Excellent location, in a quiet street within walking distance of Montparnasse station. Close to all transport. Great friendly welcome from receptionist. Perfect, if small city hotel , with room size similar to many city hotels. Ensuite shower room adequate. Bed comfortable and room warm. Lift to all floors.

Having been allocated a top floor room, unfortunately it was an attic room with sloping ceiling. Ideal for one person, but roof was a bit challenging for second person, with a danger of a few headaches if forgetting to duck ! Better to request a room lower down.

The hotel is what you'd expect for a 2 star hotel... More than adequate for a few days away, without being anything really special. However, the location is excellent, with a fantastic selection of restaurants very close by, and easy access to the main transportation networks in Paris.

There was nothing in particular about my stay that I disliked. I did feel like the staff were a little uninterested, but... it's Paris! The hotel itself was clean, and well maintained, but the access to the rooms was somewhat cramped (I barely fit myself into the elevator), so probably not recomendad for anyone with a disability.

The room is cleaned everyday and the towels are changed too. This is great! The room gets really warm with the heater in this cold winter which is pretty good. The shower is excellent and the bed is very comfortable.

The room could have more light and more electrical outlets are needed. Furthermore, the mirror is so high that I had to put it on the table to be able to see myself. But these are just small suggestions that would make the trip even better.

I really liked the neighborhood - it was calm, not touristic and very safe. The hotel was also very clean and the building was not big which made it more cosy. The room was small but nice and very clean. We didn't buy breakfast but there were lots of places around to go for meals. Metro stations are close to the hotel.

The only thing I could complain was sound insulation - you could hear voices of your neighbors. But as we spend very little time in the room it didn't bother much. One more little inconvenience - you need to verify wife each time you come back to your room.

really nice location - easy access to bus, train metro . a lot of restaurants on the street but the same time street very quiet. Room big enough for 2 people. Lovely little patio where you can enjoy coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evening when too tired to go anywhere after busy day.

only one power socket but get extension from reception. Still if you need more then 2 devices to charge that could be challenge.

Tipi hotel is in a great location and I found it very quick and easy to get to all the places I wanted to visit. The hotel is on a mostly pedestrianised street with lots of cafes, restaurants and fresh food stalls. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel as there were so many tasty options nearby. I found my room to be very clean and plenty big enough for one person. There was space for my bag and a few hangers to hang a few clothes. The double bed was very comfortable. The receptionist was lovely and very helpful.

I enjoyed my stay at Tipi, there was nothing during my 2 days there that I didn't like. I would definitely stay here again.

Contrary to the other reviews, my room (21) was clean, shower and bathroom was all good and single bed (actually a three quarter) was very comfortable. I arrived late but check in was fine - ok to pay on departure. Its just a 30 minute walk to St Germain area which is fine. I had lost my pen but receptionist gave me his which was a helpful start to the day. Will stay again next time in Paris

Perfect location, walking distance to metro station and if you do not mind walking you can also walk to the city centre. The staff was very nice and also allowed luggage storage on my departure day. The bed was comfortable and the court in front of the room was charming.

Apart from the typial hotel issue of thin walls and thus loudness from rooms nextdoor and above, the bathroom was very squashy - everything was there, that was not an issue, but the shower was very small and one corner was sticking out in the middle of the bathroom so I hit my toe twice. And the shower drainage had some hair left in it so a bit of more thorough cleaning would be appreciated.

Value for money, good position, very clean and the hosts where very kind. Close to transportation.

The room was a bit small without a mini fridge. I know we could have seen it but I'm just letting other people know so they do not expect something else.
