Good location - directly at metro, not far from city centre, supermarkets etc near to the hotel. Good price. Big room. Available hairdryer. Quiet room (no noise from the street but you can hear people in other rooms). Kind receptionist.

Work of cleaning ladies was strange. 1)There were no pillows in my room during first and second night. I received them before third night. 2)Cleaning lady left window open. I came back in the night and temperature in my room was low (end of March). 3)One day the towels disappeared and I did not get new ones automatically. 4)Also soapbar disappeared and I did not get new one. 5)There was dust on the floor (especially under the bed) - my slippers were unclean. Automatic ventilation brought smell of sewer. Low pressure of water in shower. It could be warmer in the room. Too soft bed.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, very similar to the photos published. For a couples trip, when we only wanted to sleep in the hotel because we were walking around the city everyday, is a perfect choice. The location is amazing, really close to the metro, in a very good area, safe and with supermarkets, bakeries, bars and a McDonald's in the same corner. The bathroom was comfortable, modern and clean. Also, it had a hair dryer (We were not expecting it, but was an amazing surprise, specially for the sort of cold weather we had for spring. The staff is very helpful and educated. They also gave toiletries, free coffee, tea and sugar. It was really hard to find a place we trusted and considered adequate for the value, this Hipotel definitely was worth it. We are already recommending it to our friends.

My only problem would be that some sort of repairs were done the first two days of our stay and there was a loud hammer we could feel through the walls. That being said, it was during working hours (when I guess they weren't expecting guests to be in their rooms yet), so it's just and observation and not a complaint, because I get they have to maintain the place and it was done on normal hours. During the night we had peace and quiet, only interrupted by the sounds of other guests arriving. In the hotel, as we have found happen in a lot of places in Europe, the walls are thin.

Excellent value for money. A great location surrounded by everything you need and a Metro stop literally right outside. My room was on the top floor and had a small balcony with great views which was a lovely surprise. Although the room was very small it had everything I needed, including tea and coffee to last the trip. The bathroom was clean and well equipped with a decent shower and the bed was nice and comfortable. The room exceeded my expectations. Again, the room was very small but excellent for this price. Staff were very friendly and the desk was always manned. Check in/out very quick and easy. Perfectly happy with my stay.

My only complaint is that the doors were very noisy so I was awoken in the night quite a lot by neighbours doors banging, although this may be less of an issue if you have considerate neighbours. Also be aware this hotel has a tiny one-person lift and a tight spiral staircase. Not an issue for me but may be to some people.

The room was very clean and a good size, matress was comfortable and the bathroom was a great size and nice. The metro station right outside made getting around very easy and it was a short walk to Bastille area. I loved the built in hair dryer. All the staff we encountered were very nice and did their jobs effciently.

It would be nice to have a coat hook in the room. I was also not a huge fan of the pillows, but could be my personal preference! There is also no air con, so can get quite hot at night depending on the weather- although opening the window did the trick.

The location is great with good access to the metro as well as local resturants and cafes. I have seen other comments about the room being small or the building being old, and sure the building is old but it's kept clean. They could do with a few small repairs and some paint touch ups, but honestly for the price you pay it is perfectly adequate and comfotable accomodation (to those complainers... just remember you're not paying Hilton Hotel prices). When we travel we just want a safe, clean and comfortable place to sleep after a day out exploring the area and this did the job perfectly.

The only real issue we had was on occasion (about 3 times during our stay) we'd get a feint sewer type of smell in the bathroom. It wasn't strong but just enough to make your nose twitch. My theory (based on the shower being the stronger smelling part) is there is a shared waste service pipe and when hot waste water enters it from another unit then the smell rises up through the shower drain pipe but that is just me guessing. Honestly we just opened the window for a minute to air the room and it was fine.

Overall, the hotel served our purpose for having a reasonably priced place to stay in Paris. We stored our luggage upon arrival as well as our departure day which was very convenient. The double bed room was a bit on the small side compared to the room with 2 single beds (not a big deal since we only stayed a few days). The location was excellent - close to the metro, shopping, resaurants and a few doors down from a laundromat. The front desk staff was excellent!

No complaints. We can't speak to the quality of the breakfast because we ate outside of the hotel for all of our meals.

A fantastic location for staying in Paris without spending the sums required to be closer to the center - 30 seconds walk from Voltaire Metro in the 11th, plenty of cafe's and restaurants within easy walking distance as well as supermarkets, bakery's etc. as it is very much a residential area. 20 mins max Metro travel to the very center of Paris. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a balcony - fantastic!

The pillows are more like a large cushion, but if this is all we have to say that wasn't so good, it sums up how good the hotel is!

I've stayed in Paris on a number of occassions and must say this has been the best hotel for me so far. The staff were really friendly and a majority of the time present/available. The hotel was clean and our room was spotless. The room was cleaned daily with fresh linens. The size of the room was just perfect for a few nights. We had a beautiful view of the street and loved to people watch in this beautiful city. The weather was quite cold and even snowing, and we were pleasantly surpised to arrive to a warm and cosy room. There was a tv, kettle and hairdryer all functioning perfectly. There is a cute lift, but it is quite small so keep that in mind if that's an issue for you. The location was perfect for our travel plans. We love to walk as much as possible and we found it a great base to explore the city and walk off those croissants. Overall we are very happy with our time at the hotel and really hope to return in the future. Thank you Hipotel Paris Voltairre staff!

I am very happy with my stay overall. However, the bed wasn't the most comfortable. It was also a bit noisy, everytime one or the other turned it made some noise waking the other. In all my years of travel though, it was simply uncomfortable, but fine for a few nights. The hotel was quiet, but having the wonderful view/windows does allow for street noise. I'm happy with the view, but for sensitive sleepers it is in the city (which comes with city life and noise). Lastly, when we went to check out no one was around at reception. We waited, but eventually left it on the desk with some others, but we would have felt more comfortable had someone been there to acknowledge we returned it. Overall though, a great experience and I really recommend it.

Great place to stay, very close to various restaurants and places to buy everything, pharmacy, liquor, food etc. Metro station, Voltaire, just at the door step. Bus stops near by. Very clean an service well, didn't grab the breakfast option but did look good. Great place to stay go out in the morning enjoy Paris and come back to rest.

Very narrow staircase, if you carry large luggage but nothing to worry about it has a very small elevator, 2 person lift, wich was very useful for the large luggage.

Location is top! Metro #9 just 2 steps from the door, shops, pharmacy, ... Beds comfortable, room cleaned every day, inner-yard view rooms perfect for nice breeze and quiet long night and morning sleep. We loved the place, we would come back again.

2 Double-bed room is a bit small for 4 but we stayed for 4 nights and it was ok. Maybe some additional storage area would be great. Breakfast had no fruit or meat, salamy.
