thick black out curtains which was really lovely and surprising. It was nice and quiet even as we were on a main road. The room was very clean and got fresh towels each day for out 2 night stay. The bed and pillows were lovely and comfy (1 extra pillow and blanket in the room). We did take the duvet out of the cover as was warm but a very nice stay overall. I'm not certain we could stay in the summer months due to no aircon but there was a large window that we left open during the days to let the air in and it cooled down nicely on the night. On the last day we were allowed to leave our luggage at the sister hotel down the street after check out until we needed to leave for the airport.

We were on the 4th floor, we have been used to travelling recently and always seem to get higher up rooms with a lot of stairs so we can getting used to it now but there is no lift so someone with less mobility may struggle with these. I would just ask for a lower floor.

We had a studio room which had a fridge and a microwave. Unfortunately no pods for the coffee maker. Room was quiet and comfortable.Hotel very close to a variety of cafes/ restaurants. We ate around the corner at a Japanese which was excellent. Chateaux (free to walk through and around ramparts) was worth a visit. Given a pass for a lockup area in carpark nearby for our bikes. First time in Nantes- beautiful!!

Pods for coffee machine and a kettle would have been good. Couldn’t get heated towel rack to work.

The hotel has a great location in the heart of the old town and is clean and comfortable, with numerous amenities within a very short walking distance. There are two options for breakfast, with the full buffet available at the main hotel just two minutes' walk away, or a smaller option (within, for me, a less convenient time frame) available within the hotel itself.

The hotel's check-in does not open until 5pm, which created a queue on arrival. I didn't appreciate being called (hotel policy, apparently) 10 minutes before check-out time to be reminded to leave.

The hotel was in an excellent location for exploring Nantes. Bars and restaurants just outside hotel - we loved the Ragazzi de Peppone! The breakfast was basic - roll, croissant, coffee, fruit juice - but it was just what we wanted to start the day and for 6 Euros a bargain. The rooms had everything you needed but without extras like coffee / bottle of water. The bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming - merci tout le monde! Exceptional value for a pleasant hotel in central Nantes.

A lot of stairs (81 of them!) - our room was at the top. Nothing you can do about it but bear it in mind if stairs are a problem for you. The rooms are different sizes due to the structure of the building. Ours was small and quite compact but our friends had a much more spacious room - so a bit of pot luck involved. The size of room was no problem as we just wanted to sleep there and were out all day. I would highly recommend this hotel for a city break in Nantes but these are a couple of things to bear in mind.

It is the second time I am staying at the Le Petit Duquesne. The staff are extremely professional and kind, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is good for a low price. At my last stay, I did not like so much my room (I found it a little bit noisy) and the receptionist directly upgraded me to a very nice, calm room. What a good service. I will definitely come back to the Le Petit Duquesne hotel every time I am flying in at Nantes airport. A shuttle stop for to the airport is not far from the hotel and the Nantes train station is reachable by foot. The hotel is situated in the city center, close by the historical center and is surrounded by many shops and restaurants.

I didn't expect a lot because this was by far the cheapest hotel offered on bookiing, but it had everything I needed. The location was excellent, right on the edge of the city center, the shower was nice and warm, and the bed comfy and clean.

- The lack of elevators, but that was clearly mentioned on the site. I guess it's more my poor physical condition to blame :) - I couldn't figure out how the sockets worked to plug in my phone charger. In the end I unplugged the night light, which had a working socket.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the location was honestly incredible and if this is what you're looking for in a hotel, then this is definitely the best option. The room was cleaned every day, the towels changed even though I wasn't expecting it so all in all I was very happy with the place.

Other than a bed, there's nothing else in the room. A small wardrobe and a desk. One single window and the so-called "city view" is looking inside other people's rooms because the hotel is in the shape of this hollow square (so let's say "inner courtyard" but there's nothing there, you can't even see the weather well).
