LOVED the location right in the heart of Saint Germain. So many restaurants and bars on your doorstep (including in the same street) to suit all budgets. Actual Parisienne’s eat and drink here too so it’s not all tourists which makes it authentic. Also only a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral or the Louvre. The hotel was cute as was the room. The room is smallish (expected for Paris) however the bathroom was one of the better ones we experienced on this trip (glass screen door on the bath instead of a shower curtain made using a shower over the bath good).

Only negatives are to be expected for Paris (small lift; small room). I deliberately chose a hotel that wasn’t modern in styling so I knew to expect these things.

A small hotel in a brilliant location - just off the buzzy Rue de Buci in St Germain des Prés. The street itself was quiet. Our room was fine - perhaps a bit small, but probably in line with accommodation at that price in central Paris. Breakfast had a good selection of items - for us more convenient to stay in the hotel than to go out to one of the many surrounding cafés. The manager was very pleasant and helpful when one of us returned feeling the worse for wear in the surprise late-April heat.

Best location in Paris. Very impressive design in historical building. Metro 4 min walk. Good choice for restaurants nearby.

Location was excellent. Close to the Seine and a 10-20 minute pleasant walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame and the left bank. 2 metro lines within 5 minutes walk. The property was on a small side street with some restaurants, an excellent wine bar, and a fantastic creperie. Around the corner there were plenty of other restaurants and small markets. The room was small, as expected, but clean and quiet despite facing the street. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. There was a small refrigerator in the room with some beverages (minibar). There was a night stand/desk on either side of the bed with electrical outlets conveniently located just above the night stand for charging phones, etc. The staff was friendly. There was a very good breakfast buffet for just 12 euro per person which included juice, coffee or tea, scrambled eggs which were not overcooked, cold meats, fruit, cereal, fresh croissants and breads. Great value and convenient. We had breakfast at the hotel daily before heading out. The hotel does have a quaint small elevator which is helpful if you’re on an upper floor.

The room size was smaller than what I’m used to and if we had more than one large bag and a carry on we would have had trouble walking around our luggage to get around the bed. There were also no dresser drawers for clothes if you wanted to unpack. We were able to move the bedding in the closet shelves and make room to put our clothes on the shelves but we did have to keep some clothes in he luggage instead of unpacking everything for a week’s stay. It wasn’t a big deal but just set your expectations if you book standard room with full size bed.

Location, you are 200 meters from 20 restaurants and cafes. 10 minute walk to the Louve and 2 metro stations. The staff is very good. The Osso Bucco directly across the street at the pizza place is a must for 17 euros. So many good restaurants get a reservation for the Procope if you can. Founded in 1686. Bakery 20 yards away became a daily ritual. Metro allows you to bounce all over Paris inexpensively. Its worth spending a couple hours figuring it out and its kind of a fun adventure.

Small room. Like the bathroom door only opens halfway because it hits the bed small. Dusty, the daily housekeeping was fine but a deep clean hasn't been done for a very long time. When I set my pack back on the top of the bureau, to try and make a little more room to move around, the bottom got coated with dust. Also, there's tons of smokers in Paris. We figured out pretty quickly to eat inside the cafe or restaurant if we didn't want our meal wrecked by cigarette and sometimes cigar smoke.

Staff were really helpful and friendly and if we had any questions or needed assistance or advice they were only too pleased to help and arrange things for us. Hotel is ideally situated at the heart of Saint Germain and close to both Metro and RER stations for getting around Paris and to Versailles and Disney Land. Room was clean and change of all bedding and towels every day was great. Optional breakfast so you can decide on the morning whether you want it or not and good variety and certainly good value.

Initially bathroom felt a little small but after a day or two it was fine - we stayed five nights and are returning next week!

I stayed in this hotel maybe 15 times, maybe more.. Its location, proximity to all major places in Rive Gauche, hotel is in a very lively area, despite its great sound insulation and comfort in the room, sincere and professional approach of all the staff. Cleanliness, convenience, comfort, typicality of the rooms. Every detail in the hotel has a soul... I can write more, my space is limited. Greetings to Monsieur Theo. Due to the taxi problem we had on the day of departure, Monsieur Eric personally carried my little son’s suitcase and took us to the taxi stand. What more can be said :) mille merci et a la prochaine insallah. 😀

It is absolutely the best location - down a quiet side street with a wildly varied range of food from high end Japanese, to ramen, to sake/vienoisserie bar, to Greek, to French brasseries and crepes. It is just around the corner from countless notable restaurants and cafes - it is a lively neighborhood with a great vibe. There are specialty shops where you can pick up pates or cheese to assemble your own picnic or charcuterie board. You are only a block away from the designer shops on St Germaine des Pres. It is an 10 - 15 min. walk to Notre Dame or St. Chapelle. The Metro is one and a half blocks away and the taxi stand is at the end of the block. The buffet is a good value with croissants, juice, coffee, yogurt, cereals, real scrambled eggs, and sausage. The hotel has a lovely lobby and the breakfast room makes you feel like you are in a cozy vaulted wine cellar.

The room is well decorated, but a tad small. I suppose that is unavoidable in Paris given the historic nature of the area.

We loved the vibrant and convenient location! The hotel is cozy and cute. There is a small elevator and excellent AC. Breakfast was in a cool stone room in the basement and was a good value at 12€. Staff was friendly, helpful and very sweet. Very comfy bed, powerful water pressure and small fridge in the room were all great.

The hotel is old and there are related interior noises associated with plumbing, etc. Also, the neighborhood is very popular and some noise could be heard that could be an issue for a light sleeper. Coffee in the room was instant which was very disappointing.

The room itself is absolutely gorgeous. The furniture, wallpaper, and bathtub are stunning. The building itself is very cool, the old-school elevator and the carpeted spiral staircase. Location is perfect, I never had to stress about hurrying to get something to eat because there are some great restaurants immediately outside. Not too far from the station as well, so wasn't a long way to get to with a suitcase. Close enough to Notre Dame, Louvre, etc.

The walls are quite thin, you can hear neighbors if they're having a loud conversation or even just coughing. It is an old building which is part of the charm, but yes thin walls is one downside to that. You will definitely hear the cleaning staff from early morning onwards. If you're awake early then this isn't an issue, but if you're someone who sleeps later it is something to be aware of. The hairdryer was an old-fashioned one which while also cool, did partially break and ended up making it difficult for me to turn off - which I had to call reception about. They were able to give me a modern handheld one instead.
