I love Hotel de Paris. This was maybe my third or fourth stay and every time I am very satisfied. The hotel is located across from the train station and a subway/bus hub. Very convenient to discover the city or travel out of Paris. The neighborhood is safe and offers a lot of dining options (brasseries, cafes, restaurants, creperies). There is a theater nearby. The hotel is clean and quiet. There is an elevator. Some rooms have a view of the patio which is very relaxing. The room was spacious, clean and the bathroom spotless. Coffee/tea maker available in the room. Breakfast is served downstairs and offers a lot of cold/warm options. The staff is very helpful and kind. You can leave your luggage at the reception if you must leave well after checking out. I will be back!

Excellent location. Just near to Montparnase station gate next to McDonald's. The room is small, but the counter can keep the lugage at the lobby. We had a pleasant stay there. I strongly recommend this place to people who needs to travel with train.

Reception seems very busy but they were kind except one person who could not communicate in English well. And yes, I tried to speak in French first and my husband is French- whenever I could not understand clearly and ask question the person ignores me and just talk to my husband. Beautiful attitude.

The hotel is right across the street from the Montparnasse train station, which makes it very convenient for early morning departures. The neighbourhood is full of interesting shops and restaurants, and is not far from the Luxembourg gardens. Good breakfasts, with a machine for self-serve cappuccino, great breads both sweet and savoury, cheese and meat, and I think you can get eggs if you ask. There's an elevator to take you and your luggage to the rooms.

Our shower had a blocked drain, so we had a flood on the first morning that left the carpet outside the bathroom damp for a day afterwards. They were quick to address it when we mentioned it to the front desk, but I imagine it wasn't the first time, since there was a musty pong to the room we were in.

We booked this property for it's proximity to Gare Montparnasse so that we could easily pick up our rental car the next morning while not having to walk too far with our large suitcases and for that, it didn't disappoint. Apart from that, we really liked the location because it was easy to find places to eat even late at night and the area didn't feel dangerous at all. Room-wise, this size was a bit cramped with our 3 suitcases and 2 backpacks. It would be perfect for a solo traveller though. Otherwise, the room was very clean, new, and very comfortable. The aircon worked well, there were cabinets to put my things in and a closet to hang our clothes. On the first night we were there, the heater in our room wasn't working but it was great that they let us use another room to shower in without having to move as well.

Would've been nice had the room been slightly larger or had more floor space for our luggage but for the price we paid, I can't complain!

With our generally low expectations of what a hotel at this price in Paris would be like, we were pleasantly surprised by everything about this hotel. The location was perfect for quickly getting to/from Montparnasse train station, and there are plenty of great restaurants around. The welcome was friendly, efficient and helpful, and all front desk staff were a delight. The room and bathroom were absolutely spotless, and we appreciated small details, such as tea, coffee and cookies, decent size smart TV, good wifi, and good lighting. Our room had zero street noise, which was great, and the bed was super comfortable. All in all, is likely to become our regular for short Paris trips.

Everything was fine. We had a couple of minor issues with appliances, which we reported on departure and had the sense that they will actually follow up. There could be a little internal noise from other rooms, but nothing too disturbing.

The location was great. The room was a good size for one person. The bathroom was clean. Good water pressure! Plenty of towels. Cute decor. I was quite happy when I entered the room, I thought it would be smaller.

The room was very warm even though the radiator and heater was switched off. Unfortunately the bed linens didn't come with a top sheet. This made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. This might be a personal preference although Paris was unseasonably warm the day I was there.

Travelling with a friend, we booked the family suite. Though relatively expensive for 2 people it gave us separate but linked rooms, which was ideal. Situated in a courtyard at the back of the hotel there was no traffic noise and sitting on the balcony was very peaceful. Having a fridge was excellent. Being close to the Tour Montparnasse meant we could get a day-and-night ticket and go up again after dark and watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle, which was brilliant.

The sign in the bathroom said towels on the floor would be replaced but those on the rail would be left. We were happy to reuse our towels so left them hung up but they were replaced each day. Why bother offering an eco-friendly option if it isn't operated? Tea and coffee supplies weren't always topped up, and the cups were very small. None of these things was sufficient to spoil the holiday, just niggles.

Perfect location across the road from the Gare Montparnasse in an area bustling with bars, shops and restaurants. The Boulevard Montparnasse leads you directly en route for the river and easy access to all the main sights by foot if you enjoy a good walk. The hotel is comfortable and clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are not large, but this is Paris! The beds are very comfy. Rooms on the front get the sun and enjoy the vibe of the street. By contrast, rooms facing away are much quieter and cooler. We were grateful for the aircon. I would definitely return to this perfectly placed, friendly little hotel, which represents good value for money.

The lift was rarely working during our stay. The breakfast on Saturday was generous with fresh bread and pastries and delicious scrambled eggs. However, on Sunday it was clear that we were eating the previous day’s leftovers and although breakfast finished at 10am, the eggs ran out at 9am and we were told that there were no more available! Disappointing…

Location was excellent, well connected by Metro, bus and train. Entrance to main SNCF station right across the road. Area had plenty and varied eating and drinking options. Felt staff could be a bit more informative at check -in eg; breakfast times, wifi codes., how air con woked, we had to find out for ourselves. .

I enjoyed the buffet breakfast but felt the options were a bit limited for the price. Should have gone for the express formule at half the cost.

Although it was small it was comfortable. Each room had its own cafe table and chairs. It was newly renovated. The shower was amazing. Once you enter the chaos of the city disappears. They have a lovely sitting room in the lobby so my husband could work. For any Beatles fans we had a blackbird singing outside of our window and we were in room 64!

Outside of our room was a giant pile of white plastic bags. We couldn’t open one large window because of it.
