The hotel was in a good, calm and safe area, close to the hotel we had many metro lines and one big train station from which you could travel pretty much anywhere. The best thing about the hotel was their staff. The whole staff, from receptionists to room service were super friendly, polite and helpful, they really deserve a good raise for a service that they provide!

Our room windows faced a kindergarten so there was a lot of noise during the first part of the day, the rooms and corridors need some maintenance, the paint was chipped in some places, ac was not properly working at first.

The rooms were so clean and the beds were so comfortable. The staff on the reception desk were all very kind and polite. The location is great too, just a few minutes walk from the montparnasse station meant we could go out anywhere we wanted, and many more shops and attractions to see locally. Lots of lovely restaurants and shops nearby too.

The only thing I found missing was a kettle in the room as we like a cup of tea! (You can tell we’re British!)

Comfy beds. Clean room. Cleaning service respected the do not disturb/no cleaning request. Good temperature. Functional windows for privacy and fresh air! Great closet/shelving space (though it needed more hangars) for personal belongings. Lobby area was always tidy. Reception staff were friendly and available 24/7. Great location: quiet, safe and near public transit. Also close to some good vegan spots and one of the noteworthy Paris cemeteries!

Booked two single beds, but was given a room with one bed at check-in. The reception staff was really nice and moved us though, no problem! But even in the room with two beds, the beds are so close that they are essentially touching. lol Not much personal space at night.

We recently had a fantastic stay at a hotel in the charming Montparnasse district of Paris. The location was perfect for us as it offered a genuine Parisian experience, far from the tourists. Surrounded by local bars and restaurants, we enjoyed the vibrant neighborhood atmosphere, yet it was still conveniently close to the city center, making it easy to explore all the major attractions. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality truly enhanced our stay. Additionally, both the room and the hotel overall were impeccably clean, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, we are thoroughly satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to experience the authentic side of Paris while staying close to the heart of the city.

One of the lights in the bathroom did not work, and despite informing the staff, it was not fixed during our stay. This made it a bit uncomfortable for me to do my makeup.

I was very happy with this hotel. Reasonable pricing, very clean and modern room, friendly and helpful staff. Good location , near several metro and bus stops. Also very close to several bars, restaurants (rue de la Gaite), supermarkets. Very close to Montparnasse cemetery which is worth a visit. Would book again.

I got caught up in the Eurotunnel strikes before Christmas and needed emergency accommodation for the night. Luckily I stumbled upon a room at Hotel du Maine. The staff were friendly. I noted they had a breakfast option but the neighbourhood has a few bakeries and cafes nearby. The room itself was clean, orderly and had everything I needed for a one night stay. It was very good value for money and an excellent last minute find!

The lift is rather small but this is a minor point.

We had a great sized room and they were very friendly during check-in. The team was also kindly able to accommodate our request for twin beds, rather than a sharing one, which mean we were both able to sleep! We were in the exact location we wanted to be and for a great cost too. Breakfast was also good, it was just a simple buffet with plenty of options to chose from, but not so enough that loads of food goes to waste

Not much really, the only POTENTIAL complaint we might have is that one of the soap dispensers in the bathroom (by the sink) was never filled, despite us requesting it - however, it wasn't the end of the world since there were 2 dispensers and the one in the bath was filled.

The room was perfect for me as a solo traveller. The price was excellent, especially given the location a short walk from Montparnasse station, and the room was nicely appointed. A shower - small but big enough for me! - and nice windows and a fan on the ceiling to keep cool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A very good night's sleep in Paris for a great price.

Nothing I can think of. The room was small, but I deliberately didn't want to be paying for space I didn't need. I didn't try the WiFi or the breakfast.

The hotel was very conveniently located in a Paris neighborhood that I am familiar with. It was quite close to a familiar subway station, which I used, and to a very large train station.

It was slightly noisy on one particular night, but that was because of rugby matches going on in Paris at that time. Also, a maid walked into the room too quickly while I was taking a nap with very little clothes on! She immediately retreated, of course. But she should’ve been more careful.

The staff are amazing. Thank you for the breakfast. The entire hotel is lovely.

Only thing I’d recommend is placing a shower curtain inside each shower since the glass door opens halfway and water splashes. This is an excellent hotel though
