As two 70+ travellers, we requested the lowest floor available when we made our reservations. The hotel went above and beyond our expectations by booking us into a ground floor room that saved us many steps over our four day stay. We realized when we checked in and started to explore the area that we were only one block from the Montparnasse Cemetery, where many literary eminences are buried, and only a ten-minute walk from the Catacombs. The rue Daguerre has a host of excellent restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and open-air market stands. It is almost like a fairy tale vision of what a Parisian streetscape should look like. We enjoyed the hotel's breakfast on our first day but it was not served over the weekend and the manager advised us to grab a pastry and a cup of coffee on the street - which was easily done. Our room was small by American standards but very comfortable. The bathroom was large and deluxe. The front desk was staffed overnight and we found both the day shift and night shift managers to be friendly and helpful.

There was no shuttle to the airport. We were informed that shuttle service had been lost during Covid and never came back. Though we could have taken the Metro to CDG, we realized that would be very cumbersome carrying our suitcases, especially given how extremely crowded with riders the Metro trains were most of the time. Through Booking.com, we were able to reserve a taxi at a very competitive rate and that was money well spent for convenience and stress relief.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We did have a hiccup as we requested a walk in shower. Not a shower over the bath. The receptionist was very apologetic but it was just a misunderstanding. There are about 12 steps to reach a tiny lift capacity 1 person and a small suitcase but better than more stairs to climb. We did not have the breakfast. Great little street with lots of bakeries, restaurants and a small supermarket all within walking distance.

As above the shower over the bath. Montparnasse Gare the huge railway is within walking distance even with a wheeled suitcase. Drawback is the distance between this station and the subway. It is a very long way on escalators and walkways to reach it and does take plenty of time to reach. Also make a note of the street you want to exit from because there are a few exits and popping out of an unfamiliar street is frustrating.

The hotel’s location is excellent, with several metro and bus stations nearby, and it’s within walking distance of the Jardin du Luxembourg. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of cafés and restaurants around—we recommend Madame Ngo, which is right next door. Our room (the yellow room on the 6th floor) was spacious for Paris standards and very clean. The air conditioning was a big plus after a full day of walking in the sun. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We were informed about the small elevator in the welcome message, but it wasn’t an issue for us—two people and two cabin suitcases reached the 6th floor easily.

The hotel does not provide slippers, so we had to manage without. The Wi-Fi connection on the 6th floor could be stronger. Breakfast is quite limited, and I would not recommend it if you have food allergies or intolerances. Also, it is not clearly stated at the time of booking, but the full amount of your stay will be pre-authorized 2–3 weeks in advance, so it’s not truly “pay at the property.”

Great location, 10 - 15 mins walk from Gare Montparnasse, lots of interesting little streets to wander with small interesting looking shops. It seems to be the Italian area - lots of pizzerias! Hotel rooms are quiet. I had a single room with a king single bed which was comfortable. Even though the room was small, there was still room to move and everything you need, including space to hang clothes. Windows that open and views across Paris rooftops.

Probably not something that can be changed but be aware that the lift is very small and there are stairs to and from the lift. I wouldn’t attempt with bulky luggage

The staff are very welcoming and friendly, it was always a pleasure to see them when we left in the morning and came home throughout the day. There is a small fridge in the room so we always had cold water - a must in 30°+ Parisian summers. The room also has its own adjustable air-conditioning and we would sigh in relief when entering.

The beds are quite firm and i am used to a softer mattress. This is not the fault of the hotel by any means, just a personal preference.

The hotel is very clean, location was perfect for my needs (very convenient to Gare Montparnasse) and the staff was very kind and helpful. The single room was compact but comfortable. Enjoyable view from 5th floor room, including distant magnificent Sacre Coeur on the hill.

If you have mobility issues, as I did, starting shortly before my trip, you must reserve a ground floor room. There were none available when I knew I had a problem, although Sophie did her best. There is a small elevator that starts and stops on landings between floors so there are about 10 steep steps up or down whatever floor you are on, with a small pie slice landing and first descending steps. Impossible if you use a walker and scary with a stick/cane. BTW, I did receive a warning email about accessibility issue a week or so before my trip, but appropriate rooms were all booked.

We was fear about some reviews on internet , but finally our room was bigger than expected and more than the average in Paris ( we love that beautiful city and came here for many years ;), Its was also very clean and there was everything you need inside. We got and really enjoyed the French breakfast with croissants and baguette from the street bakery, the cheese assortment was totally awesome ! Staff were polite and helpful, they booked us taxi last day, helpful for metro stuff etc.. This Daguerre street is really typical and lively, with plenty of restaurants, bars, bakeries etc.. we will come back here for our dinners for sure.

Elevator need to do about 10 steps for access, but we were aware of that with booking hotel message, by the way we had much more stairs travelling with metro so its not so big deal for us (old people with big luggages should be careful therefore with that )

I loved the location! It was on a very charming street with shops, cafes, restaurants. Walking distance to Metro or the bus station. We primarily used Uber and Taxis. If you prefer the public transportation route it was very close. The property was very clean with a very helpful and friendly staff!

The tiny elevator. We will stay here again but pack smaller suitcases. Our bags were 40 to 45 lbs and trying to get them up the stairs to the tiny elevator and up another flight of stairs to our room was a work out!

Small hotel located not far from Montparnasse Railway Station and its surroundings, many restaurants and supermarkets right away. Also about 8-10 min walk to Denfert-Rochereau station of RER line B (to CDG airport) or bus station to Orly Airport. The room was tiny but quite comfortable, everything you need was offered, including tea/coffee set. The reception was friendly and helpful. All in all a good option to stay for 2-3 days.

The only thing that could make our stay a bit uncomfortable is the street noise which is heard quite good even with the closed windows. And I don't mean night life noises - its the morning services like street cleaning, garbage pickers etc. Ear plugs could be helpful though.

Excellent location and access to public transportation. Not touristy. In addition to many restaurants, there were other businesses like a pharmacy, ice cream parlor, supermarket, bakery, fruit stand, and coffee shop nearby. One could experience authentic Parisian life.

I had breakfast once but didn’t like it enough to have it at the hotel during my stay. However, there were many options within walking distance. Also, the hotel only cleans the rooms in the morning, so if you leave the room after noon, it won’t be cleaned.
