The location was extremely good. No more than 10 minutes from Montparnasse Railway station and about 2 minutes to the nearest metro station. There always seemed to be a pleasant and helpful person on reception and they advertise that reception is open 24/7. We had help with our bags to and from our room and our bags stored after check out until we left Paris later in the day. Although the area could be described as 'lively', my daughter and I felt perfectly safe. For a hotel in central Paris, the price was extremely good and everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay again.

This is an old, narrow townhouse with, I should think, little room for an elevator but, oh my goodness, the stairs! Fit, young things, with a back pack, would find little problem but older, less agile customers, with a suitcase might struggle. I am relieved that I was not on the top floor! However, the reception staff were happy to help with our bags without us having to ask. I had read other reviews which said that there were no disposable cups to drink from in the room and that it was difficult to get a bottle under the tap. This would be a bit of a problem if arriving hot, tired and thirsty - just make sure you have bottles of water with you.

Location fabulous near 2 metro lines and in a bustling street full of theatres and restaurants. My room was quiet as facing back, but it was extremely hot as I was next to the boiler room (103) It was also next to the reception so could hear people if they were arriving, but not an issue. Reception 24hrs and have to ring to get in, no lift. Staff polite. Shower room so tiny! Could easily touch all 4 walls! I had a window that I could open so luckily had some breeze, otherwise the room would have been very hot, as I was there during heatwave! I would definitely come back because of location and price. Next to metro lines 13 and 6, one change of metro to airport or to Gare de Lyon

Small shower room and very hot room

This is a small, simple and cosy hotel which has been newly renovated and the rooms look exactly as in the pictures here. I had a single room on the third floor, it was small (especially the bathroom) but fine for me. The hotel is located in a busy part of the city but it was not noisy at night. There are many restaurants and shops around, the Gare Montparnasse is less than 10 minutes walk and all the places in Paris can easily be reached by public transport (one of the metro stops is 20 metres from the hotel). Wifi worked very well and the young guys working at the reception, especially the one checking me in, were very kind. There is no breakfast served at the hotel but there are bakeries and coffees around. Overall, I was very happy with my choice of the hotel in Paris and I would not hesitate to return.

There is an unpleasant noise coming from (most likely) air conditioning in the courtyard. Fortunately, it stops in the evening.

The property is a little gem! It is beautifully redecorated and everything was spotless. Amazingly comfortable bed! The staff were really helpful and did not mind me turning up at 1.30am after a train delay. Amazingly close to Montparnasse station. Ideal for an early morning train. Thoroughly recommend.

Not a complaint- just that people need to be aware that the property is over 4 floors and there is no lift.

Very central - only 5 minutes walk to Gare Montparnasse but really quiet despite being in a busy area. Room very clean with really comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful.

A fan in the room would have been good as it was a warm night and maybe a facility to make tea and coffee. Up lots of stairs to our room and no lift.

Excellent location (near restaurants and public transport), friendly and helpful hotel staff. The room was perfect for a short stay.

The only drawback was noise travelled relatively easily from the hallway and neighboring room(s). It didn't bother me but I could imagine it may cause some discomfort for someone with sleep issues.

the receptionist was very professional and nice, made sure the front door was locked at all times. good sense of safety.

Clean, very nice decor and bed, right outside metro, bus to the centre, obviously the Montparnasse station, walking distance to great restos, staff were very nice.

Can hear your neighbours very well, even if they're not being noisy

Lots of bars and restaurants nearby, and handy for metro and other transport. Friendly, helpful staff, with 24 hr receptionist. Big, comfortable bed, good toilet/shower and recently updated.

There was no a/c or fridge in the room, and the building (4 floors) has no lift. The local area is mixed, varying from "posh shops" to "a bit seedy".

The hotel is only a few minutes from the train station, with excellent access to the main tourist sites. The room was clean, and the staff were very helpful and kind.

The room doesn’t have air conditioning or a fan, so it can be a bit warm in the summer.
